Puzzeled by large line drop. Texas Tech appears much improved defensively and last year when Tech gave offenses points at will, they still romped 55-19. Some may not know, but Mahomes the QB last year was shaken up in the game and this years starting QB came in and threw for a bunch of yards, 200+ I think and 4 TD's. See a similar game this year. Tech by a bunch...I hope. |

I hope your right. Tech is always strong at home, no matter who they play. I have watched Tech football for over 50 years. This is by far the best offensive team Tech has ever put on the field, however it is still one dimensional. Pass game is excellent, the run game is still getting it together. However, I can say without a doubt, this is the worst Tech defense by far I have ever witnessed. Both coaches know each other well, as one was the coach of the player at one time and were coaches together at Houston. Tech finds a way to get some turnovers, way due, and wins this game outright by 14.

Money appears to be on Tech with a 2 point swing in the opening line. Call me a homer but I think Tech wins this one. Tech's defensive line has two big bodies in the that were blue chip transfers from Notre Dame and Michigan, to go with the 4* Fehoko that is a soph. Running against Tech should be much harder this year. SFA, no juggernaut for sure, but only had -5 yards rushing at the half. 2nd half of Tech's game with SFA the 2nd and 3rd stringers played. Tech shouldn't be wary of going to Arizona State's back yard, just Ck out Tech vs Arkansas in Fayetteville last year. Tech won 35-24 |

I have seen both in person. OU wins this one outright. Paylor or is it Bailor goes down. The bubble bursts tonight. BOOMER SOONER! |

urrrk... "WHY would this even be favored WVU by 8?! I'm lost here guys" The main reason is that Tech has the best "red carpet" defense in the nation. They lay the red carpet out to the endzone for all teams. The line is a bit high I think as Tech has a offense almost as good as any of the BIG 12 powerhouses. If Tech can stay away from turnovers they should score almost everytime they touch the ball. So should WV. I will take Tech to cover...as it appears who can break who's serve so to speak will win outright. |

We will see...but Arkansas would strum Iowa State by 20. Look for Tech to open up a big lead early and Iowa State will not be able to keep up. Tech by 20 or more.

Iowa State is no Baylor, TCU or Arkansas. Maybe more like UTEP. I will take Tech to cover easily.

Last year Tech fielded a QB that was slow and not accurate and was a turnover machine. This is the best offense Tech has fielded since the Leach era by far.

Beware of Tech's home field advantage. Strange things happen in Lubbock on Saturdays. Plus whoever said Arkansas has more talent than Tech, might want to check the recruiting the last couple of years. I will take Tech. I know homer alert.

Just some info I think that is shoving the line back towards OSU. Coach Turderville is not at Tech anymore. The great decay started with him. The line has moved cause the pundits are saying...Tech is 1-7 in November blah blah blah. That was under Turderville. Tech is 7-1 this year under a new coach with the basically the same players Turderville had. Also, if you haven't experienced the Jones at night...it is worth 7points there. The decibel meter will be pegging tonight...guaranteed |

Texas Tech, along with Louisville, is one of the most overrated top 25 teams in the country. They've yet to beat anyone with a winning record. Hell, they've beat powerhouses such as Texas State, Stephen F. Austin, SMU, etc. Sure, OU has had a down year thus far. But don't kid yourself, they're still the premier Big 12 power. Additionally, the Sooners have lost only lost once at home the past several years. Yep, they lost to Tech two years ago at home and you better believe that Stoops hasn't let his team forge that. Therefore, they will not be underestimating this Tech football team. Guys swallow the points, even if it's a full touchdown. Sooners by double digits. I honestly expected the line to be -10, but instead those of us betting OU received a gift. Sooners big! 38 - 24 It is always amusing how people are quick to go with a so called traditional power and give all the reasons that a program like Tech can't or shouldn't because OU just has to throw a helmet on the field. I ask all you this...what about OU's lack of a downfield passing game. OU's difficulty when facing a defense with a pulse vs. the run? Or what about OU looking very average vs. Kansas, but yet this "overrated Tech team stomped KU in their building or the fact that the overrated team defeated WVU, a team OU could barely beat in Norman? Sounds like you believe only what is on the surface, yet when you dig down deeper you see that OU favored is why Texas Tech is one of the top underdog picks of this weekend. Tech many not win...a blow out would be very unlikely. |

West Virginia started showing some offensive prowess last week. Trickett is about to break out I think. KSU offense is not bad, but this one should be tight. WVU +10.5 with a outright win not out of the question.

SMU's front is tougher than what some might think. A&M's OL is good but not like last season. I see a struggle for a half or so, then A&M breaks out. Will it be enough time to get the cover though. SMU has a decent QB and decent receivers...especially #1. A&M should cover, but to me it is more like a 45-21 game. |
