Wow, looks like you've been cleaning up with your system Cisco. I've been following both sides of the plus money system jvo4o was posting. The RL favs have been getting crushed the last 10 days or so. This is good news for your system. I'm going to revert back to what I understand was the system's beginning, which was only the dog side. This should hopefully allow me to follow your's too now. Playing for plus money is nice, but there's no questioning the results you're getting.
Thanks for being so generous with your time and expertise. The spreadsheet you've constructed is dynamite. |

For what it's worth, you can't be too short sighted when running any system. It's all about staying the course and allowing probability to do it's thing. This is much easier said than done, however, which is why the books don't worry too much about even the most successful systems. They know that most people aren't going to stick it out for one reason or another. I started using this system on 4/13, and I'm still up 16 units (no bet size change for me yet) despite the recent rough patch. Not too many straight cappers are going to be up this much this early in the season. This kind of system can hit the skids for as long as 2 weeks at during any given season, but if you can handle the downs, the ups will be very rewarding, I think.

Looks like this thread isn't as active (JV busy?), but for anyone who wants to know, I started using this system on 4/13. I'm up 12.5 units in a week. It takes a little tending to, but Mike has been most gracious with his willingness to help.
There's not much handicapping involved, just keeping track of everything, but it's been a gold mine so far. Thanks to JV and Mike! |

Profitable day. Nice to see that Minn D bet pay off.

I had a no play on Boston today because we already won a -1.5 game with them in this series with TB.
Also wondering why Philly isn't -1.5 vs. SF today. We're also on a D bet with Minn +170 vs NYY today (now that the lines are out), correct? |

Also, why is Mil a dog play when they opened at +130? Isn't the threshold +135 as an opening line at Bookmaker?

I noticed JV didn't have the following plays up and just curious why:
LAA +155 vs NYY Det -1.5 +150 vs CHW |

Hi Mike, I'm sure you have to constantly deal with getting new people up to speed, but I'm looking hard at this system trying to figure out the angles. Progressive betting has been growing on me, as it seems like it can be a very powerful tool when used with the right filter (I'm just about finished up with a NBA 2Q chase system I came up with and am posting across the street that has gone 64-0 this year).
Any chance to get something of a historical breakdown on the two system's performances? If I play both sides, it basically means I have to drop everything else I'm doing with MLB to avoid conflicts, so I'd like to have a solid idea of what the risk reward is. Cisco and TerribleCapper (now across the street again) both have some well constructed systems, but the sheer volume of your system means possibly a higher end return, as long as the number of system losses is contained (15% of BR). I'll shoot you a friend request if you'd prefer to answer that way. |

Thanks for your work JV. I wouldn't worry too much about any online books getting too wound up about this or any other system. There's a fairly small number of players who actually stick to a system consistently. Lots of cold feet at the end of chases, plus I don't think the chase model in general appeals very much to most gamblers.
That said, I love the spreadsheet. It really makes things clear. Great help from Cisco there, and thanks to Mike for coming in and showing you the finer points. |

A 4 game lost chase would lose about as much as most 3 game 1Q ML lost chases, the distribution would just be a little different. The system is 62-0 this year for SAS, CHI, OKC, and MIA (they qualify because they are so good at home and one of the big 3 is always on the floor in the 2Q). ADG mentioned something about it earlier in the thread; I'd be interested to see how he has broken it down. |

Sorry for botching the "quote" area above. For anyone wanting to do the ATS chase, I think a 4 game chase makes sense. Less juice and harder to win than the ML chase. Then a system loss is basically the same either way and the extra game gives the ATS system a fair shot.

Hey Cisco, TerribleCapper had been running this system across the street until 3/26 or so. I found it 3/6, but kept it up after he quit. Big mistake. The 3 system losses since then (Dallas 3/27-4/4, Miami 4/4-4/8, Chicago 4/2-4/10). Bad bad bad...I gave back all my units plus a lot more. Do you think it's a good idea to cut most systems a few weeks before the season finishes up?
Trying to get it down for next year. Does your system only play the teams listed on the spreadsheet (basically solid playoff teams)? You mentioned several times that you chase any home fav. TC had a system loss with Portland, for example, but you don't have it, so you must not chase every possibility. Someone mentioned a 2Q chase for good bench teams earlier on this thread. I'm actually running that system as a 4 game ATS chase at the Rx. I back tracked MIA, CHI, OKC, and SAS, and they were 45-0 up to 3/12. I've played that system since 3/13 and it's 17-0 (hence 62-0 overall). Just FYI. -AuggieXC "the egg" on Twitter Quote Originally Posted by cisco:

Hi cisco, looks like you've developed a really nice system here. Progressive betting with the right filter is really growing on me.
Was last year the first year you used this system? |
