Here we go... Best weekend of sports betting IMO.
Gonzaga - Arkansas Arkansas can keep this close.. I'll wait and see if it goes to +10 but if not I'll take the 9.5, Memphis was right there down the stretch despite the sensational performance from Timme.
Michigan - Villanova Give me Michigan and the 5 points.. Dickenson really rose to the occasion against a very strong Tennessee team and I'll take the team playing with House money AND the 5 points. I expect a big game from Villanova, a smart game and good shooting, I just don't see a comfortable Villanova win happening here.
Texas Tech - Duke Notre Dame had the ball and the lead with a minute and a half left.. I don't know what Tech has done to make them the favorite in this game. Duke ML for me.. top level scoring team, top level assist to turnover ratio team..
Arizona - Houston Gun to my head I'm taking Arizona but Houston will create a lot of problems.. number one in the country at holding opponents to low FG%, great chemistry, all around defense, offensive rebounding.. but in the end I still feel safer with the firepower of Mathurin and Okocholo.. despite some matchup problems against Houston I dont think Arizona will shy away in the least, they play with a lot of confidence. I'll lay the 1.5 or whatever it is.
I will be playing all 4 of these for equal amounts.. Arkansas +9.5 hopefully +10, Michigan +5, Duke ML, Arizona -1.5. Still working on my picks for Friday.. GL all

Players in Jordans day went to college for 4 years, they knew how to play the game. They weren't anything like the Darius Miles' of the world and the 1 and Dones you see today. Just because a guy can jump out of the gym doesn't make him a great player, yet in today's game it gets you drafted in the first round.
Why do you think the Europeans have had so much success? Why do you think the early 2000's Team USA teams struggled so much? It was from the transition from fundamental basketball to the current game that we see now.
haha Darius Miles. What better representative of the league today than a guy who teams didn't want as early as 2002. Lebron would probably be getting his 3rd ring if not for the fluke knee collision that took out Kyrie. Lebron can definitely still win 4 more rings. |

are you serious, there was blood all over the towels and then they tried to block the cameras... he has two bloody gashes on his head. |

drama? huh? he got fouled and lost his balance, and even if he did try to make it look like more of a foul by falling farther than he had to, so what? he hasn't been getting any calls and is frustrated... tons of players exaggerate fouls all the time, who cares? camera guy had plenty of time to move his f*cking camera. guy should be fired. He was bleeding all over the place... that's "drama"???

He would not be able to just drive and dominate at the rim now as everyone guarding him would be his size and very athletic Tonyrome the fact that you threw kobe in there completely negates everything else you said This is correct. The top-to-bottom competition in the league was weaker back then. Point guards back were not as athletic as John Wall and Russell Westbrook. MJ was 195 pounds, Lebron is what, 260? MJ couldn't do half the things Lebron does in the league today, he uses his size and elevation to score in ways that are impossible to stop, while getting fouled on the majority of his drives, often not called. MJ was impossible to stop as well and I'm not even saying Lebron is better, but I agree with the above comment that you have to factor in the talent level of the average player(s) Jordan was dominating on any given play. There were great players back then but the overall talent level has evolved in a league full of hybrid players, big men who can shoot 3's, Point Guards who dunk all over the place.. and the speed of the game is faster today. It was more physical back then. Lebron thrives in physical games. |

He was a young man when he said those things. I didn't like him as much in his early Cleveland days either, but he has matured and has worked hard to become the best player of the modern era. He was not nearly as polished and court -savvy in his early years. He's not Tim Tebow and he's not a scholar, he's a great athlete with a creative mind on the floor at the least, and in the media he is honest and polite. I have never understood the criticism in recent years. And about the dunk contest, he changed his mind.. is that a crime? It's the dunk contest.. hardly matters. |

On pinnacle it says "Sorry, USA - NBA odds are currently unavailable, but you may interested in these related markets." maybe they just took it down? I can't believe GS would be -125. Not saying the series is over by any means, just seems crazy to lay odds on a team down 2-1 to this Cavs team the way Lebron is playing. |

of course the Cavs will be favored to win the series now.

Lebron gets fouled more than any player since Shaq. Did you notice Draymond Green going ballistic after every call that went against him? In Cleveland he will get T'd up for running across the court to yell at the ref. And any call against Curry results in a mystified look on his face and a conversation with the ref.. every single time. Lebron haters act like he's the only one who protests calls. |

He is awesome but I'm not sure it's the kind of awesome that translates as well to an NBA finals series where every loose ball is an intense battle of toughness. When that Warriors offense is flowing and it's run and gun he is pretty amazing, but he looks uncomfortable in close quarters, quite simply limited by his size and strength. I still don't have a good feel for who will win the series but it's pretty clear the Cavs are the tougher more physical team. They seem to be controlling the pace so far but that can change when guys get tired. It's hard to win a championship relying on outside shooting but when you can shoot as well as the Warriors it could happen. |

I'm surprised to see Warriors still significantly favored. The Cavs now have home court advantage and looked like the better team for the majority of the first 2 games. Thought it would be like -150 warriors, +125 Cavs. I would still have to give the slight edge to the Warriors because Curry won't shoot that poorly again, but -200 is crazy. |

You're really gonna bring up an elbow when they hacked him almost every time he drove? Mosgov is no Shaq but he's an experienced 7'1 skilled player and in my opinion better than Bogut. If they refs had caught on earlier to all the arm grabbing and dirty maneuvers Bogut does out there he would have fouled out in the 3rd quarter.
