Everywhere Jeff green goes people talk about his potential but he just doesn't have that next level. Season ticket holder here for Grizzlies and the team wanted to kill him because lack of intensity and no killer instinct. He then gets traded to clips who have been very disappointed with him. He can't carry a team and now that he has another chance to shine tonight he won't do it. Chris Paul is the engine for the clips and you take away him and griffen and expect green to step up it won't work.
Portland has the best player on the court tonight with Lillard and he will get this W for Portland.
Portland -3 is the play! |

Grizzlies have had at least 2 starters out each game against the mavs this year with one game 3 starters out. I do lean towards mavs but using season series has no bearing on this game. I think it will be a close game. Neither team wants the spurs but the grizz are awful tough at home winning 13 straight! |

well Lee has been horrible for about 2 months now, prince is awful, and calathus is a crap shoot every night. Spurs will kill the grizzlies in a the playoffs and i'm a HUGE grizz fan with season tickets. Spurs exploit our non scorers and have been taking away advantage down low. If Spurs/Grizz playoff series happens i'm placing a large wager on Spurs for the series even with big odds as i don't see any chance grizz win that series.

Neither team wants to play Spurs. Grizzlies have lost 14 of last 16 against them and i think Dallas has lost 9 straight to them?? I believe thats right but not 100 percent sure. Grizzlies play the thunder well. Every year the season series is close and i know westbrook didn't play in playoffs but westbrook, durant and HARDEN were playing when grizz took them to 7 games in playoffs a few years ago. NO ONE WANTS THE SPURS! Tough game to cap though as each game this year between dallas/memphis the grizzlies have been missing at least 2 starters with one game missing 3. Also Conley tweaked a hamstring last game so who knows how well he will respond. I'm leaning towards Dallas plus 3.5 |

So didnt u know the grizzlies are a terrible matchup for the heat? And always struggle with them? I might take the heat Friday but not just because it's the next game on the schedule for your lock. Heat are really struggling right now with wade out so calling grizz game a lock in a million threads kills any credibility of you having a great feel for them.

Just like I said earlier. Mem has huge scoring droughts that kill them.

Hou still might not win but here is the drought I was talking about. 6 min of game time and 4 points for grizz

Vegas has never been in tune with the grizzlies because they are a very hard team to cap. Defensive team that shows some offensive life every now and then. My bet tonight is strictly based on how important gasol is. I believe Memphis will play well for most of the game but there will be a stretch where they struggle to score and it will cost them the game.

Very true, guessing no Harden makes people scared to take Hou so that's why the low line. Its weird to say since Harden is so dominant but Gasol being out hurts the grizzlies WAY worse than Harden being out for Hou. Lin has thrived when Harden is out. Good luck either way! |

Also I realize no Harden but that doesn't matter. Houston has proved that when Harden goes down Lin steps up big. All Harden being out does it make sure the line stays nice and low

I don't post much on this site but am a huge Grizz fan and have had season tickets for years. There are a few reasons to bet the bank on the rockets tonight... 1. Grizzlies rely HEAVILY on gasol both offensively and defensively. Offensively the grizzlies have really struggled this year and constantly get stuck late in the shot clock just going pick and roll with conley/gasol and one of them makes something happen. Koufas is a good player but doesn't have the 20 ft jumper like gasol so it makes it much easier to contain conley. Grizzlies got off to a horrible start this year due to Gasol struggling, he got it going and the grizz started winning. Without Gasol the grizzlies offense will struggle even more. 2. The grizzlies have long scoring droughts EVERY GAME even with Gasol. In almost every game this year the grizzlies will throw up a couple garbage scoring quarters due to 5-6 minutes stretches where we just can't score (and this is with gasol) You can't do that against good offensive teams. Example last game against the spurs, played them tough even without gasol then the spurs went on a big run due to grizz completely getting nothing on offensive end. 3. Defensively the grizzlies will not be near the same without gasol. Lets assume Koufas will be "decent" defensively but now you bring into the rotation ed davis who has been a huge liability every time he steps on the court this year. Ownership pushed propaganda all summer saying Ed Davis was the future to replace ZBO then he was so bad after 6 or 7 games he was benched. To sum it up the grizzlies have no chance to score enough points to keep up with Houston. Houston shoots the ball way to well from three with numerous players and howard will more than likely get Koufas in foul trouble causing HUGE rotation issues. Prediction Houston 104 Grizzlies 92 and I think it could be worse than that. |
