Its all about the weather...if its a clear and not windy, Pats should cover without a problem. If sloppy weather, then it'll be much closer. Just keep an eye on the weather prior to dropping big

Young's top go-to receiver, Bo Scaife, lacerated his liver in the Colts game and is done for the season. This is Vince's guy, especially in important situations. If San Diego can stop the run, I don't think Vince can beat them through the air.

Not too smart...Giant players talking a little smack about Brady. When will they ever learn....

Going to the game, bummed they changed the time due to the weather starting late in the day (no rain until gametime more or less, so the field is A-OK). One thing to be keep in mind, Belichick drilled the Pats this week, having them practice in FULL pads the whole time, usually they have light practices but not this week. He is keeping his foot down on the pedal. If the weather holds up, I don't think Miami will be able to do much after the emotional win, and with the injuries. I think Taylor will start (for the record) but then sit. Pats 38 Dolphins 6 |

hey bigdaddy, nice to see you on the thread
weather teetering back and forth
also heard Jason Taylor was on crutches last night, looking for confirmation.
Dolphins got their win, pressure is off, they might let up a bit now since I am guessing their goal was to get one win at the least. |

10am game for Oakland (time zone) and long trip plus no Fargas makes me think Jax wins, also, keep in mind, players that are not going to the Pro Bowl usually get pissed and make a point (Fred Taylor).

Jags playing for top WC spot, Fargas out for year, but might be a letdown after PIT win?

Like GB here, especially since now they do have a shot at the #1 seed. Chicago loses a close one on the road that they could have won, last primetime game for them. Might be packing it in now.

Colts backers be careful...Indy has nothing to play for, they've already clinched the #2 spot.

I'd be more comfortable taking SEA if it wasn't for the early start

Might have some effect...Bills offensive coordinator is going to be the new head coach of Col. St. Universiry. He's not leaving until after the season, but is already working on assembling his staff. Something to keep in mind.

Assume even the Bengals can stop Gore if they load up the box. Can't see 49ers scoring at all in this one. Bengals should light them up.

No matter what they all say in front of the camera for the media they want to absolutely murder the Jets this week. They aren't playing for anything in the standings, they are pretty much only playing to prove a point. That point is that the NFL was way too harsh in their punishment with the 1st rounder and $500k. Damn tough choice here but I think the play is New England -24 and UNDER 47...will probably flip flop 9 more times before then
New England 38
Jets 6
I agree re: the weather. Just saw a report, majority of the storm is going to start Saturday at midnight and stop around gametime. Now of course, there is no way to determine how the field is going to hold up , so keep an eye on it. I don't think lose anything by waiting. However I do have to disagree with one thing you said, the Pats are playing for home field advantage, they haven't clinched that yet. BUT, I do agree that the defense is going to be the one that determines the spread. You might also start to see players taking it easy if they have a big lead because no one wants to get hurt now. |

Pats fan here and Boston resident...if the weather was ideal, I'd consider this line, but there is a good chance for a big storm late Saturday night into Sunday...no one knows if we'll get hit with it or not (just saw the news) so I would wait unless you want to take the Jets

Best Case, Major Anouncement say Brett Will Not Play
Line drops to like 8 or9 jump all over GB.
Just thoughts...
what are you talking about? Nall was just signed on Sunday, and so far he's been bad in practice. I don't think he's even thrown a pass in two years! also, there is no way Favre doesn't play. He has his streak to keep alive, and he's not going to sit for this type of injury. be wary GB packers, the Pack wont be able to run against Oak, and if Favre is out, this game will not be a blow-out.

curious why line was dropping with % on NO, found out Bush is hurt, might not play.

Be careful...Favre is still hurt, they are not going to risk him and also Aaron Rodgers is also out, so the 3rd string QB might be in there (Craig Nall?)
Like the under more than GB

Thank you no-name second year back for the victory guarantee, AND for saying Cincy receivers are better than New England's... :
I feel better about my bet now

7 seems too high for the Bills to be favored over anyone. However, looks like Lynch might play. Staying away from this one regardless...guessing no team wants to be the one to lose to Miami though.
