@ xaycopicks - That's total bullshit. At approximately 7:30 PM EST, on HBO's 24/7 Overtime, Jim Lampley reported that promoters had decided to wait until the game ended to start the fight in order to not lose PPV buys. He said "if you're planning on watching game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals and then switching over to the fight, don't worry. Promoters have decided the fight will not start until after the game ends."
So stop talking out your ass. This had to do with Arum losing Manny's fights to Golden Boy. |

He rocked Bradley twice and buckled his knees a couple time as well. Pull you head out of your ass before you start to type. |

Manny DESTROYED Bradley until the 9th. Maybe Bradley won the 1st round and 3 of the last 4 rounds... MAYBE. That does not equal a one round win for Bradley, it equals a 116-112 win for Pacciao and that is a worst case scenario for Manny. What a load of horseshit this was.

And what really sucks is boxing was gaining some respect back and now Mayweather drags it right back to the Tyson Zone. Great job, jackass.

Did anyone else here Weeks, the ref warn Vargas a few times to "keep 'em up"? He didn't stop the action, but gave the warnings on breaks.
I like Manny, Lamps and Merchant - the later for comic relief - but how did they all miss that? And Lederman too. |

I once watched the trunk of an Oak tree go down the river near the Riverbend neighborhood in New Orleans and that thing disappeared under the water, then reappeared, then disappeared again. And this trunk was 35 feet long easy; it must have weighed a ton. And, of course, it was super buoyant. That scared the shit out of me, I can tell you. |

And one late forty-something fan-douche had one of those green and white Jets jester hats on. It's really tough to take sometimes. Anyone criticizes or points out how obnoxious and annoying the coach and hype is and it's like you called their mothers street person or something. Chill out. Let your play do the talking.
I realize that's nearly impossible after observing many, many Jets fans strut around boasting in 11th grade Long Island or New Jersey accented English. It is just priceless. Good luck the rest of the way, tools. |

The stupidest coaching decision of the young season. You have Notre Dame defense that is forcing the Michigan QB to make decisions. This is limiting his passing options and, as the game wears on, forcing him to pull the ball down and run into containment.
So, of course, you get the lead and throw that defensive strategy out the window. Then, you allow Michigan to run off all of the remaining game clock as they cruise down field and score. Team hasn't scored all half and only attempted two long-ish field goals. but they don't even face a 3rd down on this drive. It's a shocking display of ineptitude. |

Oh and lest we forget this beauty from the Gate D denizens at Jets games here - https://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2039651297964999075&ei=rl9VS9XuKeqFlgfT5IieBw&q=jets+gate+d&hl=en&view=3#

First of all, that big fat sergeant had better brush up on his weapon retention training before he gets his ass killed. Watch how exposed his weapon is for most of the arrest. A fan off camera is practically touching it for a long, long time as he gesticulates behind the fat sergeant.
Anyways, I used to live out in LA until '97 and when the Raiders would go to the Murph (Qualcom Stadium now) fights and stabbings were a regular occurrence. So the Chargers locked it down. They would not sell tickets to only the Raiders game (you had to buy Raiders plus another Chargers home game) and they flooded the stadium with cops who "detained" scores of fans for no reason. Looks to me like that is what happened here. The cops brought in mobile processing stations and began holding the "detainees" somewhere in the bowels of the stadium. Then long after the game ended, the cops would release the detainees with a 8 1/2 x 11" pink copy of a form that states you were not arrested and the police have chosen not to forward your case to the DA for prosecution. This happened to a friend of mine. Now this Jets guy probably had no clue about the no-fun oriented SDPD, what being used to the insanity at Jets home games and all (see here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25W8er6BZ0E&feature=related). But the point is, the Chargers do not allow much nonsense to go on. This detain and release policy is basically: grab potential trouble makers and hold them w/o charge until game ends, then release. It's total BS and maybe what initially drew cops attention to this guy. Whether he was released or not, who knows. His special lady friend looks mortified. |

Lots of Giants fan rooting for the Cinderella story Jets, maybe they can beat Colts now FOR REAL (I think they could, how tight and nervous will they be, esp. their first year coach?) and then maybe beat Favre in the Super Bowl - this would be poetic justice for him using the Jets last season and ruining their season to get to Vikings this season Count me in. Giants season ticket holder for a decade and I want the Jets to win it all. The Jets get crapped on here way too much. if they could just make it to the Super Bowl they would get some more respect. Whomever mentioned that Jets were a run first, defense oriented team and "how can you not lie that?" Exactly. It's how the Giants have played for as long as I can recall until this year. There is nothing better than watching a defense just get after it. Love that. |
