offenisive lineman Seantrel Henderson, running back Storm Johnson, linebacker Kelvin Cain, defensive lineman Dyron Dye, and defensive backs Devont'a Davis and Keion Payne. Okay, with the scandal behind us lets get to the essentials of this game. Miami new head coach Al Goldens. Overall plan is , Honor tradition. Build team unity. Play aggressively. Bottom Line Coach is a great motivator and there is just too much speed and talent on this team.
Terrapins head coach Randy Edsal , is a ole school, smash mouth , running it down your throat, control the line of scrimmage and the clock . Disciplinarian / Military approach. All of this adds up to a slow down fundamental football game with Terrapins chewing up the clock. Miami will strike fast, Punt return, Fumble recover , off the wall scores? Miami Hurricanes are Better team at the Skill Positions .
Miami Hurricanes +4 Under 46
you cant be serious with this write up.. henderson is out due to recent back surgery, Johnson and Davis are no longer with team 9 transfered out during spring) DYE is suspended due to scandal and Cain is not one of the players listed as suspended. Where did this info come from?>??? |

Offense isnt the issue for the canes, plenty of experience there, plus Morris beat MD last year down in Miami. The defense will be the issure with loss of Spence and few others alond d line. |

Duke, i have to agree with you my friend. I too have followed this Miami fiasco very closely and think people are looking to much into the loss of HArris. Both Morris and Harris were neck and neck all camp. The loss of the few offensive guys will not be an issue, because Miami runs a standard pro stye balanced O with a couple stud experienced RB and the best/biggest O line they've had in years. The defense is where I see an issue. Spence is the heart and soul of the D and not having him will hurt. Also the loss of Ojomo Vernon and Forston along the d line makes the canes very thin along the front. Armstrong isnt a huge loss because he really hasnt proven much other than a bunch of hype so far. I think the upgrade in coaching staff helps Miami in this situation. If Shannon was still at helm, this would be Maryland no brainer. But Golden and his staff seems to have these kids attention and I believe there is enough talent at the backup positions to get the W. Though MD does have a talented qb, i dont think they have enough overall talent to win even against Miami's very capable backups. Gonna take Miami on the ML +155

Um yea this makes sense. Miami went to 4 straight BCS games 2000-2004, won a NC and played for another in that time span. I wouldnt call that the 80's. Yes they are a program that has been mediocre the past 5 years, but get the right coach in there and you will see major improvements. The talent is clearly there, they just never had the leadership from the head coaching position since Butch Davis left. |

majority of fans are calling for his head. They could care less that the program is clean and he has good kids who graduate, they obviously only want wins. I can say that the embarassing blowout loss to FSU and Virginia did not help his cause. Most feel its a wait and see process. If they can win out and somehow back into ACCCG that will buy him more time but alot of "Fans" are actually rooting for team to lose as they think that'll be the last straw for him.

no disrepect but wash rolled the orange. first win was vs awful Akron and then beat up 2 DI-AA schools. So Fla doesnt look so hot this year. I think Pitt gets it going tomorrow |

yea bo dog is still off too. But according to the South Florida papers, Harris is playing, its just a bruise. Word is that Miller could be out but I dont see how that affects the line that much

Mikado, I know we debated this in a different thread, but trust me Cooper's status has no bearing on the outcome of this years game. You're right last year he played a major role in Miami's win, but the canes have plenty of talent to make up for his loss. I just dont think you should base your bet on his status, JMHO. But we all know these games go to the wire so FSU getting the 7 is def the early lean for most people who follow this series. |

If Graig Cooper is still out... Miami could have some difficulties on offense.
Nice try but Cooper's status has no bearing on the outcome of this game. He hasnt played all year and the canes havent expected him to play much even he was available. With that said, we all know how this series goes; right down to last few minutes of the game no matter who has the edge going in. Prob a game to stay away from, but if you are thinking about taking the game you would think the trend of the away team winning (last 4) and covering would hold true again

Total from 55 to 49 In Tonights Miami vs Pitt game...Someone Want to Explain?
in College Football
because people saw that 55 as pretty high for 2 very sound defenses. And Pitt being is at home looking to grind it out and keep ball away from what can be a very explosive miami O

I agree with this statement. Lewis is a great back and Graham is a nice backup but the oline for Pitt looks shaky and miami's strength this year is depth and talent on the dline. Cant see pitt sustaining long drives |

Great analysis and Im not trying to knock your pick, but y do you think this one goes over? Pitt has problems along the oline, inexperienced qb, while miami's strength is its dline. I see the only way this is close is if harris starts throwing wildly to keep Pitt in it setting up short fields. Obviously, its my own speculation but i see a 28-10 type game here in favor of the canes

Hey luck, it looks like you having this teasing game down pat. I was wondering what your thoughts are on a 13 pt with Tenn -1/2, penn st -1, texas -2 and oklahoma -1/2.. Those 4 seem very tempting. any insight would be great |

hmmm. looks like Pitt hasnt played since 9/11 either, so no short week for either team. Miami has the more talented team playing with a huge chip from osu loss. Weather shouldnt be a problem for the "trip up North." See the canes big here 28-10.
