What is Prop Betting

Proposition bets, better known as props, are alternative wagers to the side and total for a game. These types of wagering options can include specific team or player performance or be structured around certain happenings or events during the duration of a game. You can bet on Over/Under, Yes/No, or matchup props, which pit teams and players against each other in specific categories.

Prop Example

Team A is playing Team B in football. Sportsbooks are offering prop betting on markets on “Total number of points in the first quarter” Over 6.5 (-130)/Under 6.5 (EVEN), “Most passing yards” Team A quarterback (-115) vs. Team B quarterback (-115), and “Will there be a touchdown in the last 2 minutes of the game?” Yes (+110)/No (-140).
