SEC is 5-3 in bowl games. This is good, but not what we typically expect from the SEC. LSU lost to Clemson, but Clemson did over achieve for an ACC team this year, Mississippi State lost to Northwestern, and I all you FL backers who thought they were gonna blow out Louisville probably got burried when they got their arse handed to them by Louisville. This, to me is a hard game to handicap. I know that it's cliche' but dare I day the wword "destiny?" Alabama, if they have a weakness is their secondary and as far as their wideouts go, I'd say they are mediocre at best. I expect a ground and pound game on both sides of the ball here in a defensive exhibition. I think the moneyline is worth a shot here, so I am taking NotreDame moneyline on a parle' with the total. Still haven't decided over or under yet, so I am going to have to think this one out but i like getting 5 to 1 odds on what I think will be a close game.

I challenge any and everyone to the following: Beginning on the first full week of college FB season ( say 2nd week of Sept ), everyone makes 5 picks on the Covers contest. 5 picks every week until the week before the Army Navy game. That is a big enough sample size to see who knows what. I would like find out how much all you squares on Covers really know and if you can back up your big talk with picks. So far, all i see and hear is tailers and posers and squares talking big after they know the final score or a few losers getting on a short term lucky streak. If you think you can beat me in a straight up way, then bring it on. I am tired of the cheap talk BS around here. Combato domo arigato mr combato, i really enjoy fading your picks when the smug attitude breaks out. Is it really neccessary to call people squares, tailers and what nots? Lets just stick with handicapping the game and just ignore those who you feel are posers, wannabe's and what ever other names you seem to enjoy calling people. You seem to have attracted many tailers yourself.....funny thing is that they FADE your picks. |

Baltimore homer here, Ravens and Flacco play well at home. Don't agree with firing Cam this late in the season, but he had to go. Lewis is back and he rallies the team to an easy, high scoring victory........The Colts have a poor running game which favors the Ravens. IF the Ravens remember to get Ray Rice the ball, Ravens by 17.

The Pack are practically invinsible at Lambeau Field and the Vikings have not played very well on the road this year, with exception to back to back road victories to the realing Texans and the Lambs. I expect the more experienced Rogers to pick apart the Vikes secondary and lose this one by 10 or more points. I see the dome team not playing well in the cold here. Packers and the chalk. |

The Bengals have been hot as well as and playing great defense. The Texans, however, have squandered a chance for a 1st round bye as well as having their defense exposed to the Patriots in a blowout. I can see a confident Bengals team who have won 7 of the last 8 pulling off the upset here. I think this game is a toss up as to who will win. Bengals plus 4.5 in a close game. |

Norv and the Charger's regular-season record after November 1 is something like 32-12, including 21-3 in December and January! The Chargers kept this going last week with a win over thelowly Chiefs. I think the Charger's Defense trumps TB's defense and the Chargers win this one out right.

I want to say Giants but this seems like one of those games that the Giants underperform. Historically it seems that Manning does not play well against this team. I think the front 4 of the g-men give RG3 a tough time. Skins and the points.

With a banged up secondary and poor defence against the rush, Ravens give Chargers a heavy dose of Mr. Rice on the ground, opening big plays with the blazing speed of a Mr.Smith and Evans on both sides and a Mr. Boldin in the slot! Oh yeah, Mr. Lewis back, Ravens by 7 |
