I don't really mind if people are on wake here, but I do have to disagree. I am a homer for FSU, so that does have some effect, but not really when my money is on the line. I tend to stay away from betting FSU because they are so damn inconsistent, but this week i'm on them for a few reasons.
1. revenge, that's not the biggest reason, but it does count for something, having been a walk on and with the team for a few years, I know how Mickey Andrews motivates and these kids WILL be reminded for the next couple days how they were embarassed last year at home by this team. Ultimately last year is last year and it doesn't mean a damn thing. but these kids will remember.
2. athletes, while the gap has shrunk a bit here, let's be completely honest, FSU still has better athletes all over the field.
3. momentum, if you look at each of these team's seasons so far you will notice that they are going in different directions. Wake had 2 tough loses to start the year and then looked pretty bad in wins over Army, and Duke, and damn near lost in giving up 36 points to Duke. they beat maryland, who has shown up this year but so so at best. FSU on the other hand is 1 half of football away from being undefeated. and while they looked rugged offensively in their first few games, they are moving the ball and have a rejuvinated Offense with Xavier Lee at QB, and he was the starter that was destroyed last year against Wake...he remembers. but FSU has quality wins at Colorado...who, by the way, beat Oklahoma there. then an impressive 2nd half and win over an Alabama team, at a neutral site, who was one OT away from being undefeated. and then a win at home against NC State which is unimpressive but the D gave up nothing in the second half and the offense continued to move the ball and improve. I think FSU is getting better and feeling more comfortable with their new system and the D is always nasty. Wake looks like they are just sleep walking after a couple tough losses.
The comment about last years loss is means absolutely nothing, and if you make plays based on last year's result's, well GL to you.
I could obiously be completely wrong, but I don't think so and I actually think FSU rolls Wake here. I see a 28-13 type game.

I would like to agree with blackjack and as a nole myself, i yearn to agree with blackjack, and I think about 75% of me actually does agree, but i am skeptical. I think next year may be the year for these guys but I think they have a chance if they don't turn the ball over.
This D is as nasty as usual, and if they can just get the hell off the field...and then be allowed to stay off, FSU will be in the hunt all year. This schedule is murderous but there is enough talent to handle the schedule, and we will see right off the bat just how they handle a hostile environment becasue Death Valley will be off the chain come Labor Day.
Clemson has some studs on O but FSU matches up on D, the question I have is FSU's O and Clemson's D. Minus Gaines Adams, and a couple others, and Add brand new zone blocking and offensive system for FSU.
And you know them boys won't be messing around with the "Chest" roaming campus with that whistle ready to hand out some up downs. I like what's going on I just hope the QB comes around and can make some plays, enough to sustain drives and win a few games, the D will win the rest.
laying a field goal on the road at Clemson is tough though, and I'm stuck on whether to play this one. I will wait and see how the rest of the GLORIOUS opening weekend for college football goes, but I'm hoping people like the home dogs and move the line or perhaps I'll just take the ML, but one way or another it will be FSU!!!
...All right Blackjack, THEY'RE BACK!!!!!!
