Close well played game, 9ers win the turn-over battle by 1 and win the field position battle due to Andy Lee's leg and win it with a David Akers Field Goal.

Yes, I think it is fair to say that the Giants have more offensive weapons than the 9ers on offense. But that argument was stronger in the Saints game, especially with the fact that the Saints had the #6 ranked rushing game over the course of the year at more than 132 yards per game to the Giants 32nd ranked rushing game at just over 89 yards per game (though it is without a doubt stronger now since Bradshaw was missing for a stretch during the regular season). Oh, by the way the 9ers limited the Saints last week to 37 yards on the ground . If they do the same thing to the Giants, Manning will still get his yards but without play action Whitner and Goldson will be able to stay deep and allowing the 9er pass rush to get to Manning more often. 9ers can stuff the run with 7 in the box most of the time. 9ers will have a difficult time throwing the ball deep because of the Giants front four. Watch for Kyle Williams in the slot he could be the wild card in this game for the 9ers. Both teams have great front 7s and suspect secondaries. Giants have a better passing game Niners have a better running game Niners have better special teams Giants have better big play capabilities (because of Manning and Cruz)

9ers are being completely overlooked here (just like last week). When Whitner knocked out Thomas on the opening drive, it set the tone for the entire game. Those turn overs were not by luck or bad bounces. The 9ers forced those turnovers by taking the game to the Saints. Same reason they led the league in take-away margin all year long.
I am sure that Harbaugh prefers to see his guys looked at as the underdogs even if they are 2.5 favorites at the moment (I expect that to get driven down to 1 point or maybe even a pick up by game time by all the Manning lovers out there and /or all the East Coast Money) True, the Giants have been on a roll and have been playing championship football, but you can look at this as if it will be their fifth consecutive playoff game going back to the Jets game, since losing any of those games would have eliminated them from playoff contention or knocked them out of the playoffs. That is a lot of stress for a team to endure for an extended length of time and they have not had the luxury of a bye during that time. Forecast calls for rain Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and maybe even Sunday in the Bay Area. So the field will be slow and wet. Both teams play it close to the vest and fight for field position.....Game ends up being tight and is decided by a field goal in the last two minutes. Akers is better than Tynes so I will take my chances with the 9ers and the home field advantage here in a close one.
