TB +5.5
The week #5 results should be interesting, especially the Bucs covering +5.5, I personally bet the OVER 55 (for what it's worth) both teams have defenses that literally 'stink'

appreciate you putin' this play out their, and your use of ff stats, to accommodate the handicap, giving the forum an opportunity to consider Tampa Bay +5.5 @-110   why not, it has solid overtones. and it's rated to WIN.

take care

Do you know what line would imply an 80% chance win?

Answer....-400

F*ck, looks like we got an easy winner with the Jets, and cheap as hell too
Exactly

I don't smoke; you're correct, I mislead my wording, I meant to say they are averaging for the season 76 YPG, my error, appreciate you bringing it to the attention of the thread, btw after I posted, and re-read the commentary, I felt that the stat was out of sinc, especially the 18 ypg...

And you thinking the Jets win 80% of the time in this situation is just a joke.  I posted plenty of stats, including DVOA of the teams competition this season.  Spots are one of the most important measures of capping in the NFL.  If you think this is a good spot for the Jets, you are only fooling yourself.  Browns or nothing this week.
Yah, I'm trolling () , and Garrett, Sheldon, are Pro Bowlers, (never in your lifetime) who are going to change the entire Browns defense around with their presence in the line up, neither is a bonified starter, and you know it, stop talking sh!t, you're starting to sound like someone who has a serious 'diarrhea' of the mouth problem...enjoy the game, and enjoy the Browns LOSS...and believe me, I'm going to rub your loss deep into the confines of your so called 'expert' NFL handicapping mind. to each his own, and yes, I'm in total agreement in regards to spot plays, also referred to as 'situational handicapping'   try it, I'm sure that you'll like it...

BallingLikeNE,

You have a common denominator among your peers and colleagues who post in the Covers NFL forum.. Disagree, fade, or be on the opposite side of anything; and you're an 'idiot' win or lose, you're still an idiot...grow up, and shove your UNLV "honoring the dead angle" deep up in your azz...go find someone who'll agree with you, there's no debate, or argument here...

Solid plays this week, I coincide with both, also like the Eagles on the ML...just now bet the NYJ pk -110   YES, the Browns go 0-5 this week, there is no such thing connected to the NFL handicapping format that justifies a team that is "due" for a WIN after 4 consecutive losses, (ask the Lions who went 0-16, and were pounded into submission the last 4 games of the season, while everyone believed they were simply due for a win)

Nice MNF results 2-0

have a prosperous Sunday

As bad as Chicago fans can be, I sense excitement and a healthy anxiety in the air with this kid. As for coaching, Fox's job is on the line and even though I feel he's gone, it's a shot in the arm to his tenure as coach THIS YEAR. Also, even though I feel Ryan Pace is not the right GM and screwed up royally with this team, this move directly affects his job. He's got one more year and if trubisky pans out, he's safe. As for trubisky, this kid is mobile. He can extend plays and from what I've seen and yes it was only the preseason, he progresses through his reads pretty well. Obviously that will be a lot tougher with a good defense coming at him but I think with no tape on him, he could be sneaky good Monday nite. You know the Vikings will key in on the run so I'm expecting the bears and loggins to open it up. Home crowd, nothing to lose and all to gain. My only worry is that loggins isn't able to mold the playbook to cater to trubisky. I don't like loggins and I worry that with him most likely out next year, trubisky will have to learn multiple play books immediately. Keeping it simple is key.

Word is that the PLAYERS are the ones who asked for this change. If that is indeed accurate I love it! Smart move on their part in that I feel the players had no trust in Glennon. The Bears are close in that the defense has played well, the running game is above average and special teams has been better than previous recent years. We just need some receivers. Well....maybe we'll see some rise to the top with trubisky able to extend plays. I'm not expecting a ton from this kid Monday but if he can be turnover free, ya never know. Bears fan want nothing more than to have a franchise qb and I feel this is a win-win. You play him now, see what you got and if he pans out, great! IF any questions or concerns arise with the body of work he completes in 12 games, you got some very good qbs coming out next year. As crazy as people think I am, bears can't afford to sit around so the hope is that trubisky is the real deal, if not, we pull a Browns and draft another one next year. At this point, nothing should be off the table.
I can assure you of one thing, this kid is the real deal, we'll know Sunday...excellent read, take care, and take the Bears +3 (the game is back on the SuperBook LV board)

In all due respect Papa, "I couldn't disagree with you any more... your not handicapping anything, not one stat to back up your 'opinion' and that's all I see here in this entire thread is opinionated projections, non-attached to any stats of value, or any handicapping form being initiated...
"you really can't take the Jets WINS seriously" really? why not?
"they caught the Dolphins in a 'spot'
"the Jets were 'gifted' and caught the Jaguars in a spot" another WIN (but don't take them seriously, they've now WON 2 in a row)
"the Browns 'almost' beat the Steelers in week #1" (almost only counts in horseshoes) basing anything on an almost WIN is outright ludicrous..when it comes to cappin' sports...
Danny Shelton & Myles Garrett, "will make a huge difference"  really? (both are second string fillings)
"the Jets are trash, fools gold" bottom line, they're 2-2 this does not justify 'trash' (just another opinion) the Jets have covered in 3 out of 4.  a far cry from 'fools gold' (another opinion)
The best for last; "The Browns get their first WIN on Sunday, and I think the do it pretty easily" Browns WIN 24-10  Okay Papa, if you say so...to each his own.

On the other side of the coin:

I would seriously recommend to just leave this game alone, their are numerous games available that have exceedingly more value, why waste your money on this PK matchup, However, if you must, and you're on the Jets PK -110 you have a (80%) WINNER, it's going to be ugly, but the NYJ prevail, leaving Cleveland with a 3-2 record...

Of notation, the Browns are averaging 12pts per game on their home field this season...the Browns have a grand total of 76 yards rushing this season (that comes to 18 YPG) need I say more? because that's only the tip of the iceberg, nothing favors a Browns lean in this spot, nor a WIN, 'nothing'   Especially using the handicap advantage of "looking to next week VS. New England" you can flush that concept down the toilet, that's how much it's worth in this spot...you know, the more I think about this game, the closer I get to making a wager, and a call, so, one of my Sunday plays:

New York Jets PK  -110 / 2.2units vs Cleveland Browns
