Heehee, oh the pressure - as long as someone gets some value out of these 4 starters - I'll be happy.

I wanted to quickly compile a few quick thoughts - I'm not putting too much thought into grammar and content, but hopefully someone finds parts of this useful.
My 101 Gambling Views: 1. Gambling can bring out the best and worst in a person. For example, the emotional pressure can crack you where you might want to vent or rant to others around you. Or it can galvanize your personality where you are cool & calm, where nothing phases you, where you become like cold emotionless stone face. It can also make you more desperate. Sadly and statistically, many gamblers commit suicide over their habit every year. In the Luxor hotel, for instance, one story tells of a gambler, a young married man, who lost all of his money - he had like $100k cash - he kept coming back to the room, telling his wife, "I almost have everything back" - when he lost it all, it is said he leaped to his death from the hotel ledge. 2. I always crack up inside when I read how users want to control others. Some people tail others and then get upset when the freebie tailed pick loses. The tailers want to deride and vent against the wrong person: they vent against the person who puts out a free pick. Then afterwards, there are usually several users chiding the venters and ranters - they usually say something like: blame yourself since you ultimately selected it on your own accord. Both of those types usually want to 'control' someone else's actions - I'd be hypocritical if I didn't confess that I've wanted to act like the venter as well as the chider at some point in the past - I think it's a natural reaction from both types - however, I wish both sides would chill, and let the monitors do their job and see if anyone is violating the Terms of Service or not. In general, I'm in favor of freedom of speech, and less controlling censorship - you can't really stop either of type of action, so why try to police something that is unenforceable? Also, the more controls people try to impose, the more we turn into a propaganda machine like North Korea or Russia, where expression is curtailed. Even trying to filter obscenities are easy to defeat: misspell the curse word, and it totally bypasses the heuristic, does it not? Again, why should the owners spend money on monitoring trying to enforce the unenforceable? Just a thought. The good cappers don't like to be ridiculed when they release picks that lose, or go on a bad trend. Many are a superstitious lot as well. Imo, they still need to post regardless of the criticism if they want forum to be a content rich site, a thing of value. 3. Caveat Emptor and Caveat Vendor. Each user needs to be aware that there are different motivations. There are a lot of spammers who try to sell their picks. Many will list their own site domain name or email, etc. They usually have several fake accounts where the fake accounts act as shills. Always be leery of spammers and always always, follow the money, always. If they offer money back guarantees or try to list an unbelievable record, that should be a major red flag imo. If they really win at such a clip, they would be multi millionaires and would just play their own picks. Does that make sense? 4. Weights, Overreaction and Tailing. -First advice: if you are going to pick on your own accord, try not to take a team that you think is good that just covered in a big way. Wait for them to lose a game first. Overreacting to a blowout win and jumping on the team at that point is gambling suicide. -Second advice: if you are going to Tail someone who you think is a good capper, wait for them to lose a pick. They will likely bounce back on the following release. Tailing someone after they have covered 3 times in a row gives you the confidence that to tail them, but statistically it's tail suicide if you think about it. -Third advice: try very hard not to segment the pick - segmenting in definition world means that you play the first half, etc. -Weight Advice: this topic is one of my most important, so I don't want to fully release all of my thoughts about this subject, but for now, I'll just leave you with a snippet to say that it's a dicey area. Wikipedia says it's very difficult, and I'll give my insights about it, hopefully in the near future. Good luck to all ! |

haha this thread is so funny...everyone likes to give their opinions and advice since there's no juice added to wager...what you experienced is called: life
ups and downs...vicissitudes of life...this is a classic case of: u cant have what you want baby syndrome...i agree with everyone who said u r a stalker right now, and u should stop my g0d man, get a hold of yourself !! if you werent in this situation, where it was some other dude you hated calling some chick like a hungry dog chasing a squirrel, you would likely look at it more objectively and say: dude, stop stalking - youre a loser! PS- that will be 50 cents for my free Lucy advice |

I can see all of them right there for the cover...not crazy about super dog plays though, so I'll avoid the Illy play, but O state could still cover since the HC loves to run up the scores anytime he can.
