Really like San Diego tonight myself. Having a good night on solo bets. Miley against San Diego will bring back bad memories.

I HAD a tasty parlay in the works but an Ubaldo implosion ruined that. Had Brewers/Marlins/Royals/Padres all underdog MLs w/ Under 9.5 Boston/Baltimore added. Looks like the dog moneylines will hit too...

Feel for those who had the under. This game was breezing by and then an Ubaldo implosion occurred in the Top of the 6th -- giving up 5 runs before registering an out. It was 4-0 through 5 w/ more than half of the game played. And then boom -- 5 runs in the top of 6th w/ no outs.

Ouch.

Deep league and need a bat. 5x5 standard roto w/ OPS instead of AVG. I send Jeff Samardzija and Randal Grichuk and receive Dexter Fowler. I'm in the bottom 3 of all offensive categories except SBs. I'm the top 3 in most pitching categories but Samardzija is definitely my most consistent arm of late. I also get Ben Revere back from the DL this weekend so it could be nice owning both the Nats and Cubbies leadoff men.

Wrong forum, I know, but thoughts?

You clearly don't follow Florida State football. This is FSU time.

FSU doesn't lose bowl games. FSU doesn't lose -- period.

Again, December and January is FSU time. Zero slow starts.

I like your thinking with this game, fsu teased with over may also be a possibility

Passionate fan?

More like dead accurate on FSU.

Except QB & a few other positions

Jameis threw more picks in one qtr than Mariota threw all year (yes, that's correct)

Marcus has a superior QBR, accuracy & he can run

Jameis is the better pro prospect for 95% of NFL teams but to say he is better than Marcus as a college QB this season is literally foolish

Jameis is surrounded by pros & 5 star talent & he still doesn't stack up stat wise, his record is the only thing better (which by that account would make AJ MCcarron better than Mariota, that's kind of amusing isn't it ? )

Being a homer is ok, I see it all over the forum when people back their team & take shots at other teams but when you go full retard I have to speak up bro

Let's kindly discuss the route trees of Travis Rudolph, Ermon Lane, Bobo Wilson, and Kermit Whitfield.

Winston threw about 6 pure interceptions. 75% of his interceptions were on young receivers not finishing out their route trees.

I don't expect you to recognize this because no one has the in depth knowledge of FSU that I do.

You act like you do. But you pale in comparison to myself.

BOTH FSU and Alabama are TWO are the handful (yes, 5 is a handful) of the NCAA's all-time dynasties.

What could be better than watching two legendary programs with TONS of legendary history go at it?

Oregon has literally accomplished NOTHING of merit as a football program other than win the award for best uniform combinations.

Add in the fact that both Jimbo Fisher and Nick Saban coached on the same LSU team and are from the same coaching tree, how can you really think that Oregon/Alabama would be the "best game?"

Pure comedy what people refuse to understand FSU is. It's not little league stuff with them. It's history.

Putting things into proper perspective (i.e. grading) is important when it comes to Offensive and Defensive rankings...

So let's take a look at the team with the 50th ranked Pass Defense, and 60th ranked Rushing defense, and put those into perspective:

The ACC has 2 teams in the top 20 in rushing offense, and 1 more in the top 40... they have 0 teams who are top 20 in passing offense, and only 1 in the top 40 in that category...

PERSPECTIVE!

The perspective is that there are better defenses in the ACC.

And the sexual assault ALLEGATION is a nonissue.

The only thing Winston is guilt of is cheating on his girlfriend at Rice University via a night of drinking and dancing with a coed infamous for dating and seeking football players. She only identified Winston MONTHS later when she realized she would not be enjoying his future millions with him when he went back to Bri at Rice.

I've read all 2000+ public documents on the matter and the facts support Winston. Just has further to do with the media feeding the country a narrative because Winston threatens the financial empire the SEC is and wants to be.

MrDokie
College Football > OREGON IS TINY. FSU Wins By 10+ > View Post
In no way, shape, or form did I mean that Winston is Aaron Rodgers... right now.

Do you take everything so literal?

Winston projects to an Aaron Rodgers QB. He is a prototypical pocket passing QB in the mold of Aaron Rodgers. Oh, and he is a higher rated prospect than Rodgers EVER was.

So why is that comparison so far off. I think Winston goes down on the Mount Rushmore of NFL QBs when his career is all said and done. He is a very special talent and a lot of the world refuses to believe and accept that because of thinly veiled racism against the athlete who single handedly toppled the SEC's invested interest in ESPN and the committee.

The kid has accounted for 52 tds and 2 ints this year.  I also would take Mariotta over Winston because Winston is a complete moron off the field.  I don't think you could argue that point.

Good luck man.  Florida State is a good team, but you poking your chest out like they are the greatest dynasty ever and no one can/will beat them is comical.  The fact is that once Jameis leaves the "dynasty" is over because you can't just pick up a football player like him every year.  He is a once every 10-20 year player.

You act like FSU is just Jameis Winston. There is a reason we have the longest bowl streak in the NCAA. Jimbo Fisher has the train loaded up ready to roll with another recruiting class littered with 5 star talent.

No doubt Jameis is historic and I expected all of this when FSU started recruiting him in 2010/2011. Ive expected this for 4 years, thats why I pound my chest. No one has been more accurate in college football than I have been.

I bet FSU -- with a freshman QB after EJ left -- to win the title last year in May of 2013... And it hit. It's going to happen again.

FSU is a dynasty. It actually is listed as one of the 5 recognized ollegiate football dynasties per SI.

Before there was "SEC speed" there was Florida State speed. The SEC was molded after FSU.

Mariota is the product of a system and FSU has played a much more difficult schedule -- despite what metrics want you to believe. My metric is this -- how many secondary and defensive pros has Mariota faced and how many has Winston faced? Louisville, Miami, Clemson, Notre Dame, Florida, among others have MANY more NFL pro prospects than the likes of Mariota against Washington, Washington State, Utah, Oregon State, Colorado, and Cal.

Since I deal in the business of facts -- here are facts to pimp out Mariota's system as to why he was so many TDS:

PAC 12 PASS defense rankings in D1 football (consisting of 128 teams):

California -- 128th
Washington St -- 126th
Washington -- 124th
Arizona -- 119th
Oregon -- 114th (just to show how inflated the PAC 12 really is and that Winston is absolutely going to shred the 114th overall pass defense)

USC -- 110th
Arizona State -- 107th
Colorado -- 101st
Oregon State -- 93rd
Utah -- 90th
UCLA -- 87th
Stanford -- 7th

No doubt, Mariota is going to win the Heisman this year and he deserves it. But Winston will win the game. There is no way around it.

Winston is Aaron Rodgers.
Mariota is Colin Kaepernick

All of his off field issues are minor and actually non existent since CURSING. Lets crucify the man for cursing. His only off the field issues of any merit are CURSING and ACCEPTING (not stealing as they were pre packaged by a friend and waiting for him) crab legs. He was suspended for both offenses. Missed a handful of baseball games for the crab legs and the nation was introduced to Sean Maguire against Clemson for his cursing incident.

FSU's OL averages 322 pounds whereas Oregon's averages 282 pounds. Thats a 40 pound differential. Plus who are those names? FSU has Cameron Erving, Bobby Hart, Josue Matias, Tre Jackson, and others who have been doing it big game in and big game out for 730+ calendar days now.

FSU has southern recruited pro prospects. Oregon has a system in an undersized conference -- which is about to get exposed.

MrDokie
College Football > OREGON IS TINY. FSU Wins By 10+ > View Post
Oregon and the PAC 12 are about to be exposed on New Years Day. The reason Oregon has so much success is because the PAC 12 is littered with a bunch of undersized athletes. Oregon just has undersized athletes in the right system.

Now it's time to face a southern football team with southern recruits. FSU has bigger bodies. FSU has better athletes -- despite what the media wants you to think.

FSU is going to hit Oregon harder than they've been hit the last 4 years. Oregon will score, sure. But FSU will pull this game out and extend the lead late for a comfortable victory.

And it is VERY debatable. Jameis is not a system QB. He is groomed in the mold of Peyton. He is a black drop back passer -- the likes of which this sports has ever seen.

He is Aaron Rodgers -- but he was more highly recruited, better coached in college, and he's already achieved more than Rodgers can dream of.

WE ARE NUMBER 1.

DONT LET THE COMMITTEE FOOL YOU.

There is only one undefeated power 5 team left -- and they are located in Tallahassee.

Just got home from Sun Life. What a game.

Oh -- and Roberto Aguayo has a younger brother, Ricky Aguayo, who will follow in his footsteps to FSU.

I can CONFIRM for you he has a stronger leg than Roberto.

It's great to be a Nole.

We just reload.

We are a dynasty.

Had 3 FIVE STAR 2015 commits in the last 3 weeks and just landed the number one overall FIVE STAR QB for the 2016 class.

There is only one dynasty in sports -- and its located in Tally.
