Think buying the points will be needed. I like Illinois tonight...this is the game for them, circling the drain NCAA wise. Major sandwich game for IU (Michigan last Saturday, at Ohio State Sunday).
Liking the Fighting Illini here. Best of luck, love your flag "loooooot train"

Trey Burke was by his standards shut down by Aaron Craft, only other guard in the Big 10 that can do that to Burke is Olidipo (IU). Minnesota's guards are good but they don't defend like Craft. If Burke can penetrate Michigan will win.

Good call on the Ohio State game yesterday. Like following your Big 10 takes. Keep up the good work.

YTD, 6-3
Pittsburgh -6 1/2, offensive rebounding and defense should do the trick for Pitt. Think they pick it up after getting manhandled by Cincinnati. Ohio State -4, Really like the Bucks here. Illinois was exposed by Purdue. Hoisting up 3s and undisciplined offense may work against weaker teams, but their style just is not going to cut it in the Big 10 and against a really good Ohio State defense. OSU uses their athleticism to pull away from the Illini in the second half.

Always like your takes Pasteur. Hope you cover everything except Michigan. I will have to look at Zona/ Colorado again, was leaning to Colorado.

I have been looking at the Penn St/ Wiscky game, don't smell a blow out (by more than 18). Penn State does a pretty good job protecting the ball and hitting the boards. Both teams similar in that they rely on a slow, plodding game, don't hoist up a bunch of threes, both hit the boards, and both protect the ball. Wisconsin just does all these things better than PSU, hence the 18 point win.
I would look at other games and stay away from PSU / Wiscky.

LOL, who really cares. The Big Ten makes the most money, and clearly has the best academic institutions (outside of the Ivy League).
The SEC schools must have good football programs because if they didn't they would have absolutely nothing to crow about. In short, academically, the SEC is inferior to all the other BCS conferences.

Total seems low, this should be a 63 possession game for each team. Ordinarily this would be a no brainer, can't quantify the loss of Hearn and Crawford. Normal total would seem to be 68.
Hope this helps, GL

Northwestern will be without Reggie Hearn (arguably their top offensive player) and Drew Crawford another key performer (he is out for the rest of the year).
Michigan's only worry spot in this game is NWs 3 point shooting. It is less worrisome with Hearn out, Trey Burke should be able to check Sobolewski.

YTD 3-2
Michigan -10 1/2, no compelling reason for NW. UCLA -7 1/2, Bruins starting to round into shape

Ok started out my posting career last night going 1 for 2.
Tonight: Like Illinois State plus 1 1/2, Purdue plus 3 (ugly game, Illinois will be forced to shoot 2s) and Ohio State minus 21. OSU now has something to play for, the Big 10, Nebraska will be lucky to score 50 points. Take care

Even though they should get outrebounded by 10, I like the Huskies. Backcourt doesn't turn it over and forces a few turnovers from the Marquette back court.
Look for a slow paced game, so I am going with the under 133 1/2 also. First time poster, hope I can help you guys out. Happy New Year

I like UConn, stats point to UConn in practically every category except rebounds. Marquette's shooting percentage is a little inflated in that they don't take many 3s (that killed Pitt yesterday) Just my take.
Like UConn and the under

Tut Whale, UConn has been getting clobbered on the boards all year, but yet they hang in there. Covered against Mich State, NC State, and should get the cover here. UConn converts 74 % of their free throws and has a statistical advantage in 3 pointers, steals, and turnovers.
I like UConn and the under 133
