I'm betting the over on his game tomorrow if he's officiating with all the bullshit foul calls he makes. |

Been awhile since I've made a post on Covers. I thought that Golden State/Memphis total was awfully high as well. Both teams playing on a back-to-back so legs will be tired and I expect poor shooting. Steph Curry and Golden State have also been in a shooting slump, and Monte Ellis might not be effective with his hyperextended knee. Both teams let up over 100 points last night so I expect both head coaches to stress a quality defensive effort tonight. I like the under. GL AussieCapper

BOL BP. I also played Monaco and Nalbandian. Thought the price for Monaco was way too generous and the price for Nalbandian was pretty cheap. Indoor hard is his best surface, just lay it.
I'm on Tipsarevic however for the value. Nice odds with home crowd advantage and indoor hard is his best chance to beat Berdych. |

Sometimes the oddsmakers just know nothing about tennis. I can't believe Montanes closed as the dog. That was a steal line.
Lu is a joke. Hopefully Nishi can pull out this 5th set. I agree with you, mt. I wouldn't have been surprised if Cilic blew out Nishi but this has been an awesome match so far. Bellucci can certainly beat Anderson as well.I think the oddsmakers had that line right as a pick 'em. Makes no sense why Bellucci is getting a price now but I'll let my bet ride. |

i remember that match very well. benny entered that match having just lost an atp final, which is why i played robredo as a dog in that match (thinking benny would be mentally drained). the circumstances are different here though. all previous meetings between these two have been blowouts so you never know who is going to show up in this one. hard to pick a winner.

keep your head up, mt. same exact thing happens to me: i do very well picking winners and finding value in everything except for the grand slams and get killed in the first couple rounds of the slams. and then after the first few rounds of the slams there is minimal value because they always inflate the lines. being selective is so important for the first couple rounds; if you play everything you like (which i did this week), you're going to killed. let's get through the rest of this week on a good note and go from there. indoor season and davis cup after the us open can be very profitable.

I love the odds here for Montanes. It took him 2 sets to adjust to this surface since he hasn't played on it in quite some time, but he finally found his game in the last 3 sets and benefits from a great draw. Is it just me or does it always seem like Montanes benefits from easy first two round opponents at the Aussie Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open (his worst surfaces)? Nonetheless, I really like his chances tomorrow against Ball. Ball serves big but has a weak groundstroke game compared to Montanes once they get into the rallies. Ball has had some bad losses with no big wins in his career and I can't see him pulling out a best of 5 match against the veteran. My other plays are Nishikori +275, Simon/Monfils parlay at 3/4, Anderson -115, and Lu (wasn't gonna play him originally but my book offered me +120 with the line change so I took the price). Hope everyone profits tomorrow! |

Anderson is in quietly good form. He's been money on hard court this year and has really found a rhythm. Bellucci is solid but his hard court results continue to be inconsistent. Also, Bellucci had 9 double faults in his match against Smyczek. I played Anderson. GL! |

I wouldn't want any part of either of those guys. That match is total guessing imo. There's no value laying juice in a pick 'em that's a complete guess. GL if you decide on one!

I don't like him and his price against Steps. It is very hard to come back mentally after having a match point against Nadal and losing. Also, he had blisters and cramps during the third set of that match. If Steps comes to play, I think he wins. He has the H2H advantage as well. I played Stepanek at +120.
My other plays for the first round that I unfortunately don't have time for write-ups for (but were well thought out and analyzed as always) are as follows: Dent -140, Malissa -140, F. Gonzalez -165, Smyczek +230, Devvarmen +180. Hope everyone profits tomorrow. BOL . |

Also, I just want to make it clear that I'm not trying to criticize you if you really like Anderson. I'm just trying to help because I followed these two guys in college. BOL with whatever you decide, GT.

Anderson is South African. RSA = Republic of South Africa.
Anderson and Devvarmen played each other twice in 2007 in college and Devvarmen won both matches, including the Men's Singles semifinal at the NCAA Championships. Anderson is not worth that price and he's Devvarmen is more fit for a best of 5 match. If it goes more than 3 sets Anderson can fatigue easily. I like Devvarmen for the price. |
