Thanks for the write-up. What's with the "this guy has lost his last 3 plays!"? I thought you were 7-0 before the hook in Chicago. I made my pick before your write-up, but I might go a little heavier with my suspicions confirmed. Another Cam-tastic game!  View
A unit is not $100. A unit is whatever your bankroll defines as a Unit.
If you only have $10, a Unit might be $1. If your bankroll is $100,000, a Unit for you might be $1000.

Why they call it "the hook." Bears score on an improbable fake punt, a deflected pass, a trick two-point conversion. I'll call it a bad beat on a good pick. Keep 'em coming. View
Everything points toward Minny, but that hook can be a killer, when they win by three. Take Minny money line. View

I'm with you all the way. Only flukey turnovers could spoil this one. View

Not sure I follow you here. When taking the dog, the points are insurance against a close loss. I sometimes take the moneyline on favorites, because I hate it when my team wins, but doesn't cover. (-3.5 is my least favorite line) Finally, when you smell an upset, the moneyline gives you great odds.

Steelers ain't what they used to be. I'm leaning Under in this one. Both teams like running and defense. View
Pick, thanks for the great write-ups, and more importantly, the winners! I love the fact that you don't just throw out a pick, you give us the analysis behind it.  I don't mean this in a negative sense, but over the years I've seen a lot of hot starts in the forums. Winning gives you a grateful audience, and people start plunging on the picks. Sooner or later, and generally sooner, the law of averages catches up with you. So my comment to the masses is "bankroll management." Do we really think it's going to be as easy as following your picks right into a prosperous and early retirement? View
JJ out, this is serious. The worst part of betting is when you see an injury, and you think "good!" Then you realize that's really sick. But I do have KC.  View
A dome is good for the over; a good defense against the run, so teams have to pass, that's good for the over; finally, and this is pure speculation, but I think nationally televised games go over. That last is not based on research, just my own instinct. So yeah, I like the over, but I also like two-team teasers. If the game ends close to the lines, you win either way. Chiefs +4, Over 40.  View

Public on Pats and Over. Wind and rain, no Gronk, short week, an away game with a non-divisional foe.
I'm taking a two-team teaser with TB +10, Under 59.5.
Last Monday night, the two-teamer won regardless of which side or total you took, and the last-second touchdown had no effect.
Good Luck to all!

Amazing how often the games are close to the lines, and a teaser would win either way! View
Same game, love the Bills -8. View
Great writeups, Scal! I look forward to your comments on Football.

This is where the fatigue factor for Lebron kicks in. GS has been great in 2H.

So how the hell would you know this?

Make that CAVS 1Q PK -105, GSW 1Q PK -115. View

Must record 10 or more in 2 of the following 5 categories: Points, Rebounds, Assists, Blocked Shots, Steals.

This one looks too easy!
Do have to bet 130 to win 100.

This could be his last game, for the remaining member of the Spurs' Trinity. Duncan (the Father), Parker (the Son), and Ginobili (the Holy Ghost), they may have passed into History. My book has 15.5 points, points, rebounds, assists. I'll take it! View
LOL, wonder what the money line was? View
