was there anyone else near the top 5 3 days ago and hit their own slump like I did?? I stayed in the top 5-10 for the last week and a half and have always been in the top 30 or so, the whole race. last three nights I go 1 for 4....yup, 3 for 12 all together and man am I pissed at myself...just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me...I'm just hoping I'm not the only one...

has to do with changing of the odds and/or time of day...if they were heavily favored when you went to pick, then the odds may have evened out later on, or the odds may not have been out yet. for example, I made my basketball picks late last night when they opened for new picks and had 2 nba games to choose from at that time.

an excerpt from the rules...
Once a contestant reaches 97 wins, they will be limited to a maximum of three pick selections to start the day. The number of pending picks a contestant has at any given time can never exceed the number of wins remaining for the contestant to reach 100. For Example, any participant at the 99 win level to start a new day, will have the opportunity to make one selection only. If that selection loses, they may make another selection on that day if more games are on the board once their game is graded from a pending status - to a completed status.
---
just want clarification on something...Once a contestant reaches 97 wins, they will be limited to a maximum of three pick selections to start the day. does that mean you "race" to 97, and then to 100, or should that part of the rule say ""at least 97"?? what I'm trying to say is, lets say when I have 96 wins, how many picks do I get the next day? can I pick 4 and hopefully go 4 for 4 and win it? or do I get 1 pick to hit 97 and then get 3 more the next day? or is it another pick the same day after the first one is finalized?...or if i have 94 wins, can I go 4 for 4 and get to 98 or does it stop at "97"???
I dont know if it's my problem that I am confused or if anyone else understands my question... thanks for your time, and Good Luck to everyone in the hunt!! game on!!!!!||an_burn_money.gif' border=0>||an_burn_money.gif' border=0>||an_burn_money.gif' border=0>

thats the second part of the tie breaker if the games each person picked are all the same or start at the same time

just want to be sure I understand this right...If multiple users are tied, the earliest start time of their last winning pick (game) will be used as the tie breaker (time as listed on the pending page)....lets generalize this example: contestant "A" and contestant "B" each have 96 wins and nobody else is tied with them...on the last day they both go 4/4... contestant "A" picked games that start at 1:00pm, 3:00pm, 6:00pm, and 10:00pm; and contestant "B" picked games that start at 4:00pm, 6:00pm, 7:00pm, and 8:00pm.
contestant "B" wins because their last winning pick (game) started at 8:00pm....right????
thanks guys, and good luck to everyone down the stretch ||an_cheers.gif' border=0>

anybody else notice their odds change after they already made their picks for the race? now, I could be full of myself but I was pretty sure I picked the toronto raptors tonight at +4.5 and now it is +5. I understand that odds do change but you keep the odds that were there at the time you picked the game...not sure though, just wondering if the folks at WL could check this out for me..thanks ||an_cheers.gif' border=0>||an_cheers.gif' border=0>

espnzoneboy, I guess its a cultural thing, and you're probably right. The only people that would watch hockey are Canadians||win.gif' border=0> and bettors in the US. The strike is basically forgotten in Canada and it really is better hockey now with most of the new rules

another idea...to make things interesting, and what I think will make tie-breaking WAY EASIER, is give 2 points for a correct pick, and -1 for a loss...but you can pick ONE game a night to "put up" a bonus point - i.e. pick a game of your 4, only if you want, and "wager" a bonus point on it, get it right, get 3 points for it, wrong, -2 points. winner is first person with 200 (or X amount) of points.

yeah, I agree with something like that...kind of leans toward what I mentioned a few days ago in another topic, that the picks should be available earlier anyways, cause the time stamp can determine a tie breaker, but the picks aren't available to me until 1:01AM in my time zone, which is worse than someone on the west coast who gets to pick at 9:01PM. but yeah, keep throwing ideas out cause the folks at Wagerline are all ears and really do listen and are looking for suggestions for possible races in the future.||an_cheers.gif' border=0>
