So what are you basing your pick on?????

I like to see how most of you people in here brag about how good you are doing, but when you compare what people are saying to what the final outcome of games are, you realize that most of you that are on here do not bet logically. I truly enjoy laughing at most of the post's in here, as it shows that if you are truly making a wager you do not post what you bet. Having lived in Las Vegas for 10 years now and doing my fair share of betting, I have found out that the true winners do not give out picks or brag about how good they do. So keep posting and doing whatever you do in here and I will continue to go and do what I do at the sports book.....Do I win or Do I loose.....I never tell

Lets put it this way....Georgia Tech has the nations 4th ranked offense going against VA 53rd rank defense. Georgia Tech should beat VA by 18 or more

Just thought I would throw these out and see what everybody thought of these first half bets: Eagles -4.5 -110 Ravens -3.5 -110 Colts -1 -110 Falcons -3.5 -110 Packers -4 -110 Cowboys +1.5 -110 Saints -1 -110 All will be 2 units. Any thoughts or comments greatly appreciated |

So what does Freeman play from last year have to do with this year.....You are the one taking things out of context by saying his play from last year will be the same as this year. The same way people have said do not take stock in the pre-season because you cannot take stock in that as coaches use pre-season differently. Some coaches may want to win pre-season games...but most often they use these games to evaluate players and situations to see how their teams react to them. They also want to see how the young players will react to these situations.

I am with you on the first three.....Will probably be on Texans as well but waiting a little while to see what happens, if the line moves or not. I have a three team parlay with your first three picks at those point spreads as well.

Well I would have to disagree with you on the Carolina game....I think Seattle comes in and the West to East coast on week 1 does no mean anything. I just think Seattle has to much offense for that "D" of Carolina. I like the Cincy pick....as I am from the Cincy area originally...so I agree they are probably the best team on both sides of the ball. I do not think San Diego can hang with Houston be it at home or anywhere....Philip Rivers is over rated and I just do not see them as a very good team. Other than that BOL to you....Fellow Nevadan here since 05 |

Looking at doing 3 team parlay of: Saints -3 -120 Bucs -3 -120 Lions -5 -110 $100 pays $600.00 Any comments both positive and negative will get serious consideration.

I am the same way...I live in Las Vegas and never ever go to the strip. I have a small litlle bar/casino just down the street from me, which has a sports book in it. They are now affiliated with William Hill sports book, so there payouts on some parlays have changed. This little bar has 10 TV's and on Sat and Sun the locals pick what games are on which tv, that way where we sit we can see the games we have action on. The sports book does not have the electronic boards or anything like that, they still write the odds up on a big white board, but the guys that work the book are good. They have actually made me money by telling me to change a bet from what I have to another way to play it, on parlays that is. I know that people that do not live here do not get the luxury of picking out different books to bet at, but when you live here you learn quickly where to go.

What a shame that these 2 teams are the top of the Big 10 and this game means nothing as both are on probation, and cannot play for the title. That being said, with Braxton hurting, playing in Happy Valley, I would have to lean on Penn State. I am going to the book later this morning to see what this line looks like, and will most likely play Penn State LARGE. |

Well from another person who lives in Vegas....10k on a game is still a large amount to lay. Now if this man has some inside information, then I would say he did good. The one thing that is not noted on the thread is did he make a Money Line bet, or just take the sides and lay the points. I know a lot of people that will bet 330 to make 300, and so on. Depending on the book as well, there are limits to what you can bet, and if memory serves me correctly, at the Orleans will allow you to go higher than that.

I really do not understand why people follow the public on these bets....if you break this game down the correct way, Cards are a much better team. What do the Rams have???? They have one runningback who is dinged up, and 1 receiver who is not a deep threat. This Cardinal D is going to have a field day with this Rams team. The public saw the Rams beat the Seahawks and now they think they are unstoppable at home, what a joke.

Just like everybody thought that Chicago could not put up 31 against Dallas and you know what happened there. I feel like the Cards will jump out to an early lead, and then the defense will cause the turnovers that will put more points on the board than most people think

So what makes you think that Arizona will not score on this defense of St Louis.......What do they have to stop Fitz and company from tearing them to shreds????
Everybody thinks the Rams are so good, but what have they done this season.....If you think that win over Seatle was something, it was Seatle and they looked pathetic, in a letdown game. I feel that Arizona comes in here to prove a point and they will put the pedal to the metal in this game. \ Arizona 31 Rams 14
Cards -1 and the over 38 for LARGE

And just what does this prove.....this is a totally different offense for Baltimore....if they let Flaco run the no-huddle this game will be over by half
