I would agree that the talent and performance in pitching is lacking to make a true run at the world series yes, but I would have no confidence issues with Padilla as you had initially stated ... Truly a Philly vs. LA argument here .... best of luck tonight! |

Padilla is the best we have at this point, and someone I'm sure teams wouldn't mind having in their rotation currently in the playoffs, i.e. 0.72 WHIP and 0.93 ERA in his last 3 starts, 2 of those 1 run games in the playoffs. That's pretty clutch if you ask me. So LA resting on the shoulders of Vincent/Fernando shouldn't make anyone feel bad. Resting on the shoulders of Hamels considering his play of late ... he's very lucky to be blessed with ample run support ... I'm just sayin' ... |

My question is, would this have even been an issue if the Dodgers won the game? It probably wouldn't have been mentioned. Maybe he sees life beyond what's in front of him; that this truly is just a game. But that's probably made very easy for him considering the amount of $$$ he makes. |

I agree with these last few days that we've been seeing more unders lately, and maybe we are starting to regress to the mean here as the season continues.
A little different when I look at totals, as I do look at stats, but then let my gut decide (and its full of good beer might I add) on my final decision to play or not to play.
Situational wagering, I believe you have described here with Boston, I believe work very well for the most part. I'll have to start playing these . . . thanks for the heads up.
Good Luck today . . . and make sure if you use that gut to refill it with good libations!!!!

Very nice Totals record, seems to be cushioning your overall. I'm more of a totals player myself (I like overs), and this leads to a question Do you find yourself playing more overs this year than unders? I noticed last year we saw less totals set at 6, more at 5.5, and the unders hitting. This year so far we're seeing more totals set at 5.5 with the overs hitting (this is purely from a perusing of daily scores with no hard facts. you numbers guys are more than welcome to fill in here).
My only observation so far is that it seems that some of the usually gifted brick walls have lost some of their luster, and the pool of talented goalies is a lot smaller than in the past.
Agree . . . disagree?

Although I don't disagree with the numbers, I have to throw out that Dallas is coming off two days rest, are playng at home and the line doesn't make sense. If their scoring D is 30th in the league, why are they favored?
I'm not saying I don't like the play, but the line is interesting considering how Dallas has played vs the strong start for Minnesota.
Somethings wrong with Turco this year . . . this should help your cause.
Good Luck

Like the Sharks play, just hope they don't run into the "wall" in net like Ottawa did.
K said: "The Ducks are better than their record and their win over the Leafs might be the start of something positive."
Because Toronto is a powerhouse this year??? The Ducks don't seem like themselves to start the season. Still having the Stanley Cup hangover? Their scoring looks even more anemic than last year. I'll stay away until I've seen them turn the corner.

I like the Kings over, but don't feel at ease with the line in the Rangers/Jackets game to warrant a play.
"In the last 5 meetings these teams have averaged 6.8 goals, 16 goals have been scored in New York’s last 2 road games, and an average of 7.2 goals have been scored in Columbus’ 6 games this season."
Why an opening line of 5 then? I smell fish . . . |

This is an overrated coaching move these days. Your basically giving the kicker two chances to hit the field goal. I don't believe this has worked all season from the games i have seen it used.
