Rays at Yankees 105 est Smyly/Pineda Both Smyly and Pineda had a rough first outing of the year and have both settled down over their next two starts. The rays have been playing unders all year long at 10-4-1 unders this year. The yankees have been on a bit of an under run as well at 6-1-2 to the under through their last 9 games. The wind is blowing in from left at 7 mph and umpire Ben May is calling the balls and strikes and he slightly favors the under through his young career with the unders being 15-12-3 through his first 30 games behind the plate. Play: Rays/Yankees Under 7.5 runs -115. 4* play. Go get it and stay sharp!

Athletics at Blue Jays 105 est
Surkamp/Hutchison Hutchison was a punching bag last year. Hitters had a whopping average of .297 against him as his era swelled to 5.57 over 150 innings pitched. This is his first start of the year and I don't expect him to do any better this year. With the kind of numbers he posted last year, i'm wondering why he's still in the big leagues. Surkamp for the Athletics has had 3 solid outings to start the year letting up just 2 runs in each. The Athletics have been hot winning 6 of their last 7 and are 7-1 on the road this year. I'll take my chances on them as a big dog this afternoon in Toronto. Play: Athletics money line +185. 3* play. Go get it and stay sharp! Yesterday: 1-3 Season: 12-10 |

Dodgers at Rockies 805 est Maeda/Chatwood The wind is forecast to be blowing out to just right of dead center at 19 mph in Colorado tonight. Let me repeat that. The wind will be blowing to center at a nice clip of 19 mph. This Maeda guy has looked damn good in his first 3 starts in the majors. Chatwood has relied on a good amount of fly ball outs his last couple of outings and got hit for 2 hr and 5 runs two outings ago against the giants. I can't help but bet the over in this game. I'm also getting down on the dodgers. If the dodgers can put 5 runs on the board we can't lose both bets. Play: Dodgers/Rockies Over 11 runs -115. 3* play. Play: Dodgers money line -124. 3* play. Go get it and stay sharp!

Marlins at Giants 905 est Fernandez/Peavy I thought that Jake Peavy was cooked 2 years ago but he somehow managed to resurrect his career in the national league. Jake is now 34 years old and it shows as he has been getting hit pretty good this year in his first 3 starts. After getting touched up for 5 runs in his first outing against the dodgers, Fernandez has had two nice outings winning 2-1 and 6-1. I think Peavy continues to get hit today and is liable to let up 2 or 3 home runs with the wind blowing out to right center at 16 mph. Fernandez and the bullpen should be able to contain the giants offense this afternoon. Play: Marlins money line -125. 4* play. Go get it and stay sharp!

Red Sox at Astros 405 est
Buchholz/Fiers Buchholz looked strong in his last outing going 6.2 innings letting up 6 hits and no runs. In his second to last outing before getting hurt last season he shut down Houston pretty good pitching a complete game and only letting up 6 hits and 1 run. Clay should have plenty of confidence today in Houston. It's just a matter of converting that confidence into a quality start. Unless Uehara is hurt, he is well rested to come out of the bullpen and Kimbrel only threw 6 pitches last night and rested the 20th and 21st. Fiers let up 3 hr his last outing and has been a little shaky at best so far this year. I feel the astros way over performed last year and everyone is giving them a little too much respect this year. I'm liking the value in taking the red sox as a dog here. Play: Red Sox money line +131. 3* play. Go get it and stay sharp! Yesterday: 0-1 Season: 11-7 |

Athletics at Blue Jays 707 est
Gray/Sanchez Aaron Sanchez has some nasty stuff and has been lights out this year. Sonny Gray has been rolling along rock solid this year as well. The blue jays offense has been struggling all year and doesn't do nearly as well against right handed pitching as it does left handed. Both of these teams have only played 4 unders each this year and I'm looking for this trend to continue. I think we are getting a very favorable number here at 8.5. Play: Athletics/Blue Jays under 8.5 runs -110. 4* play. Go get it and stay sharp! Yesterday: 1-1 Season: 11-6 |

Pirates at Padres 910 est Cole/Shields In Gerrit Cole's last outing he got pulled after getting hit in the head by a Zimmerman line drive. He may be a little bit tentative out there tonight. Shields has been decent in his first 3 outings. The padres took the first 2 of 3 from the pirates in this series and I'm looking for them to close it out tonight with their ace on an extra day of rest tonight. I don't have much faith in the pirates this year. Neither do I have much faith in the padres but I expect a strong effort from the padres with Shields on the mound. Looks like we are making it a double dog night. Play Padres money line +151. 3* play. Go get it and stay sharp!

Astros at Rangers 805 est
Keuchel/Griffin It's like the tale of two cities with Dallas Keuchel. Last year he was 15-0 with an era of 1.46 in 18 starts at home. He wasn't quite so good away going 5-8 over 15 starts with an era of 3.77. To some extent those woes on the road have continued this year. He let up 3 and 2 runs over 5.2 and 7 innings in road games this year while letting up no runs over 8 innings in his only home start so far this year. AJ Griffin is coming back from Tommy John surgery and has had two solid starts to begin the year. The rangers have started hot this year at 9-6 and have won their last 3 in a row. The astros have been struggling at 5-10 through their first 15 games. I'm going to take my first shot at a big dog this year tonight with the hot rangers at home against a cold road astros team. Play: Rangers money line +168. 3* play. Go get it and stay sharp! Yesterday: 2-0 Season: 10-5 |

Tigers/Royals 715 est
Zimmerman/Kennedy Jordan Zimmerman has been lights out of the tigers so far this year letting up no runs through 13 innings. Kennedy has been pretty much the same for the royals so far only letting up 1 run over 13 2/3 innings. I have more faith in Zimmerman than I do Kennedy for his ability to keep it going today than Kennedy. The royals have played 9-3-1 to the under this year. These two teams have played 8 overs in a row. This all comes to an end tonight. I'm also going to get behind Zimmerman as he looked great his first two starts and I expect that to continue tonight. Two plays: Play: Tigers/Royals under 7.5 runs +105. 4* play. Play: Tigers money line -102. 4* play. Go get it and stay sharp! Yesterday: 1-0 Season: 8-5 |

Angels at White Sox 810est
Shoemaker/Latos After a couple days off we are back at it today. Latos has been lights out his first two outings and after getting racked for 6 runs in his first outing Shoemaker let up just one hit over 6 innings in his last outing against Oakland. Last night the angels scored 5 runs off Rodon in the top of the first and then only managed 2 more runs the rest of the game for a 7-0 win. The white sox bats have been dead. We got the wind blowing in from left at 12 mph tonight. Everything is pointing towards an under to me. Play: Angels/White Sox under 8 runs -110. 3* play. Go get it and stay sharp! Saturday: 1-2 Season: 7-5

Added Plays: Giants at Dodgers 910est Cueto/Kazmir This is a rematch of a pitching match up from April 10th in San Francisco. Last week didn't exactly end up being the pitchers duel you might of expected with these two pitchers as it ended in a 9-6 ball game. I feel like Cueto is a hot and cold pitcher and he was cold last outing and I'm looking for the dodgers to be in Cueto's head tonight. We have the wind blowing out to right at 8 mph and hitter friendly Larry Vanover behind the plate tonight. 55.1% of games he has called since 2006 have gone over. Making 2 plays on this game tonight. Play: Giants/Dodgers over 7.5 runs even. 4* play. Play: Dodgers money line -107. 4* play. Go get it and stay sharp!

Mariners At Yankees 105est
Hernandez/Sabathia King Felix has let up a grand total of 4 hits over 13 innings pitched. He was a wild in his first outing but settled down a bit in his second. Sabathia has sobered up and should be much more effective this year than he was last year. We got the wind blowing in from left at 9mph at game time and we got a very pitcher friendly umpire in Marty Foster behind the plate. This game looks like a low scoring game to me. Play: Mariners/Yankees under 7.5 runs even. 3* play. Go get it and stay sharp! Yesterday: 0-1 Season: 6-3 |

Angels at Twins 810est
Richards/Milone The twins continue to struggle at the plate now scoring just 14 runs over their first 9 games. The angels have been playing a bunch of low scoring games as well. The wind is blowing in from right center at 15 mph at the start of the game. We're not going to over think this one and we're simply going to ride this under streak. Play: Angels/Twins under 8 runs +110. 4* play. Go get it and stay sharp! Yesterday: 1-1 Season: 6-2

Added Play:
Reds at Cubs 800est Iglesias/Hammel Raisel Iglesias has put together a couple of quality starts in his first two outings. They have touched him up a bit but he has managed to pitch his way out of trouble and has let up 3 runs over 11 2/3 innings pitched. Jason Hammel had an impressive first start letting up only 1 run over 6 innings in a hitters ballpark out in Arizona. We have the wind blowing in from right center at 8mph but the real story here is the home plate umpire Brian Onora. Over the past 3 seasons in games with Brian behind the plate are 33-48-4 to the over. That's 59.3% of the games he calls balls and strikes going under over the past 3 seasons. All signs point to a low scoring affair tonight at Wrigley. We aren't getting much of a bargain with a total of 7 but we shall fire nonetheless. Play: Reds/Cubs under 7 runs -105. 3* play Go get it and stay sharp!

White Sox at Twins 110est
Latos/Santana I'm going back to the well on this one. The twins failed to score a run again last night and they face a Mat Latos today who was rock solid in his first start allowing only one hit over 6 innings pitched. The twins got Ervin Santana going today and I look for him to build off his last quality start vs the royals. We got the wind on our side again today for this afternoon game with the wind forecast to be blowing in from right at 16mph at first pitch and increasing to 20+ during the game. Look for another low scoring affair in Minnesota this afternoon. Play: White Sox/Twins under 8.5 runs -120. 4* play. Go get it and stay sharp! Yesterday: 2-1 Season: 5-1

Added play: White Sox at Twins 810est Rodon/Hughes The twins have scored a total of 13 runs in their first 7 games. They can't seem to get anything going. The white sox offense has been kind of hit or miss this year. We got the wind blowing in tonight at target field and a pitcher friendly umpire in Andy Fletcher behind the plate tonight. All of this is enough for me to play my first under of the year. Play: White Sox/Twins under 8 runs even. 4* play. Go get it and stay sharp!

Added play:
Yankees at Blue Jays 707est Pineda/Happ If I remember correctly Pineda is a hot and cold type pitcher. When Pineda took the mound the yankees were 2-1 against the blue jays last year holding them to 6 runs in 19 1/3 innings. The blue jays don't do nearly as well against right handed pitching as they do against left handed pitching. Tanaka and the yankees pen were able to hold the blue jays to just 3 hits last night as they came from behind to win 3-2. I'm looking for the yankees to build off this momentum and will take them as a juicy little road dog here. Play: Yankees money line Pineda/action +118. 3* play. Go get it and stay sharp! |

Royals at Astros 810est Ventura/Feldman The royals seem to have picked up right where they left off last year. They are winning again and still aren't getting any respect from the gambling public. I got no faith in Feldman for the Astros. In his first start he got touched for 4 runs in 4 innings while letting up 2 home runs and 3 walks as well. It looks like he is having some problems with his control against the lowly Brewers. I like the royals with the pet detective on the mound here as a slight underdog. Play: Royals money line +103. 3* play. Go get it and stay sharp! Yesterday: 2-0 Season: 3-0

Yankees at Blue Jays 707est Tanaka/Sanchez Tanaka has won 5 of 7 starts vs the Blue Jays over his career. This blue jays lineup isn't as intimidating to him as it is to most. Bautista and Donaldson are a combined 5 for 33 against Tanaka while Goins and Tulowoski are hitless in 17 at bats. Aaron Sanchez is more comfortable in the role of reliever over his short big league career. I'm going to take my chances with Tanaka at a nice price up in Toronto. Play: Yankees money line +108. 3* play. Go get it and stay sharp!
