You can have reasons or results, but usually not both.

You have two ears and one mouth....use them in accordance with that ratio.

The best thing you can say is, "it depends."  An attorney will probably have a hard time pleading you out to a lesser charge when your BAC is .29 (my own experience).  I know many who have had attorneys who have saved their ass and many who have paid a lot of money for basically nothing.  Bottom line is to find someone you trust and make the determination if the benefit will be greater than the cost.  Simple.

I had ignition interlock for a year and an SR-22 rider on my insurance for 3 years (it is not off).  My insurance only went up like $40 a month.  no idea why it was that cheap.  I just did what I was told (by the law and by my insurance company) and that's the way it worked out.  Insurance rates are affected by a million things....age, type of vehicle, type of coverage, etc.  All you can do it research and make an informed decision.

Only good thing about my DWI is that it helped me make a decsion to get sober.  I have no idea why I didn't hurt myself or anyone else with as much time as I spent behind the wheel under the influence.  I was just lucky.  I know many who have not been as fortunate.

The message is a great one....don't drink and drive.  But in my own instance, I was gonna do what I wanted to do no matter what anyone else said.  In fact, I made fun of those other people.  That's how sick I was.  Like I said, I was just lucky that I didn't hurt anyone.

Bottom line is it's a preventable thing that can cause a lot of pain and suffering and can cost a lot of money.

Back in the day, I used to try to eat a banana and then have a 20-30 ounces of water.  Then I'd throw down a couple of advil  This was BEFORE I went to bed.

Then in the morning, it was plenty of water (if you read the label of gatorade, it really contains very little sodium and potassium all things considered).  Water alone is generally fine as long as you're not drinking 3 gallons of it.  Usually 2 more advil and then some protein and grease.....eggs, sausage, bacon, etc.

That usually stabilized things a bit and prepared me for another heartbreaking Vikings loss on most Sundays anyway.

You have $3,300 on Houston to win?

Any answer depends on what line you got for Houston to win the series and why you want to hedge.

Seems to me to be a combination of a lot of things:

Pace of play/quality of play/entertainment - Some games go 3:45 now....insane.  And it's a rare day when you have more than 2 or so really good games.

Nonsense factor - Football is about 20 percent of the broadcast. The rest is largely B.S. IMO.  All the talk about politics and protests......all the extra sound.....video.  It's hard to find a football game amid all the extra crap.

Demographics - Let's face it, they are changing.  I used to devote half my Saturday and most of my Sunday to just football.  Now I'm lucky to get in half of the game of my hometown team because all of the other crap going on.  People are as busy as ever and trying to do as much stuff as ever.  Football is time consuming and it suffers.  Golf is dealing with the same thing around here.

The pendulum is swinging back the other way.....as it does with most things.

There are two prominent local sports writers here (one who worked for a local paper and one who worked for the AP) who left their jobs to go to a company that allows them to do what they do best...write about SPORTS related things without all the B.S.  It's on-line content with no pop ups....no misc. political crap.  No distractions.  Amen.

I think part of the sports society is tired of all the extra crap and just want simple stories about the things in sports that interest them.  They get bombarded with all the other crap from other media outlets.

ESPN is going to have to decide what they want to be moving forward.

You don't have to go all the way to Vegas to fulfill your passion of working at a Sportsbook.

Are there any other reasons you want to move out there?

I am not sure how this helps.  If you try to regulate the purchase of ammunition, that creates all sorts of issues itself.  If you just want to be able to track it after the fact, then I'm not sure how it would help prevent something like this in the first place.

I'm a gun guy, but I do support putting some sort of regulation on the ultra dangerous firearms.  Where the line starts and stops, I do not know.  I just think that some of these guns really only have one purpose despite what the NRA says.  Just my opinion.

I am strongly considering a trip there next year and have been reading everything I can get my hands on.  Appreciate the play by play.

Isn't this thing really just another version of an omelette?  Never had breakfast at Taco Bell and don't plan to start soon, but I bet this has a chance to fly.  Put the Gordita wrap on it and it's kind of a McDonald's breakfast burrito of some sort, no?

I was wondering HOW Las Vegas SWAT was able to find the shooters room so quickly. the Mandalay Bay one of THE biggest hotels on the strip. thank God they found him relatively fast

overall gotta give the Las Vegas police and other law enforcement a huge for their actions

It's still early with TONS of details still to come, but most everything I have read and heard indicates that many acted heroically trying tor to save as many as possible (giving up their clothes to stop bleeding, carrying wounded to safety amidst fire, etc.).  And it sounds like law enforcement did a tremendous job as well.  Small consolation, but my hat's off to those folks.

On-line grocery shopping.

We came up with the idea at a bar in 1991.....me and 2 buddies got together once a week to discuss business ideas and mostly to drink beer.

One other thing we came up with that eventually did fly was custom bread mixes for bread machines.

You still have to pay.  The tax is applied as a percentage of the gain only (the percentage will be different for short and long term gains) and is not affected by your income at all.

Looks like he had no brain activity even after they were able to get a pulse.  They have since removed life support.

I don't love his stuff, but I sure respect it.  He did a ton to help other artists and did a boat load for music in general.  RIP.

I hate to say it, but you just can't watch everyone a hundred percent of the time and put metal detectors at the entrance to every building.  At least SO FAR, there was no reason this guy should have been on any watch list.

That said, I am curious to learn more about the details of this (ie. how he got his hands on all these weapons, etc.).

A gambler appears to have lied.  Story at 11:00.

Call me a realist, but this is part of what you take on when you are in that profession.  Good luck to him.  I hope he gets paid.

Mauer against Severino today. A pretty classic pitcher vs. hitter battle.  He fouled off a load of tough pitches and ended up singling sharply in the end.  That's all good, right?

Then there is the fact that there was a catcher/pitcher conference 4 times.  No, not 4 times during the game.  No, not 4 times that half inning.  4 times DURING THAT AT BAT!!

I really can't believe baseball is so full of itself to allow this to crap to continue.  For the love of God, put an end to this.  It's insulting.
