Foo Fighters have kind of grown on me, But Dave Matthews, Tesla, and Pearl Jam never will.

Taking the placement of the ball and not the safety gives the 49ers two kneel downs to win the game. No possibility of injury and ends the game. Could not have been better explained.

The penalty that was called was legitimate. The 49ers had the option to take the penalty or decline it. It was 4th down. The referees spotted the football short of the first down marker. The 49ers were going to receive the ball at that designated spot. The Seahawks had no time outs left. The 49ers could run the clock to 00:00, ending the game. There was no need to accept the penalty. End of story.

OSU couldn't stop power running game last year (see Stanford). Wisconsin did not play creampuff last week; N Iowa is a very respected team in the FCS. They were a good test for the Badgers. O'Brien is a QB similar to the other Badger QB's who were asked to "manage" the game (I hate that!!). He performed very well and should continue to do whatever he is asked to do to make Wisconsin's season successful. This game will probably be like most Badgers' games; struggle in the first half, wear down opposition in 2nd half and hang on to win game. 8 pt spread seems about right. Wis 38 OSU 28.

If UCLA is playing the jersey and its history, they will get destroyed. If they aggressively attack a porous defense and play sound defense themselves, they have a chance to win.

Based on public perception alone, the Bears are frontrunners for the annual overhyped team award. Dallas and Philadelphia are always over-hyped at the start of the season. The Bears were in a dominant position until Cutler and Forte were injured. The Bears are the most balanced team in the division this year. The Packers will not outscore everyone again this year, the Lions have the same bad defense they had last year and an offense without a running game. If the Colts think they will win 6 games this year asking Luck to throw the ball 50 times per game, they are sorely mistaken. He will be lucky to last 10 games behind the porous offensive line he has. Not to mention their horrible defense. Bears can easily score 40 here if they need to. But they won't need more than 21. Bears 38 Colts 20.

Refs got that one right. Knee clearly on the ground with runner still in possession of the ball.

If any other college team had only 5 starters
returning from their defense, has an unproven tailback replacing a #1 draft choice on whose back the offense rode, and moves their best offensive lineman to C, they would not be touted as a National Championship contender.
Alabama's pre-season hype is solely based on their name brand and the conference they represent. Michigan will be able to score enough points to ensure this game will be competitive entering the 4th quarter. 14 points is way too many to give a team whose QB is among the top 10 in the country.

I haven't seen the movie, but have seen enough of him to know his flawed ideology.. He wasn't kidding 4 years ago when he said he wanted to fundamentally transform America. This guy believes in Big Government and an equal "outcome" society (not equal "opportunity")... Obamacare is just the first pillar of what he wants to accomplish. What are his ambitions in his second term to create a more dependent society on Big Government. If the people of this country do not realize how damaging his policies are and can be...and elect him for a second time... then we deserve what's coming . But are Romney's ideas any better? If he is elected, the rich get richer and the middle class pays the bill. Sure, there are things about Obama and his beliefs that are less than ideal, but that is factual about all politicians.

We may have to vote for the lesser of two evils here; choosing the debt-raising spending spree we are on now over the middle-class squeezing economic attitude of those whose income is in the upper 5% of Americans who want to keep what they have and mandate those who really make this country function (factory laborers, teachers, firemen ...) pay a disproportionate amount of their income because they do not qualify for the many tax breaks the wealthy take advantage of.
This is the political section of a gambling based forum. As people who enjoy gambling, we should band together to keep the powerful members of government from making all forms of gambling more difficult to access than it is already. https://www.cardplayer.com/poker-news/13970-republican-platform-supports-prohibition-of-online-gambling At least Obama is willing to let each state dictate what they will allow. It is my hope that all 50 states will progress to the attitudes embraced by Nevada, Delaware and New Jersey and allow some form of gambling on sports, and ideally, allow those who choose to play poker online to be able to without repercussion. |

The New York Yankees have been trailing at one point in a game and have won that game 28 times this year. The top 5:

When the Heat were struggling in the middle of the year, people were saying "wait until Miller gets healthy and starts contributing" Well, Miller is killing OKC.

Key point in this game. Wade on the bench with 3 fouls. OKC must take advantage of this and severely cut into this lead.

As horrific as the officiating has been, the Heat are winning because they are nailing the open jump shots they are being encouraged to shoot. And OKC isn't hitting those same shots. OKC feels they must shoot those open jump shots because if they drive the lane, they will be hammered and there will be no fouls called. Miami has the benefit that they can penetrate into the paint, be contacted, and will go to the line because the zebras will call fouls. And they hit their wide open threes. The Heat are playing like a complete team; OKC will get there eventually, just not this year.
