Had strong start and finish yesterday, but got hammered with the mid day plays. All in all, a good day. Will limit the plays today: Cleveland St +5. Evenly matched teams, both playin well. Take the points and watch a good game here. Buzzer beater type finish. PSU +12. I hate Penn St. But I do see the value here, so gotta put the hate aside and put the smart money on the lions. Wisky could be in for a let down game to a degree. I see Badgers by 7. Temple -15. Lots of points to lay with my alma mater... Been fading St Joes all year, has worked wonders. I could see owls win by 12-13, but the hawks are down this year (almost the worst NCAA hoops I witnessed this year) and why not put the foot on the throat of your rival. Dicey play here, so it will be a small wager

Other later picks: UNC -11. Gearing up for a run in march. many good programs turn it up a notch this time of the year. They got their loses in early. Providence pick. Home team with a star player and good coach. Mediorce oponent today. Syracuse -11. I think they can be a dominate team when they are clicking. Playing well enough for me to lay 11 at home. Rutgers is trash. |

Dayton 2.5. Duquesne is nice, but I live in pgh and see the duks live. They are a good team that will and can lose a road game to a solid opponent. I've witnessed much of these teams as temple grad. Dayton is the easy pick. Over 135 Pitt/St Johns. I think both teams will bet their best effort on the court today. Johnnies playing well, pitt historically plays well at the garden. ESPN game, they will be hyped in the big apple this afternoon. WVU -4. ND is over ranked, and vegas caught on with this line. I thought it would be 1 or 2 pt line. WVU is a good team with huggie behind the bench, his players give their all. WVU wins by 8 -10 at home. |

Incredibly I am against you on every pick. its been a win 1 lose 1 type of tourney for me, slightly over 50% this year.

Hit a nice 2 play parlay on this last night.
On the Over 54 tonight with most of my plays locked in for tomorrow. I will post them tomorrow morning.

The revenge factor from last year also gives me reason to back Texas. At home, the burnt orange faithful will be ready. The more I think about it, the more I like it. |

Ditch Texas Tech. The Longhorns usually beat the Red Raiders by a bunch, last year was a hiccup at Lubbuck to boot.
Hook em Horns -17. Hell I would take them at -24 at home

Going against the grain a bit here, when my gut tells me Miami -5 and Under 54. 5 of the past 7 matchups have been under 50 points, a few were under 40. I enjoy the option run at GT like most other fans, however it can be very easily contained if the Defense remains in gap assignment.
Miami must have felt confident in this bunch to have an opening schedule like they have now, talk about a tough stretch to begin a season. Harris has looked nice and the RB's offer a nice relief, while the question lays within the defensive scheme and ability to execute. I believe they can. On the 'Canes -5.
I am following the above mentioned trend on the under 54, also big games seem bring out the jitters in offense. Lots of patty cake offensive play calls at first to keep it safe until someone draws blood. Under 54.
the rare combo of the favorite and under play, what you think?
27-20 Miami over GT

Redskins +6.5 - Too many points for this matchup. The Skins are decent and the GMen had their run.
Rams +8 - The Seahawks are not worthy of laying 8. While the Rams showed promise late last year.
Cowboys - 5.5 - Losing TO will be a boast to an already talented team. The Bucs are a team in transition.
Colts -7 - Peyton looks really sharp and should have an improved running game. The Jags may win 5 games...
Bears +4.5 - Nice value here with da Bears, Cutler is legit. 3 pt game here, enough said.
Vikings -4 - We all may be on them, I would have taken without Farve too. Cleveland sucks, I would know beng from Pittsburgh.
Bears/Packers Under 47 - Two good defensive matchups in week 1. Stressing week 1. Offenses take time to jell usually, while Defs dominate early in the season.
Dolphins/Falcons Under 44 - Same reason as above and 2 running teams... tick tock tick tock...
Also some small plays on Saints -13.5 and Texans -4.

Im on Pitt -5. Got my homeboys early. They look too dominant not to take them against a team with more question marks. The punting game (non-existent last year despite the #1 Def) will only aid to a fierce defense.
And Tomlin seems to push the right buttons, while allowing his coordinators to call their games. I like a 12 win season this year, haven't sensed complacency here. Hey, the Pats backed up as defending champs, I can see it happening here in the City of Champions.... maybe not another super bowl, but a respectable season to say the least is forth coming from Pittsburgh
