I'm on them, last 3 have been settled by 4, 3, and 7 points. Purdue returns more players this year than Illinois and wants some payback for last season's defeat at home. I like their chances.

I think he is seeing 11 Alabama players on steroids when he looks across that line.

You might check your QB rotation for Cleveland. Thigpen doesn't play for Cleveland, Rex Grossman was picked up..

Shaw was the only QB that looked poised out there. They better give him a serious look next week. I think the pressure is going to get to Manzeil. He is unable to fill the bill right now. With everyone expecting to see the savior of the Cleveland Browns and telling him he is it and not being able to do it will wear on his confidence. You can see he takes it personally and I would say his psyche is fairly fragile at this point. I bet that coach chews his a$$ for the bird in front of the Washington bench. |

That's probably why Philly didn't score against New England with 4 tries inside the five late in the game which would have tied it up. Those players will avoid overtime like the plague in preseason.

Watching that game, you could almost feel the nervousness of Manzeil behind center. He is way to green to put out there during the regular season. He looked confused on the play calling and better start recognizing the blitz. I felt Washington gave him some easy looks and he didn't recognize them. As for RGIII, how can he not learn to slide? They bounced him around like a ping pong ball on that sideline. I'll give Manzeil a break, he should have stayed in school another year, but now he is with the big boys. It will take some time for him to mature. Flipping off the Washington sideline won't make his road any easier. And Hey, what about Conner Shaw, he looked better than Manzeil or Hoyer, but it was against the 3rd team. They should give that kid a shot! |

I guess they had to make it exciting for the fans, that score was not indicative of how dominated the Cowboys were. You can bet I'll be tracking these flags on every team. If I'm going to get burned by the refs, I want to see it coming. |

I got on the Ravens yesterday at -1. This should be an over too. This could be the weakest defense the Ravens face.

This is something you definitely want to consider this season. Tonight's game between Arizona and Minnesota should be interesting as both defenses had 13 calls against them last week. Philadelphia had 14 last week and 11 last night. There wasn't too much improvement. Both of their games were on the road, so the comparison is valid. They actually improved 22% Here are the week one defensive penalties for the games today. Baltimore 9 Dallas 4 NY Jets 5 Cincinnati 8 St. Louis 10 Green Bay 4 NY Giants 7 Indianapolis 9 Buffalo 6.5 (2 games) Pittsburgh 10 Atlanta 10 Houston 10 Arizona 13 Minnesota 13 I'm not betting on this stat alone, but just feeling it out as we may get over/under situations, or a high percentage of winners. The rule is too new to base anything on numbers, but this stat could be as critical as turnovers are down the road. A good secondary can be worthless if they are constantly getting flagged. I think changes in defensive backfields will be a major consideration when handicapping a game this season. Back to the Arizona game. On paper this game looks like an under, but as penalized as both defenses were last week, a lot of drives could be kept alive tonight sending this total over. |

I thought Philly would improve on those defensive holding calls. They had 14 the week before and it seemed like every third down for New England was a defensive holding call against the Eagle defense. There were 53 defensive holding calls through the first 17 games. I don't like this new rule at all. The officials have too much control to keep a drive alive at critical times. You can get a first down on 3rd and 15 with a defensive holding call. The ball only moves up 5 yards, but the set of new downs has to be demoralizing to any defense.

Yep, Gunshard, when you keep your bets consistent it's just as hard for a book to break you as it is them.

I second that. Just send the receivers out, it doesn't matter if the ball is catchable, defensive holding!

I've dealt with a couple. Bovada and GT Bets. The problem with GT Bets is when you collect, it cost anywhere from 50.00 to 80.00 to pull some money. I wasn't with Bovada very long as I was using it for mostly horse racing. I had to copy my license and give them some bank info. I didn't have any problems, just didn't like the 80.00 transfer fee to get a grand. I'm not sure why you would be cancelled. If you want one, I would open a separate bank account and use it for your deposits. When you withdraw, they will send it back to you Western Union and they will cash it. |

I played the Eagles tonight. I liked it better before Maclin stretched his hammy. We were only going to see him for maybe a quarter anyway so I let it ride. I had to take+3-125 earlier which I didn't like, but I didn't want 2.5 either.

As a retired race and sports book writer from Las Vegas, everyone has a different strategy. and guess what, not everyone has a 100 unit bankroll! Some have a 1000 unit bankroll and others no bankroll at all. Did you know that Calvin Johnson may not even play tonight for Detroit. I would think you would want all your ducks in a row to maximize the chance of the game going over. On the bright side, I heard that Oakland's offense looked good this week, but they were practicing against the Dallas defense so take that for what it's worth. In my opinion you think this may be a system play, but as far as strong, you have failed to show the intangibles that make it so. I don't bet: he said, she said, and it's preseason so your unit play should be half of what you would normally play. As far as I'm concerned there are no strong plays in the preseason. Your working on information, depth, QB rotation and preseason coaching records to come up with a hypothesis. Who is playing and for how long is up to the coach. You can't gauge what rookie players are going to do in the 4th quarter. so system that. |

I didn't play it. Seahawks just too tough at home. That 6 points is screaming take me! take me! Carroll is competitive in preseason. No disrespect to the Chargers, but they played no defense Dallas. They might find it a little tougher on the road at Seattle. The line is too high for me to side with the home team, but I also feel Seattle could cover if they choose to.

Capper U., 20 units might be 1 or 1.5 percent of his bank roll, it just depends on what your unit is. 20 units of 2000 units is 1 %. You should have a bankroll to start the season, but if the play is that solid 98%, then why wouldn't you put what ever your regular betting percentage is on it.?

I drop in now and then, but a few things really irritate me on here. Some of these guys act like it's the last week of football and parlay everything. If you want to make some money in preseason just take your best bet and play it straight. You don't have to bet every game on the board. I like action just as much as the next guy, but to parlay anything in preseason is just stacking the odds against you. Another thing, don't put up tonight's quarterback rotations and then ask with a question, does anybody have the quarterback rotations? Your on a computer, look them up. Sharps love guys like you because more than likely you will be on the wrong side pumping their line up. For your information, Philadelphia at New England :Sanchez looked pretty good last week and he will be backing up Foles. Barkley is the weak link, but with a year under his belt, he should out perform New England's Garoppolo. The key here is Mallet who has a sore knee and may be held out, so you can guarantee that Brady will play. How long? Maybe a half. What is obvious is that Garoppolo will be the one playing in the 2nd half. |

one word: Omahahaha, I don't think the Broncos will do it this year. If they do get there, that schedule will have taken a lot from them. I want better odds if I'm laying my money down for 6 months. There are more enticing plays out there.
