It truly would take one of those NFL game miracles for a McGloin QB lead Oakland Raiders to beat the Denver Broncos in Denver for last game of the year. It would take all kinds of crazy plays leading to Raiders defense scoring points while also stopping Denver from scoring. It's certainly possible, but I wouldn't bet on it.
Final Answer: DEN 16- OAK 10

The stats don't make for the game. The games are what makes the stats. Therefore, you can research the history (recent or long ago) all you want. It won't yield anyone anything more than frustration from a sense of expectation built on logical hopes. Someone's gut instinct is likely to yield a better result. That being said, neither research or gut instinct in sports betting (for fun, or for $) has gotten me anywhere other than this good 'ol Covers website post. I guess luck is luck is luck. There's really no other way to sum it up. Your either lucky good, lucky bad, or the standard 'ol mediocre somewhere in-between. Let's get back to our mediocre freebee sports picking contests. LMAO!

Publicly taking any SFO team in the media (unless you are a former SFO player/staff) over the mighty NYC would damage one's career potential. |

I'm looking forward to seeing this game in action. The weather will likely turn this into a game where the winner is the team that finds themselves on the fortunate side of wild and unexpected ball handling. So, although Eli Manning is a seasoned and steadfast quarterback in the NFL, it will most likely not make a difference in this game since it is being played in such problematic weather conditions. Therefore, the NY Giant wide receiver strength is most likely to be sacrificed in this game as well. Due to the difficult weather conditions the game will most likely become a war at the running game. This means the impact players of the game will likely be the tailbacks and/or running backs. Thus, SF 49er running back Frank Gore will have to outperform the running back duo of Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs. That is entirely possible since the SF 49er defense is #1 against the rush. For that reason, combined with playing in their home stadium, the edge goes to the SF 49ers. Fewer games are decided less than 3 points, so taking the SF 49ers and laying 2.5 should be the smart (and winning) pick. |

If I recall, there was a Grandma that won $1000 recently at 17 MLB daily pick wins. That is living proof that researching all over the place to simply make a 50/50 pick gets you no further than a gut-feeling based on a quick review of basic facts.
I am of the opinion that your gut feeling or initial thought towards picking a side is correct more than not. Save your self from all the detailed research madness. Stand up and make a pic, and then let it roll, baby roll. |
