Dear WNBA Fans,
If you want there to be a proper WNBA competition on the site, under the Consensus heading, please email the site now with that message. I believe they did this a few years ago, but in any case it would be great if we could persuade Covers to do one this year. |

44-dimes, I am a great fan of yours - excellent insight last season overall. However, I wondered regarding your thoughts on something that might just be of interest. One of my main WNBA theories is always respect the line move. It seems to me that, more than any other sport, the WNBA line move really means something. Thusly I wonder if your best bets perhaps do not include those that perhaps might not have been made but for a line move, and whether you have any research on this (although I certainly appreciate that these 'value' bets are often only 1 unit plays). That said, I shall be betting the Mystics tonight, probably straight-up for a big price, and I wish you luck. |

Yeah good luck 44-dimes; slow start to season is common; form will settle in then winnings will roll... |

Must say I think the Atlanta OVER is risky. The teams are only averaging about 147 recently (last three games) and scoring expectation should be generally lower in the playoffs. I think the fundamentals are wrong on this one... |

Thank you for a truly exceptional analysis. Your work was the only reason I didn't bet the Liberty, and as Mike Caro says, money saved spends as good as money earned. |

I had Tulsa +14.5, so did not get specifically screwed on this. However the same happened in the previous game at Seattle where Tulsa did not get a shot off, on what should have been essentially the final possession, with a chance to cover. The lesson is probably, as we always should have learned a long time ago, is Don't Bet Tulsa... However that 'plucky dog' plus 'as good as 5-7 ATS' type mentality has us doing it. It is too marginal though, but will we remember that next time. Sweet Jesus, I think I'm going to do it again! Will I never learn??? Tulsa are getting 12.5 points tonight at Los Angeles but LA are clearly worse than Seattle. However, the second consecutive road game factor plus other issues count against this bet. Still, at least this time I'll have the sense to roughly halve my usual bet... |

Losing teams in the NBA down 7 or more with seconds left will allow the other team to hold the ball until the end because they recognize a loss and would rather appear like they do not care that it will be a loss. I learned the hard way years ago betting an UNDER in a WNBA game where 22 points were scored in the last 40 seconds of a game where the winning team won by a 15 points. I lost the total by a hook...
Was that the one where 19 free throws were sunk in the last minute? I had the Over, I'm pleased to say. However, delayed commiserations to you |

I don't take anything for granted and i do expect to lose a few along the way. Last nights game was baffling to me. I fully expected to win it. I WAS ON MY HIGH AND BRAGGED THE CRAP OUT OF IT. NOT ONLY HERE TO THE GUYS ON COVERS BUT A LOT MY CLOSE SPORTS GAMBLING BUDDIES. That's why i need to take a couple of steps backwards and regroup. What I'm not doing is changing my style of capping. The last thing i want to do is start doubting myself.
Remember even a great bet has a 40% chance of losing. Don't sweat one result too much! |

To all those idiots whingeing about 44 Dimes POY, shut up! He (or she) has been decent enough to post winners all year free of charge and I for one am grateful. I wish you the best of luck, 44 (Pards? :-), and hope you will continue posting your picks for the rest of the season and into next. |

They've got a big number and they work hard, but Tulsa really are useless; i.e. they are dramatically less skilful than the others. For this reason they should always be treated with extreme caution. It's all very well backing poor teams with line value, but best advice is never back terrible teams - too often they'll find some way to lose! |

Hi Is there any chance of getting this changed, so people can at least post their picks? THOUSANDS of people posted last year, and thousands more appreciated the input. Please reconsider, Covers! |

The WNBA-Concensus Tab still says 'No matchup consensus data currently available from Covers Contests. I also read in another thread that there may not be any WNBA coverage this year!! Let us thusly start a campaign! Thousands posted picks last year, and I find this to be an invaluable resource. Therefore, Covers, PLEASE RESTORE THE WNBA FOR THE 2011 SEASON A.M.A. |

note that you are listed as in the United Kingdom.
As these bets are now considered contracts in law in the UK and Bodog Europe have a London address it might well be worth making a few legal threats along the lines of 'pay up or I'll sue'. I have done this several times with various bookies when I have a real marginal-or-better case and I have always got paid, even on multiple occasions when they have declared 'we consider this matter closed'! Basically they will have to pass it to their legal dept. who will generally say 'pay up'. |
