I agree with most of what you said. Being part of this forum is listening to total bullshit so I suggest you get over that, first-and-foremost. That game was anybody's to win and for people who think they had the game 'in the bag' by betting a side are only kidding themselves.... The best bet, and the one that was never in question, was the... UNDER.....cash my fucking ticket please...see you next season |

Lmfao, i also find it kinda funny, because what would Rodgers and Drew Brees and Peyton manning then be, a top 500-1000 quarterback with some luck? Now, instead of a Patriots victory i can read bullshit like this on this board: "1) first and foremost... Brady and Bellicheck are not Gods... BB is a great coach, but Brady is an extremely over-hyped QB... yes he's very good, but not immortal by any stretch, and at best is a top 10 all-time QB... more likely, top 20...
And Tim Tebow is the best quarterback, right? GOOD POST, well said, but DOUBLE T IS not done yet.! |

God I hope he comes to Miami and is healthy. We got the inside scoop on Flynn and Tannehill so I would trust the coach's judegement on those guys. IMO Luck and Weeden are the only first round talent qb's in the draft. No chance Luck falls past the first pick and I don't care who takes Griffin, as long as he doesnt bring his overrated talent to South Beach. |

My take on the Peyton sweepstakes. I'm playing it this way. It's a long shot for sure but I have placed futures bets on the SB winner next year based on where I think he may end up. I placed 4 small bets on the following teams. Denver, Miami, Arizona, & San Fran. For $25 each I have a shot at + $1000 win next Feb. Like I said, it's a long shot, but a very inexpensive gamble for the 2012 NFL season. I think he will come back with a vengeance, a chip on his shoulder, and comeback player of the year. Time will tell I'm full of it. It's a gamble I'll gladly take. |

To denounce the first fact : No team has ever won the Super Bowl with less than 10 regular season wins. (Giants 9-7) As for the strength of schedule, that's only relevant in college sports. There are no easy games, gimmes, or weaklings in the NFL. But it's worth noting that the Pats were 5-2 in their 7 games against their most talented opponents (Jets twice,Giants,Cowboys,Eagles,Steelers,Ravens, and Chargers) And they were 15 seconds away from winning the Giants game too. What makes me laugh is the people who talk about the Giants peaking at the right time because they've won 5 straight since their pitiful 7-7 start. But very few seem to acknowledge NE's 10 game win streak coming into this game. |

The breakdown of this game is simple and boring and I really don't even feel like talking about it but it's necessary.Where are the PATRIOTS DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT? The GIANTS DEFINITELY ARE. This game when breaking it down is really simple because both teams want to do the exact same thing offensively. The need to sell run on both sides to establish play action is paramount. The team that sells the run and commits to it without turning it over allowing the other team extra possessions wins this game most of the time. The Giants ability to move Brady off his spot w/ their 3 probowl def linemen will be huge. Their ability to pressure Brady w/ front four and leave 7 in coverage will be a significant advantage. When talking about experience factors and edges outsside of cold hard facts I'm not weighing much of it. Giants 16 players from 08'...Pats 8...means little...revenge factor...meaningless. It's all about now, the game is bigger than anything else and players/coaches all realize it. There is no need to even bring up week 9 as both teams are different and drastically improved since then...... no need to talk about coaching expertise w/ 2 weeks to prepare for a game. With all due respect I think Belichik is one of the greatest head coaches that ever lived but I do not discount the fact that Coughlin has his guys 110% ready, accountable and every bit prepared as the Pats. Coughlin's team at 7-7 rally to this point and has done it 4 yrs ago almost in similar fashion...the guy gets so little praise for what he has done it's baffling to me. It will all come down to matchups and reaction/adjustments to those matchups. When all said and done I feel strongly that the Giants are equal to or have the advantage in all 3 phases of this game especially on the defensive side of the ball primarily front 4 where they are as dominant as any defensive line has ever been in history of this league. Eli will further establish himself this Sunday as the Hall of Fame QB that he already is. Giants 6-0 last 6 post season games away/neutral field they have been here and been battle tested in these spots. Not a whole lot has been said about how improved they are in all 3 phases of the game this time around but that's alright....heading into this 46th SB as dogs yet again it's baffling to me. This group is much better than 07/08' in all phases and Pats are not nearly what they were then.....to go into this game a dog regardless of how small is the icing on the cake. How much more do they have to do to convince people they are the better team right now? They don't have to...just win baby plain and simply. Giants will score 28-35 in this game and unless they implode defensively it will be plenty good enough for a 4th SB victory further cementing themselves as one of the greatest franchises in NFL history. |

Not necessarily that NYG is getting most the action, but more so, at how little NE is getting. A team which is usually a public darling has now been abandoned and the majority of bettors who supported the Pats throughout the year have now jumped ship. I've heard the reasons and can somewhat see why. I was all over the G-Men against SF and immediately was going to jump all over NY before I saw the line and before I thought about it a bit more. Unlike Collin Coward, who thought the Giants would be 6 pt favorites, which I think is crazy, I actually thought we would see NE favorite by at least 6. People point to the fact that the Giants are hot, winners of 5 in a row, but who is the true hot team? The Pats have won 10 in a row (6-4 ATS). I don't care who they've played....that is impressive in the NFL and nobody is mentioning this. The fact that it's the Pats, who have been perennial winners, it's easy to disregard this. If just about another team came into this game with their same resume, they would be highly touted. But since people are used to seeing NE win, I can see why this is disregarded. Another thing that is mentioned a lot is that NE has not beating a team with an above .500 record during the regular season. They've played two teams with an above .500 record during the reg season...lost at Pitt and lost to these same Giants by 4 pts despite committing 4 turnovers. Not sure if this loss to the Giants favors NY. Nevertheless, this is an absolutely WEAK argument. NE is the reason NYJ,SD, DEN, OAK and PHIL are not above .500. So give credit where credit is due. NE has been consistent and hot all year...not over a short span. People also point to the fact NE defense is weak, but bottom line, both these defenses are poor...it's just NYG has more notable names on their front. I'm sure there will be many excuses about how NYG has been banged up but I'm not buying it. New England -3 (even) LARGE NE -7.5 (+180) Over 54 WRONGO DONGO. The Giants ARE hotter now and that is what counts .The last 5 games have been huge and they won them all out performing the pointspred big except S.F., and that was on road. All the data and stats and power ratings have not matched the reality of where the GIANTS D is now. all the so called numbers reflect the regular season, not the present ; it is kind of simple; what don"t you understand? They beat them in the S.B., beat them this year and ended their long home winning streak and Brady SUCKED, (HIS WORDS) AGAINST THE ONLY 3 RESPECTABLE DEFENSES HE PLAYED AGAINST THIS YEAR, PITTS. NYG., AND BALT. and two of those are getting old and decrepid.....THE GIANTS ARE GETTING HEALTHIER AND BETTER AS WE SPEAK .COLIN WAS WRONG,they should be favored by 7. UWILLCSUNDAY>>>> NOBIAS HERE>>>>JUST COLOR IT (Lucas Oil Stadium ) BLUE, AS IN BIG BLUE! Good luck everyone! |

Well said......after all is said and done.....no matter if you believe in Billys ability to game plan better than GOD himself, it will still come down to MATCH UPS. At this time, I see the Giants as the better match up team. What bothers me the most is.......Vegas doesn't give away winners this easy. So besides my conspiracy theory, I agree with your thread. |

Brady ranks fourth all time based on some dude's opinion on bleacherreport. Anybody can write an article on this site. Anybody. That said, it's a good list and article IMO. |

Impossible to compare. The Giants have played far superior competition over that span while the Patriots have played some pretty weak teams. |

I hope you can shut that team out. AFC is weak. And if you really want to compare the year stats, take into account the pats played no one over 500 and the Giants had the hardest schedule in the league. You don't know much about football if you think the pats are going into this game with a defense that is as good as the Giants.
