MGM GrandUnlike many of the books on the Vegas strip, the large race and sportsbook at the MGM Grand blends into the casino. The open concept design has a clean feel to it and provides a welcome environment for rookies to sports betting. The staff makes new bettors feel at ease and they welcome any questions from guests.
The MGM Grand book provides daily lines and totals, sports futures and some proposition wagers if there is a major event going on. They cover the big four North American sports and the lines are usually posted early. There are some seasonal contests but day-to-day action is the bigger focus of the book.
Forty-seven big screens and 49 individual personal screens provide ample opportunity to keep up-to-date with your action. Six electronic scroll screens also help to keep you in the loops for scores and info. The race and sportsbook were merged in 2006, the entire area now encompasses 5,300-square-feet.
Don’t miss the MGM Grand if you want the red-carpet treatment, you can book one of the luxury skyboxes that overlook the book on the second floor, one of their many unique features. Cocktail service is available at the book, and for those hungry enough, the Stage Deli Restaurant is adjacent to the book.
