May God be watching over Lippsman. I miss him too Julie.
I am on the split for a cool 0-4 so far...lol. But there are two rounds so lets chip away at some of that tonight and tommorrow. Don't really remember a home dominance like this in hockey playoffs to begin things.

This is a smart post but there is too much value in what is likely to be another 1 goal game with perhaps an empty not to take the Fishstix IMO. LAFFS better have desperation tonight. What really surprised me is that when Maroon deposited that LAFF player into the Boston bench there was no pushback. And late in the game wouldn't you pipe a B's player to say that we will be there for game 2? They went real gentle and silent into that good night. I just hope Monty sticks with Swayman and doesn't go to Ullmark tonight but I think he may. As for Colorado...I fell asleep as I had to get up at 0445 for work but I see retirement in 4 months. Good luck GA. |

I am on the Split. But even though its a non-qualifier I took the LAFFS tonight. Good luck in the playoffs GA.

Vegas had serious injury problems all year and made a lot of deadline moves to get stronger. I think they are a very dangerous team. I am pissed though because I have 2 Stanley Cup futures from the West and they are Dallas and Vegas so one is now toast early on.

Canes are stacked but when you play tight...low scoring games in the playoffs and run into a hot goalie...anything can happen ( see Bruins / Montreal in the Ken Dryden era ). There is certainly value in those bets. I just don't see the Crapbags with enough depth to get past the Rags.
Good luck

HAMMER BOSTON BRUINS 100th Season Stanley Cup Champions very soon! SERIES PRICE & GAME 1 Very Large!!
in Website Promotions I have a future from earlier in the season for the Bruins to win the East. They have the better goaltending and defense by far but you have to be very weary of a LAFFS team that is improving the past few years and can score in droves. I think the oddsmakers have it right with this series being priced very close. It behooves me why the Laffs will not concentrate on goaltending and defense more...they would be a legit cup contender IMO.

This team waaaaay overachieved with an abysmal lineup and shotty goaltending after Hart was submarined. Tortz squeezed them like a lemon and got everything possible out of them. They almost made the playoffs. They were supposed to be around mid-70s over/under points if I remember. Tortz has a short shelf life because of his intensity and making players totally accountable. But...he was way closer to coach of the year than a coach worthy of firing IMO.

That would be insane. Isles are 5 points behind Flygirls but have 2 games in hand. If they win their 2 games in hand...that would put them a point behind. Why would they pull the goalie in regulation in a tie game and risk getting zero points which would put the Flygirls out of reach with the game in hand??? Makes no sense whatsoever IMO. What is your logic especially when isles have 9 games left including tonight?? |

Too many games left to worry about that. Maybe if it was the last game of the season they would play a light lineup and sit some folks but not this early. They need to get their game in order with their new pieces. At least that is my take old friend.

This is really a crazy post. You know that it is allowed so you need to adjust your bets accordingly. I used to play a lot of unders but only do it in selective situations now because of the risk of goalie pulls with 2 goal leads. These things should be expected and happen readily now. Would you be OK with them putting the puck board in when they pull the goalie to make it harder

But really...what is most wrong with the NHL...Gary Bettman.

The NHL is a large money making organization. Like most large...money making corporations they are horrified of bad press. So...they bend over backwards to try and accommodate any and all views no matter how trivial. This is a microcosm of what is going on in society. If you have a tiny minority of the population demanding something...trans being one that just popped into my mind...instead of just saying we are in the business of hockey and hockey is for everyone...the NHL bows to a tiny social media campaign to have nights of inclusion...media press releases etc. because they are horrified of these small fringe groups going to media who will amplify their hysterical claims of injustice...whatever it may be that particular day or week. We have arrived here because people are too afraid to speak the truth. They would rather stay quiet and avoid negative press. This further enables the fringe group to increase their demands and it becomes a never ending cycle. I don't think most players believe much of what the NHL tries to push down their throats but who would be willing to stand up to it and lose a career worth millions of dollars. I mean we remember when the media tried to skewer some of the Russians who didn't want to participate in LGBTQ nights because of religious beliefs. I mean...when you begin to try to tell someone what their belief system must be...you have become an Orwellian society.

I read that London police had dropped all charges and Hockey Canada gave the victim 3.5 million in a settlement. I guess with inflation that won't cut the mustard?
I think judgement needs to be reserved here. I remember the case of many members of Duke Lacrosse team being accused of sexual assault and after their reputations and careers were ruined it turned out the whole story was made up.
