Do people here really think there is value in this game? Not being smart, just a serious question? I'm sure Bama will not want to show everything with their trip to College Station not far in the future. |

Week 1 - Ok St v.Miss St - This is my perspective...I welcome all takes...
in College Football While I'm a State fan, this will get ugly in the 2nd half. Cboys by 21 plus. |

Alcorn, Troy, and Kentucky are the 3 wins I feel good about. B Green, Auburn, Arkansas are the 3 they need to get to a bowl. If they lose to one of the above, they will HAVE to win the Egg bowl, which will be tough. They will probably end up 5-7. |

65-59 (+15.75u) I have stuck to my baseball stategy this year as in past years. Betting dogs!! I have layed chalk only twice this year with 1 win and 1 rain-out. I never plan to get rich in baseball, but my strategy has kept in the black most of the time in past years. My average play has been exactly +1.15 for my 65 wins which has made me a nice profit at the allstar break. Because of my job and health, I haven't been able to post as much as I would like, but that's life. I can remember only betting 2 dogs that were over +1.50 and I split those two, making a profit. I generally only cap the games where the favorite is -1.50 or less. To be perfectly honest, I like to bet dogs in situations where I think they should be a bigger dog. For example, I look at all the starter stats, team stats, etc and if the dog is +1.10 and I think the dog should be +1.30, I play that dog. It is a contrarion/gut feeling style that works for me. I am not going to get rich, but I usually stay above water until football season. And speaking of football season, I generally shut down baseball on Aug 1st and start on the football. I really can't concentrate on the bases once August gets here. I am too much into the football by then. Best of luck everyone. FOOTBALL IS CLOSE! Charlie

I think Ok St will stop them, on about the 50, Miss St will punt, and Ok St will march down the field, praying on the talented but inexperienced Miss St secondary. I think Ok St will go up 14-0 at the end of the 1st. Then Miss St, gets going, sustains a drive, cuts it to 14-7. Ok St gets going, drives down, kicks a field goal, 17-7. Miss St then sustains a long drive, and kicks a field goal. Ok St finishes the half with a long drive and scores a TD with 1 minute left in the half to go up 24-10. Miss St gets the ball the start the 2nd half, drives, down, but is stopped, punts, Ok St drives down scores, goes up 31-10. Miss St gets the ball drives down, scores. 31-17. Ok St gets the ball, has to punt. Miss St gets the ball, 2 series, then punts. The 3rd quarter ends. Ok St drives down to start the 4th and scores. 38-17. Miss St gets the ball, 3 series, goes for it on 4th down, does not make it. Ok St takes over on downs. Drives down, scores a TD, Ok St 45-17. Miss St. gets the ball, hurry up, sustains a drive and scores, 45-24. Miss St onside kicks, effort fails, Ok St takes over. Drives down the field. Game Ends. Ok St 45 Miss St 24 I know some will say that is too much scoring allowed for a SEC Team, but I challenge by saying that Ok St is one of the most prolific offenses in the country, and though Miss St has a SEC mid tier D, they will give up some points. Both Ok St and Miss St will be playing an aggressive D, which I believe may result in a number of blown defensive plays. What do you guys think?
Totally agree with your assessment. OK state rolls in this one. |

Also, S Mississippi will improve from 0 wins to 4 or 5. If there schedule wasn't so tough, they could challenge for a bowl IMO. S Miss could be a solid ATS team early on. |

It wouldn't shock me to see Ole Miss challenge for a BCS bowl. That is hard for me to say as I follow the M st bulldogs. |

This is one of the best "PASS" games of week one. I will just love watching this one while drinking beer and eating peanuts. Oh, and watching the ticker for the better games to bet on. |
