Any thoughts on chasing series and just betting the money line to get a series win. I know the consensus in the forums that chasing is a waste of money; ie: John Morrison in basketball. But is my logic really off here. The Dodgers, Angels, and Yankees didn't get sweeped at home. The Rockies, Astros,Cubs, Giants, Mariners, Marlins, Rangers, Rays, Red Sox, Reds, Tigers, and White Sox only got sweeped once at home. This based on three and four game series. I was thinking of chasing series based on pitching matchups, home field advantage, streaks (hot and cold), and so on. I follow baseball religiously mostly because of Fantasy but I know the importance of the smaller things in baseball such as set up men, and the benches of both teams. And I know the money line on some of these games could get ridiculous, like when the Yankees play the royals. Any thoughts would be welcome. |
