Would love to hear more on Villanova and UTEP? I can't seem to get a handle on the UTEP game and feel like it's going to be a no play. Was interested to see that you had it as 3*.

Biggest concern is if NW gets down early they may be forced to speed up to try to get back in the game and that's a recipe for disaster for the under.

Disappointed to see you on Mason but reading the thread I understand why you picked them. I don't think your logic on that pick is sound though. Even if a team faces the same style of play they may not end up playing well, especially whn they didn't play all that well against it the first time.
Always appreciate your posts though and GL. I'll be on the opposite side as I see value in Manhattan. No reason for Mason to get 7 here. |

Thanks Odds. After looking at the NW/Creighton line a bit more I'm going to stay away from the total. I think it's pretty close either way.
Any thoughts on the LSU/North Texas Line. LSU opened as at -7 and it has quickly been bet down to -3.5...-3 at a lot of places. I think LSU holds value at -3, however a 4 point swing makes me think something is afoot. I know you're not in to line movement... |

Curious about your thinking on the Northwestern game. I'm definitely leaning NW +7 but was also leaning the over but I'm not quite as sure there's value in the total. Two efficient offenses that are mediocre on defense.

Thanks Neil. Appreciate the insight. I took at closer look and still don't like it as much as you do but BOL.

Nice write up and very sound reasoning. It's now at 143.

I'm trying to figure your angle on the Indiana St total...why a 3*?

UNC was sloppy against Nichols because they could be sloppy.

Don't look much into the App Game. Roy isn't one to bury one Carolina's former players by 40. The Heels were up by 30 and let up. They let up against Nichols as well but Nichols can't rebound. Here's the deal on tonights game IMO. I think the line is pretty close - I would say Heels -10. It'll probably be a no play for me. However, I think there's significant value in the over. I know it's the square play however, look at the different scores Texas has put up. They're not going to dictate tempo...they're going to let the other team control the tempo and if that's the case you're going to get A LOT of possessions in this one. If that's the case I would expect this total to blow past 155 and probably easily get into the 160's.

I'm still pissed about Sullinger getting hurt. OSU covers that number easy with him. Hell, they had a chance to cover the number without him if Craft hadn't saved a ball going OB right to a SC player. They were up 13 at the time and then the 3 ball from SC....
Good luck today. |

tOSU is an absolute must if it's 15. USC is an awful awful basketball team.
Using nropps numbers...others I'll take a close look at NCState +14 Purdue -9 App St. +30 UNLV pick |

Fantastic write up. One thing that people should take note of is that UNC-G just changed coaches. Former Tar Heel, Wes Miller, is now the interim coach at UNC-G. I have no idea how that will effect the total however, it does make me a little nervous to play this game as team's often rarely around new coaches that bring energy.

I've been betting the Jags under all year. The Jags were putting up totals in the 20's all year until the last two weeks. The Jags did their part against SD but the Chargers took advantage of the depleted Secondary. Then Tampa...there's no way to account for a team turning it over 7 times.
Unless the Falcons turn it over the Jags aren't very likely to score more than 14 points tonight. On the flip side, the Jags have a solid defense. The only concern for the under is their secondary. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 21-10 or 24-14 type game at all. I think the under is probably safer than the Jags side here. |

Of note...you'd be 12-1 this year playing the Falcons in a teaser. You'd also be 9-4 teasing the Falcons opponent.

Nice call on SC Upstate. I thought that 30 was too many last night as well but had already committed to enough games so decided to bag it and not play that game. Would have been the only game I would have hit last night...
GL today. |
