Today's Featured Game (7/3/2012) 7/3/2012 6:35 PM EST (MLB) San Francisco Giants vs. Washington Nationals Tim Lincecum is showing signs that the worst stretch of his career might be over. A better performance against the NL East-leading Washington Nationals could offer further confirmation. The San Francisco Giants right-hander hasn't won back-to-back starts in two months or defeated the Nationals in four years, a pair of streaks Lincecum could end Tuesday night as he tries to shut down a red-hot lineup. The opener of this three-game set in Washington is the first matchup of the season between the current owners of the NL's two best records. They meet again Aug. 13-15 in San Francisco. The only games Lincecum won all season going into his outing Wednesday were consecutive starts April 23 and 28 versus the Mets and San Diego. He halted that drought and played a part in the Giants' run of 36 consecutive scoreless innings -- the team's longest streak since moving to San Francisco -- by pitching seven frames in a 3-0 victory over the Dodgers. The two-time NL Cy Young Award winner tied a season high with eight strikeouts, having also done so five days earlier as he gave up three runs and three hits over six innings in a 5-4 victory at Oakland. Those performances have given the West-leading Giants (45-35) optimism that Lincecum (3-8, 5.60 ERA) has put behind a career-worst, 10-game winless stretch in which he went 0-6 with a 6.23 ERA. "He carried himself with so much more confidence the last couple of outings," manager Bruce Bochy told the team's website. "The confidence factor is so important. He realized how good he is." Lincecum, though, is 0-2 with a 5.87 ERA in four games versus the Nationals since his lone victory against them June 6, 2008. His first time facing them this season doesn't appear to be coming at an ideal time considering Washington is hitting .345 with 13 homers in its last six games, averaging 8.5 runs. The Nationals (45-32) went 4-2 in that span to cap a 10-game road trip, ending it with a 3 1/2-game division lead over the second-place New York Mets. Ryan Zimmerman continued his hot hitting by going 3 for 5 with a home run and a season-high four RBIs in an 8-4 win over Atlanta on Sunday. The third baseman is batting .378 with three homers and 13 RBIs over his last eight games following a 4-for-40 slump. He's hit .346 in his last 14 matchups with San Francisco but is 1 for 7 all-time against Lincecum. "I think I'm healthier than I was before," said Zimmerman, who was hitting .218 with three homers and 22 RBIs before his hot streak. "You have a few good games in a row and your confidence gets going, and that's the name of the game. We've got to get some confidence, build momentum and just roll with it." Ian Desmond also is rolling, batting .440 in the last six games with two homers, seven doubles and seven RBIs. The Nationals hope their hot hitting carries over for Jordan Zimmermann (4-6, 2.77), who received some much-needed run support Wednesday to post his first win since May 22. The right-hander gave up one run in seven innings of an 11-5 victory at Colorado after going 0-2 with a 3.66 ERA over his previous five outings. Zimmermann got three runs or fewer from his teammates in each of those starts. He didn't need much help to beat the Giants last season, going 2-0 with a 2.08 ERA in two matchups. The right-hander gave up two runs over six innings in a 5-2 victory at Washington on May 1, 2011. The Nationals won three of four during that series after losing eight of the 10 previous matchups in the nation's capital. https://www.FrankMoneyFarmer.com/ |

Today's Featured Game (7/1/2012) 7/1/2012 8:05 PM EST (MLB) New York Mets vs. Los Angeles Dodgers An anemic offense has the Los Angeles Dodgers in a freefall. They usually don't have to muster much with the bats when ace Clayton Kershaw takes the mound. Kershaw looks to continue his dominance of the New York Mets and help the Dodgers end their longest losing streak in almost four years Sunday. Los Angeles (43-36) has dropped 11 of 12 while hitting .172 with 15 runs, scoring five during a seven-game losing streak. The team hasn't dropped eight in a row since Aug. 22-29, 2008. The Dodgers have been shut out in five of the last six games, including each of the last two. That swoon has dropped them into second in the NL West, one game back of San Francisco after leading by 7 1/2 on May 27. "I don't have a lot of answers," manager Don Mattingly said. "Some really tough days right now." Already without star center fielder Matt Kemp (hamstring), the Dodgers are also missing Andre Ethier (oblique), the team leader with 55 RBIs. Without those two in the lineup, Los Angeles has dropped the first three of this four-game set to New York (43-36) after managing three hits in Saturday's 5-0 loss. "When you're not scoring runs, it's frustrating," rookie Scott Van Slyke said. "I mean, when you look at the Mets (Saturday), they got a double, got him over and got him in in like three pitches. So when you're scoring runs, it looks easier than it actually is. "I think it's just going to take one game where everyone's swinging the bat well to just kind of relax everybody and get things going." It may not take much offensively with Kershaw (5-4, 2.74 ERA) facing the Mets. The reigning NL Cy Young Award winner is 4-0 with a 1.39 ERA in five starts against them, tossing 16 shutout innings in two home games versus New York. The last time Kershaw saw the Mets at home on July 7 came under similar circumstances. He yielded five hits with nine strikeouts in eight innings of a 6-0 victory, as the Dodgers avoided being swept in a four-game series. That performance also came opposite Dillon Gee, the Mets' scheduled starter for Sunday. Kershaw has only an 0-1 record to show for his last two starts despite limiting opponents to three runs and 11 hits with 15 strikeouts in 14 innings. He'll be facing a Mets team that has won four straight after losing four in a row. They're hitting .310 with seven home runs during the win streak, but the club's work on the mound has been far more impressive lately. New York has a 0.75 ERA in those four games, a run Gee (5-6, 4.42) hopes to continue. The right-hander, however, is 1/3 with a 4.26 ERA in his last four starts. He wasn't sharp in a 5-3 loss at Wrigley Field on Tuesday, yielding four runs and nine hits in five innings. Leading the way offensively for the Mets has been Daniel Murphy and Ike Davis. Murphy is 8 for 17 with three homers and 10 RBIs in four games, matching his RBI total from his previous 25. Davis is 6 for 17 in that stretch, connecting for two homers and driving in eight. He had a three-run homer and a double Saturday. "If we're going to succeed, that's how we're going to do it -- by somebody else coming through when we need them," manager Terry Collins said. https://www.FrankMoneyFarmer.com/ |

Biography - Who Is Frank "Money" Farmer? Hard work and a passion to be the very best. Those words best describe how Frank "Money" Farmer approaches his life as full time sports bettor. One must eat, sleep and breathe this lifestyle if they want to succeed at it and this is exactly the same approach Frank takes to his occupation. It is a minimum 12 hour a day, 7 day a week job. He works this hard so he can stay one step ahead of the competition. In fact he is usually handicapping the entire betting card a whole day in advance, looking at tomorrow's games today. Pouring over power ratings, statistics, looking at match-ups, reading and researching everything he can find on every game on the board. It's all about information and with 20+ years of winning under his belt he knows exactly what to look for and how to decipher all this information once he gathers it. Frank doesn't just make his own number on each and every game and then bets the game that he feels is the most points off. He takes things a step further and does what he feels pushes him past most in the handicapping world. By following the daily ebb and flow of every sport he handicaps, what he tries to do is get a feel for what a team will do for that particular game he is looking at. The question he is constantly asking himself is " How will this team play on this day?" He is looking for peak performances, flat efforts, etc...This is unlike most handicappers who are only concerned how good a team looks on paper based on their seasonal statistics. That method no longer works. You must do more to win these days. The key is seeing things before the others see them. It could be something as big a Monday Night Football game or a MAC conference basketball game, money is money and he is working hard to find the mistakes that are out there in the sports betting market place everyday. Frank is smart enough to know that he can't do this alone. He is in constant communication with many other full time sports bettors that he has met over the years. He has developed relationships with some of the biggest and most respected bettors in the sports betting industry. He is constantly trading opinions and sharing information with many of the best handicappers around. Frank has been in the sports advisory business for 20+ years with major success. Hard work, valuable information, and winning contacts. Frank "Money" Farmer leaves no stone unturned. What things are you doing to beat this very difficult game? 5/31/2012 (NBA) San Antonio Spurs vs. Oklahoma City Thunder - David Banx

Las Vegas Legend David Banx - https://www.davidbanx.com/
Today's Spotlight Game (5/31/2012) 5/31/2012 9:00 PM EST (NBA) San Antonio Spurs vs. Oklahoma City Thunder Gregg Popovich implored his San Antonio Spurs to get nasty to take control of the Western Conference finals. The Oklahoma City Thunder may just have to get ugly if they hope to make it a series. The Thunder have struggled to corral a San Antonio offense that is clicking on all cylinders during a 20-game winning streak, the longest any NBA team has been able to maintain into the playoffs. Oklahoma City is in an 0-2 hole as the series shifts to the Chesapeake Energy Arena for Game 3 on Thursday night. Maybe -- just maybe -- the Thunder found something that works while trying to rally from a 22-point, third-quarter deficit in Game 2. They toughened up, turned it into a more physical contest and the NBA's best free-throw shooting team had both teams marching to the foul line as the lead shrank to six. The Spurs were able to close it out for a 120-111 victory. "We're a physical team. We have to play that way," Thunder coach Scott Brooks said Wednesday. "If we play free-flowing basketball, we can beat some teams but we're not at our best if we're not being physical on the defensive end. "Even on offense, we're a physical team. We're aggressive, we set great screens, we set up our screens and we attack the basket, we have dribble penetration and we're looking for extra shooters. That's when we're at our best." So far, the Spurs have been at their best more than the Thunder, cranking it up for 39 fourth-quarter points in a come-from-behind Game 1 victory and then shooting 63 percent from the field and 64 percent from 3-point range while building their biggest lead in Game 2. That had Brooks in a rare position, questioning whether his team was playing its hardest and specifically noting that defense on 3-point attempts wasn't good enough. "We have to play with maximum effort every possession and the entire possession. If you don't do that, you give them so many open looks because they're the best passing team in the game," Brooks said. "They don't hesitate. They make the plays for each other and they make them consistently and they make them quickly and on time. With that being said, you can have great defense and they still make some tough shots." The Thunder held a team meeting to regroup and try to find a way to become the 15th team in NBA history to rally back from a 0-2 deficit in a seven-game series. "We're not down on ourselves," said guard Derek Fisher, a veteran of the Los Angeles Lakers' 2004 comeback after losing the first two games to a Spurs team also riding a double-digit win streak. "We're obviously disappointed. We don't like to lose," he said. "But we still feel good about our ability to follow our game plan, do some of the things we need to do, make some adjustments and give ourselves a chance to win Game 3." It starts with duplicating the rugged approach that disrupted the Spurs' rhythm in Game 2. It materialized after Brooks had his players foul backup center Tiago Splitter intentionally to send a poor free-throw shooter to the line. Oklahoma City didn't make up any ground while sending Splitter to the line repeatedly, but the whistles kept sounding afterward and the Thunder showed some fight. "They started to attack, attack, attack -- put your head down and try to draw fouls -- and it worked for them in that fourth quarter," Spurs guard Manu Ginobili said. "And defensively they were everywhere. I don't know if we got a little tired or we kind of stopped playing a little, but they were successful in doing what they wanted in the fourth. We just made a couple of tough shots that gave us some fresh air." Brooks also questioned how much of the comeback to claim credit for, and how much was San Antonio relaxing after building such a commanding lead. "If we don't go down 20 and we have that spurt, we're in the lead," Thunder guard James Harden said. "So, we just can't allow a lack of focus." He said there were too many "mini-spurts" where Oklahoma City's lapses let the lead keep ballooning out of control. No matter what style they try to play, the Thunder already know they can't get by with that lack of mental discipline. "You can talk about Xs and Os and adjustments and rotations and all those things but at the end of the day, sometimes you just have to want it," Fisher said. "How you define that, how you lay that out as a game plan, I don't know. But when you want it bad enough, you figure it out. "We have to want it bad enough come tomorrow night in order to figure it out." Get the pick for this game as well as all of today's picks in the Members Area |

Today's Spotlight Game (4/19/2012) 4/19/2012 7:05 PM EST (MLB) Texas Rangers vs. Detroit Tigers It's been six months, but the Detroit Tigers might still have nightmares about Nelson Cruz's performance for the Texas Rangers in last season's AL Championship Series. In an early matchup of division leaders, the Rangers and Tigers open a four-game series Thursday night with their first meeting since Cruz carried Texas to the AL pennant in October. Much of the talk heading into last season's ALCS revolved around Justin Verlander, the league Cy Young Award winner and MVP. When the series ended with the Rangers winning their second straight AL pennant in six games, Cruz had stolen the spotlight. Cruz had six home runs and 13 RBIs -- both records for a postseason series -- and not surprisingly, was named the ALCS MVP. The right fielder is off to a slow start in 2012, batting .234 with two homers, six RBIs and 17 strikeouts, but it hasn't hurt Texas (10-2) as Josh Hamilton and Michael Young are pounding the ball. Hamilton, who hit .308 with four doubles and five RBIs in last season's ALCS, is 11 for 18 (.611) with three home runs and nine RBIs in the last four games. Young is batting .520 with two homers and eight RBIs during a six-game hitting streak, and had a home run and seven RBIs against the Tigers in the postseason. He sat out Wednesday's 6-3 win over Boston -- Texas' sixth straight -- because of a stiff back, but is expected to play against Detroit. Mike Napoli hit a two-run homer and drove in four Wednesday for the Rangers, whose starting pitchers improved to 8-0 for the first time in club history. "We know we've got a team," said Napoli, who has four home runs and nine RBIs in the last three games. "We've got some good starters that can throw strikes and keep us in games." The Rangers also have a pretty good offense, one that leads the AL with 69 runs and the majors with 22 homers. In an effort to improve their lineup, the Tigers (9-3) signed Prince Fielder in the offseason. Fielder drove in two runs in Wednesday's 4-3 victory over Kansas City -- Detroit's fourth straight -- and is batting .356 with two homers and eight RBIs. In six career games against Texas, Fielder is 7 for 27 (.256), but five of those hits have left the park. Fielder isn't the only new addition from last season's postseason matchup, as neither scheduled starter Yu Darvish (1-0, 4.76 ERA) nor Adam Wilk (0-1, 3.60) were part of the ALCS, either. Darvish, the Rangers' prized offseason acquisition, has been shaky in his first two starts. His opponents' .450 on-base percentage is second-worst in the majors among pitchers with at least 11 innings. Against Minnesota on Saturday, the right-hander gave up two runs, nine hits and four walks along with a hit batter and a wild pitch in 5 2/3 innings of a 6-2 victory, though he didn't receive a decision. The Twins twice loaded the bases against Darvish with two outs, but the Japanese sensation managed to get strikeouts in each situation to escape. "That's what good pitchers do," manager Ron Washington said. "Still have to work on getting ahead of hitters quicker. But he was much better today with his command." Wilk, who made five relief appearances last season, was solid in his first start Saturday against the Chicago White Sox, but was ironically knocked out by his own teammate. The left-hander departed as a precaution after being hit in his pitching shoulder by a Fielder foul ball while sitting in the dugout in the sixth inning. He allowed two runs on solo homers and one other hit while striking out four and walking one in a 5-1 loss. "It was disappointing," Wilk said. "I'd like to keep going out there and keep the team in the game where it was, but you might as well be safe at this point. Getting hit in your throwing shoulder isn't always a good thing." Wilk threw two innings of relief against the Rangers on June 8, surrendering a homer to Adrian Beltre. Get the pick for this game as well as all of today's picks in the Members Area |
