Great job and the Bolts were buzzing those last two minutes and could have sent that to OT.

Nice job on the ball games and late Bolts goal. Hawks had their chances in the first and Bolts made them pay in the third.

Thanks Norbert, fun to see the fans after last nights game at Portage and Main cheering for a playoff game instead of cheering to get their team back. Have two blue Jets jerseys, but making a trip to the store today for a white one, for the White Out coming to the Mts Centre. What an experience that will be.

#NHLJets Paul Maurice confirms Michael Hutchinson will start tonight

I am intrigued on the Jets/Chicago game tonight. The Jets have played them incredibly well this year and you know the Hawks must be looking for some revenge.I agree with you that everyone in their dog is on the Hawks tonight and with all of the Kane drama that has played out here locally this week, I can certainly see why the Jets would be a good fade (that and their last five games). On the flipside I believe Carcillo will back in the lineup tonight, which should pump up the MTS Centre a little more and I wouldn't be surprised if the Kane drama this week has galvanized the Jets dressing room and they come out with some fire to prove they can with without him. Should be a high energy entertaining game.

I am going the safer route and that is for the Jets to take more penalites at -145.Last ten games they are 7-1-2 in taking more penalites than their opposition and I suspect Peluso and some others will be chasing Danny boy around tonight, for his magic stick on Perrault.

I enjoy your insight 7, good luck on your picks tonight.

First goalie off for #NHLJets is Michael Hutchinson, suggesting he will get his 3rd start in a row here tonight in Calgary.

NFL Betting > If you didn't bet on sports would you actually watch sports > View Post
I took a year off betting sports, after the BCS title game last year. I watched a decent amount of NFL, but for a guy that probably would have watched 30 or 40 baseball games a year, I watched 6 innings of the World Series, that was it. The amount of free time that I had was quite staggering.

Nice hit, I thought I had a slam dunk with the Homan under last night and could not have been more wrong.

Guilty, as charged Ang.

I agree, when they are on their game I think Homan is the best team in the country, with respect to the ladies game. I usually bet against Jennifer but just have a feeling this is her week.

On the men's I am intrigued to see how Martin/Nedohin do together. Howard is the favourite, but for all of his success, he has also lost a lot of finals in his time. I also wonder at his age, if the grind of a big week such as this is a little tougher the older you get. My play on Stoughton is I could see him in the final and at +450, it allows for a good hedging opportunity. Should be a great week of curling.

Roar of the Rings Futures.

On Stoughton and McEwen for a long shot. Still searching a third one.

For the Women, I am on Jones large, followed by Lawton small and Carey as a long shot.

Only two games I like in round one are Lawton for the ladies and McEwen as an upset over Martin. Still looking at totals.

Come on LRR, may as well have a little faith, pour a tall drink and let's get the show going here.

NHL Betting > Time To Fire Disco Dan Bylsma??? > View Post

I'll chime in. I do like him, actually really like him. The only series that I have really been pissed off about was the Flyer series, as I thought he completely lost control of his team. Tampa we did well to compete with who we had and probably didn't deserve to be up 3-1, Montreal series Halak was sensational, the Philly series last year that was a debacle.

I think he has done well this year, especially with the injuries during the regular season. The whole sticking with Fleury thing, well perhaps I am a sucker as I too thought he would regain some of his magic from our Cup runs, but I think he has lost all confidence and a fresh start might be what the doctor ordered.

I was one that was excited about the deadline moves and as I spoke to many co-workers, to me getting Iginla was not so much about the Pens getting him, as the Bruins not getting him. Murray has been okay at best and Morrow has done nothing in the playoffs. I wonder in hindsight, if Ray should have not tinkered with this squad the way he did. Easy to say when times are tough.

Is part of this thread though, maybe not that the Penguins are that bad, but  not giving enough respect to the Bruins. Granted their finish to the season, was nothing to write home about but boy they have looked very solid since squeaking by the Leafs. Rask no more needs to be said there, but their D, has been tremendous in the series against the Penguins.

Make no bones about it, the Bruins are well deserved to be leading this series, but people harping on the Pens being terrible, I do not get it. Their Game 2 was a debacle, but they were just fine for two periods in game one and I thought they played very well last night. I thought their D, was great last night and I am not sure I have ever seen Engelland play a better game. There was no shortage of posts last night hit by the Pens and that is just the way the puck bounces sometimes.

In conclusion, I would keep him for one more run PB, but keep in mind I am not some hockey aficionado. I do think that Shero, is equally as guilty in not living up to expectations.

Lastly, for the fanatics coming here piping about the Bruins being the best ever, I hope you backed it up with your wallet, before these playoffs started, as then your credibility will be rewarded in your wallet, instead of your ego.

NHL Betting > Pens goalie game 3?? > View Post

I always was partial to Dennis Herron and Michel Dion, and of course Tommy B. Meloche and Wendell Young not so much All things being equal, I can live with Vokoun, if he brings his A game.

LRR, who is your fav Penguins scribe? I very much enjoy Kovacevic, he is on a real rant about Iginla playing the wrong side.

I think Bylsma, needs to get some speed in the line up tomorrow and preach discipline. I think the under is a good play tomorrow.

It's all good, we gave up 6 and 5 against the B's in the first two games in 91 and then rattled off four in a row. Don't lose hope yet Pinball.
