Yeah, it doesn't make sense even from a terrorism fighting level.
We've been told that the fear has been foreign terrorists receiving funding from outside the US to perform evil deeds possibly within our country. Apparently the new fear must be terrorists receiving funding from American sources and using that to perform evil deeds outside the USA. So why am I getting groped at the airport again?

This is not the place, but I thought I would tell you guys my dead-simple way to have a college football playoff system and still please everybody.
This year (and every year) there are 35 bowl games stretched out over four weeks, so we have plenty of time. Start with the top 16 teams - nobody can seriously complain if they are not ranked in the top 16, right? OK, the first weekend of Bowl season - the week before Christmas, from Friday to Monday - there are eight bowl games. 16 vs. 1, etc. Yes, right now there are not eight games scheduled that weekend, but how do you think the Independence Bowl would answer if asked to choose between a Dec 26th game between NC and Missouri, or a Dec 18th game with National Title implications? If they don't want to move, then somebody else would. Next weekend... same thing. the remaining eight are narrowed to four. Next weekend... same thing. The second weekend of January you can have the consolation prize on Saturday night (if they still want to play), and the Championship on Monday. Presto. Solved: - We have an undisputed Champion. - Nobody ranked #17 can seriously complain if they are not in the playoff. Maybe they shouldn't have lost those 2 games. - We turned 15 or 16 bowl games that were previously meaningless with minimal TV ratings into interesting games. - There are still 20 bowl games left, so Notre Dame will still find a game and there are plenty of choices for a Wednesday night game. - 6-6 teams might not get rewarded with a bowl game. About the only downside I can find is the colleges might complain about the travel and planning. Boo-hoo. The pros do it every year. There's lots of room for tweaks (maybe the top few teams get byes into the second round?), but I think the basic gist works. Thoughts? |

Does the VIN on the car match your paperwork?
If not, then you might want to get a friend to steal that car from you. They get a brand new car with an untracked VIN, so they can sell it for top dollar. You get a new car from the insurance company. |

Wow. I did miss a lot.
Personally I believe Tebow is the Antichrist... He looks like Jesus, walks like Jesus, talks like Jesus, but ultimately those who believe in him will be denied the ultimate salvation that can only be achieved with an actual passing game.

Hey guys, I've been away for a while. The last time I checked into this thread, it had like 20 posts.
Can somebody sum up the arguments nicely for me so I don't have to do all that reading? Thanks. |

Yes, it's rape.
And yes, she's old and not that good looking - although I suspect she would look a lot better if she tarted herself up a bit because nobody looks good in a booking photo. However... I'm not sure who said it before, but the only longterm problem this kid is going to have is possibly rotator-cuff surgery from receiving so many high-fives. |

I have iTunes. Who doesn't?
I've never don't that before tho. That's a subscription, right? I always thought you had to pay for those, but I guess not... loooking at it now. I'll think about it. The audio thing is a good idea tho. Maybe if I could set it to automatically turn on at the right time, it would work awesome. Can I do that?

shit braskyman, don't tell me that. I loaded up on them!
seriously tho. i already like most of today's calls so it was an easy sell. VSD: To answer your question, i'm an old fashioned guy and I just never think of using my computer for video. I forget the show is on and just go about my business. Plus I listen to tunes so it interrupts my day to actually watch something. Hey man, notice how I'm not giving away the spoilers?

OK, since I started a thread about your show about an hour ago and nobody answered, I'll chirp in.
first. I'm not much of an online video guy. so I'm a tough crowd. I watched the show about a week or so ago and didn't get back to it again until today because i never really thought about and didn't see the banners Covers was showing today. Much better. Teddy is looking a lot smoother than my first watch. I think you guys must definitely be doing a lot of research because you pull out stats and trends a that I have no idea about and I like to think I'm pretty informed. Anyway I'll reserve my opinoon until I know if your picks at the end gave me any winners Seriously. I will watch again, but i probably won't be a regular because i just don;t watch a lot of web video. but if you want opinons you should probably point people to the show |

Watched the Covers podcast today for the second time.
I thought I had a good handle on the Bama/LSU game, but they broke it down in a couple of ways I wasn't expecting. I'm a fan right now, but if their money time picks go sour, I'll change my mind.

A girl who I loved but never bedded wants to have a one night stand with me. Im married dont know wh
in General Discussion You've got a choice to make, and it doesn't have a thing to do with your wife. You can either do this chick and find out that it really wasn't worth the wait - nobody really is - or you can keep the dream. Believe it or not, I had a similar situation once last winter. Also a lesbian, she said she hadn't done it with a guy in ten years but missed the whole dick thing and wanted to do it with a guy, and wanted it to be me. She even chose a specific date when her partner was going to be out of town. I thought maybe there was some sort of revenge-sex thing going with her partner but I didn't really care either way. So we go out for drinks one night and, cutting to the action sequence, we come to the uncomfortable point where I usually say something like, "Shit. I don't have a condom, but don't worry, baby. I'm clean." She says something like, "Oh I definitely don't want a condom. That's the point." Then it hits me. I'm just a sperm donor for her. she wants to get pregnant. That's why she chose a specific date, right in the middle of her cycle. She doesn't miss the dick, she just wants my jizz. At this point I'm using the line from the Big Lebowski... "Whoa. Let me tell you something about the Dude." She says no worries. She and her partner have been wanting kids for years and have no plans on hitting me up for cash. She just likes my genes. At this point I'm really at the point of no return anyway, so I said something like, "Well, if you are gonna use me, than I get to use you a bit too, OK? Anything goes?" So I put her in every position I could think of and jammed it in just about every place it could fit, which was funny because she kept saying shit like "You better not finish right now." So, while it was still fun, it wasn't the dream date I was hoping for. Bonus: She never got pregnant. I was hoping for a sequel, but she never came back for more after the workout I gave her. Ragingstorm: If you want to find out what her motives are, try telling her that you are up for it and not to worry about anything because you had a vasectomy. If that changes her mind, then you know what she really wants. |

OK, I'm three shows in.
So far, I'm pleasantly surprised. I was worried it would be Rocketboom, with two guys in front of a wall. Performances... The first show was a bit rough at the start, Sevansky was a bit blustery, but it was the first show. Really picked up nicely in the second half. Malinsky is a bit of a dweeb, but you can tell he actually does know his stuff. Yesterday's show was much better. Very smooth. Today was a bit of a regression. The show itself was fine, but I found the hosts a bit uncomfortable again. The guys play off each other well, but M's soft-spoken voice is hard to manage next to S's bluster. Volume issues. Technical i'm not sure how much this show costs, but it does stream well on my computer. The graphics are pretty minimial and not impressive. It could use some action video. The set is actually not bad, but the TV screens in the background are kind of cheesy when they take up half the screen and contain nothing. Occasionally the synching is off between lips and video. Content Better than I thought. while I'm not really sure it helps me all that much with my capping, it's definitely more interesting than anything else on TV at this time, so I have found myself playing it in the background while I do other shit. Ha. It's still runnning right now. Not sure about the picks of course, but I like the segment where they look back at things you should have noticed. Honestly, I didn't notice, so that's cool for me. But it should apply to a game that I'm actually interested in, so they are only 1 for 3 so far. Overall: 3 out of 4 stars. As the guys get more comfortable, this could be a worthwhile show. Right now it's "meh", but as I said, it's still the only thing worth watching at 2 pm. Has anybody else watched it? |
