Kohler, it's just been flat out painful to watch. At times I'm waiting to see Superfly Snuka jump off of a field goal post and tackle somebody. Talk about COME ON, MAN! And the funny thing is, the worse the play, the less likely to see a replay. Or the announcers just feed you the typical BS excuses. I know you didn't ask me about the Cincy covers, but, so far most of the narrative has been waiting for Dalton to fail or "show his true colors" and I feel there was enough doubt in his legitimacy to take the points. On occasion, a miracle has even happened like in the Seattle game and all of the sudden, BANG another cover. On Thursday the narrative was pretty much the same as usual with the good ole "interstate rival", "division foes", "Browns' fans make the trip and the Browns play for pride and their fans", "look what the Browns did to the Bengals last year on Primetime Thursday Night", "11 points is a big spread", and this year you got the bonus of "the maturing of Johnny Football" and "the Browns have been in most of their games this year and played tough" blah, blah, blah. The list goes on. The same cliche BS that we've been spoonfed all of our lives as they try to dictate our thinking and logic. It seems that as soon as the narrative makes all of the sense in the world that Cincy will cover, they won't. That will be about par for the course for what I've seen this year. Think of what makes the most sense and what the majority of people probably think, then do the opposite! Sorry for interjecting ... I'm just ranting about the Phix, LOL! |

BigDripper,
Thanks for saying out loud what I have been increasingly thinking -- that these primetime games are seemingly "scripted" with crazy back door covers and sudden changes in momentum. It's best to follow the Phixer as he is not perfect, but is absolutely the best guide thru the Jungles of Betting. Phixer, Surely Cincy has their ATS losses coming as they are now 8-0-1 ATS. When is the right time to pounce. Already came prematurely the last two weeks, LOL. (Let the jokes follow)!!

Cincy is now undefeated ATS. It's gotta end soon.

Hello Phixer,
Nice to see you back this season as I have been following you again. Do you think that it is Cincinnati's time to lose given their undefeated record ATS? Time to double up since they won their last game before the bye?

It's early and none of these games are over yet, but looking good on all 4 right now! Good start.

Phix, Obviously hindsight is 20/20 but I sensed that Peyton and Denver were going to get it done today because of the amount of talk about Brady 10-4 vs. Manning on ESPN and the # of people on Pats + the points. Denver really has more playmakers on the team, IMO. On Sportsbook Spy both the 'dogs were about 68-9% of the bets. Just seemed like everyone liked the Pats. and the 49ers. I am starting to catch on... Just gotta have the Balls to say it BEFORE the game.! I did go 4-0 today but small bets. |

Some might say Douchey; some others would say making a point in a hilarious way and with no harm intended. |

The 2nd half under at both offshore books I use was 96 which unfortunately was not high enough. Lost 3.3 units at Both books. Figures the one time I hit it a double shot... oh well.

Very astute observations. Read them all and can't really disagree with any. Keep up the good work.

This OH system worked great for me last night as all three games I chose won in the first half - Pacers under 94, NYKnicks under 94 and Detroit over 97. No chasing, no sweat. It won't always be like this I know but great work.

Thank You for the hard work on this system. Tailed you last year and did quite well. Totally agree on Auburn however, gotta temper these numbers with some logic in certain situations, (e.g.Coaching changes, Motivation, and having the momentum, ala Auburn) |

I like it. Seems to be what a lot of good cappers on here say in one way or another. Have you been following Phixer's NFL forum? If not I highly recommend it. GL

Cmon... why even put yourself thru it This is perhaps the best quote of the week! I totally agree, can't watch any games that I go under on. That game clock just doesn't move fast enough!! LOL |

Is that what you said two weeks ago when these same two teams played to a 13-6 Jacksonville victory? Not that history will repeat but it did just recently play out that way... |

In case you haven't gathered from my previous posts, I'm agnostic about the fixing idea. I don't think any game can be 100% fixed - there is inescapable randomness when 350 lb bodies are moving so fast. I also wouldn't bet than any game is 100% clean. So I'm basing these picks on simple trends.
I agree with your assessment of the fixing of games not being 100% either way. Don't think Gary Kubiak is working so hard as to suffer a "mini-stroke" and all coaches and QB's are watching hours and hours of film if they have any inkling whatsoever that outcomes are somehow pre-determined. But I do think the League via the refs. or other ways can influence certain outcomes if they chose to. I gotta say I am leaning Pitts. +3 and under right now, btw. |

I like it Phix as I was also seeing that as a letdown game for the Chiefs. SD +4 1/2 2 units. Also going to go on record as picking the NYJets +3.5 2 units and NYJets ML for 1/2 unit. It is the NYJets turn to win in alternating weeks and the Ravens don't scare anyone this year.

I too like Jacksonville and the 10 points. Also like the NYJets as a 4 pt. dog because it is their turn to win this week. (They have won every other game so far this year.)

I am here for one thing and one thing only: to make money. If Phix wants to explain, OK; if not, fine. If he wins, it speaks for itself; if he loses, it speaks for itself. The only thing that matters is bankroll, and it only matters over the long haul, not one game or a couple of weeks. Now you can all go back to ragging each other.
BOOM! Enough said!! Now who you got tonight, NO or ATL? |

It seems to this observer, that there are "fixes" where players are 100% involved in changing the outcome (which are rare but do happen) and there are "Phixes" where a variety of outside influences ( refs., schedule-makers, trainers, and a whole host of "fringe" personnel) do little or big things to try to SUBTLETY influence a game's outcome. May not always work but there are definitely factors working against certain teams at certain times.
