Cal- offensively they don't have much returning. Whichever qb the chose has yet to throw a pass in college football. With Sonny dykes trying to run a version of the spread with a new QB will most likely not end well in this game as it works right into the strength of northwestern defense with the speed in the secondary. Defensively they are going to try a 4-3 instead of last years 3-4 that gave up 442 yards per game. So new scheme might have some growing pains. Sonny dykes 3 season at Louisiana Tech his defense ranked 116th or worse in total defense in both '10 and '12. This is not good when going against an offense like northwestern. If northwestern can get off to a good start they will control this game running the ball & I don't see this game being close. Last year Cal scored 34 points in the first quarter while giving up 107points. Tho only positive for cal I can find for this game is that it's a home game and at night, but in my opinion that is not enough to stay within 6 points of northwestern.
Great write up , so many people are on Cal and I cant understand why. With defensive scheme changed I am sure first game there will be adjustments , NW is flying in several days early so time change wont be a issue and NW offense will put points on the board and Cals offense remains to be seen with new QB |

I am on Maryland this game , FIU brings back there QB and a excellent kick returner / CB. One major concern for FIU is the Kicking game as there are problems with long snapper as well as punter. They also have problem with FG kicker so they could be problems punting and kicking for FIU. Maryland has a lot of depth at all there skill positions and if FIU has problems punting Terps could have great field position all day and if they can punt it Diggs is a great returner for Terps. Maryland should cover this game easily as CJ Brown looks solid at QB and Diggs the go to go guy there.

Cal has a new QB plus losing other good skill players , they are changing the defensive scheme as well. Northwestern is still solid , I don't understand why so many are on Cal , Colter is a stud for Northwestern and I just see Cal stumbling in first game and Northwestern winning by double digits in this game |

It remains to be seen but the Jets could be worst team in NFL this year , if they are not worst they will be close to it. Bucs D will dominate this game and cant see why anyone would want to bet on Jets. |

Patriots have won by double digits past several years in week one , Either Kolb or EJ Manuel will not be able to produce the points Brady can put up.

This game is in Las Vegas , Boise State already played UNLV and had there party here. If you can remember they never came close to covering that game. Now Arizona State gets to party it up in Vegas and gets caught up in the Vegas visit. Boise will blow them out here as they will be much more prepared. Alot of poeple say UNLV plays well at home and its not that they play well but when teams come to vegas its party time for them instead of resting and preparing for there game. Add that this is Moores last game i think they will be pass happy and put alot of points on the board. Boise covers easily |

I look at the Vandy game and the Ole Miss game , what that tells me is Arkansas should not be ranked where they are and a team like LSU should have no problem covering. Arkansas cant run and because they will be one dementional they are playing into the hands of LSU. Arkansas has to play a perfect game to keep up with them and i just dont see it. I think turnovers will kill arky in this game. LSU rolls |

Okay folks first game on the board today so lets get this High School Football Season off with a W. Bishop Gorman (NV) vs Chaparral (AZ) 10:30 pm est The first big game of the year. Bishop Gorman comes into this game ranked #7 while Chaparral comes into the yea at #30. This is the first time that Chaparral is ever played a high profiled top level out of state team in the history of the program so they may be shocked by the bright lights of national TV. While Bishop Gorman is use to this lime light playing multiple games on national TV last year including there loss to Concord De La Salle last year. Bishop Gorman will have a big advantage in the trenches with 3 D1 prospects in their starting line they will look to pound the ball with Shaquille Powell. But don't underestimate their QB play in Junior Soloman. On the other side of the ball, the real test will be if Bishop Gorman can hold down the explosive offense of Chaparral. Chaparral has QB and Texas commit Connor Brewer and RB Davonte Neal. I believe that Bishop Gorman will be able to limit the amount of big plays that Chaparral will be able to produce and win by a TD 31-24. Bishop Gorman -1 at GL TO ALL |

We are on the same page LSU Oklahoma State Standford Alabama Georgia Tech South Carolina Oklahoma Wisconsin I just didnt bet UTEP and Michigan other then that we are thinking alike this week , LSU could be worse as i think back up QB could be easily rattled and cause some turnovers to set up easy scores for LSU |
