Huge duck fan here, take utah + the points. Masoli has regressed in the offense, I'm guessing he throws 3 picks today. Also, mediocre qb's are always destined to have career days against Nick Alliotti defenses.

This is going to be an upset. Here's why it'll be an upset: Boise State likely will be favored and rightfully so, considering the Broncos won in Eugene last year (they were up 37-13 in the fourth quarter before holding off a late Ducks charge, and winning 37-32). But remember this: Ducks quarterback Jeremiah Masoli missed most of the game with a concussion. And anyone who saw Oregon at the end of last season—and specifically, the way Masoli had developed into a dangerous dual-threat quarterback—knows this Ducks team doesn't remotely resemble the group that was forced to use its fifth quarterback of the season (because of injuries) during the second half of the Boise State game in Week 3. Listen, I know it's Boise State at home, but be careful, this Duck team has high expectations this year. I've been keeping up with camp and workouts and it looks like they're working harder than they ever did when Mike Bellotti was the coach. Chip Kelly really has rejuvenated the program and the way they prepare. The fan in me says this isn't even going to be close, the realist says Oregon in a close one. |

i'd like to reiterate that chip kelly lives up to any hype with time to prepare. but tonight it was the defense that made it happen for oregon. granted, dez byrant was out, but it was OSU's decision to try and play him and it wounded themselves in the end.
congrats Oregon backers. i'll take the sooners in the natty championship. |

i wouldnt listen to anyone on espn, they aren't there because they make good picks they're there because they can read the teleprompter without choking. craig james is a big SEC homer, outside of the SEC i wouldnt trust anything he has to say.

i cant emphasize enough how well chip kelly's offenses have performed with time to prepare. everyone was pointing to how poorly oregon finishes seasons last year and then lit up USF with a fourth string qb making his second start. after the game the USF players said that oregon was by far the fastest and most physical team they played all year.
i don't think oregon is necessarily any faster or physical than this OKst squad but i expect them to surprise some people. i'm actually going to reopen my betting account to get a play in on this one. oregon +the points. |

i wasn't talking about the oregon defense, everyone knows they are garbage, but jacquizz would have had no part in keeping oregon from scoring 65 on clearly one of the better Pac10 defenses. and how do you figure arizona to be a joke team?

i'm not playing this, but have you seen how chip kelly does with more than 1 week to prepare? the numbers are staggering.
from Rob Moseley's blog in the Register Guard- This season, the Ducks scored 44 in the opener against Washington, 54 coming out of a bye week against Arizona State and 65 coming out of a bye week against Oregon State. Notice a trend?" IMO- ducks found their swagger and rhythm two games ago against arizona and haven't looked back. i'm very nervous about this game but when i think about our last two games against solid pac10 teams (arizona & oregon state), and Chip Kelly's history with time to prepare, Oregon plus the points looks very attractive if i was still betting. |

A few quick facts:
? This is the first time ? As a head coach Mike Belotti is 17-0 versus WAC opponents. ? ? Ducks rose to #12 in the coaches poll. Extending the poll beyond the top 25, ? BCS killers? BSU is 4-17 versus BCS teams. Two of those wins were against ? and good luck to bsu trying to contain an oregon team at autzen that should be galvanized after getting unpleasantly surprised last weekend. i'll be playing the oregon ML assuming it isn't too expensive. i would think next weeks game in pullman is more likely to be a loss than this game at autzen. |
