At the begining of the season I picked the Packers to play the Patriots in the Superbowl and the Patriots to win. Im going against my original pick of New England winning the Superbowl and picking the Ny Giants. Yes the Giants were a 9-7 team that everyone had written off after a week 15 loss to the WASHINGTON REDSKINS, Tom Coughlin was all but fired and the Giants were done. Lone behold they somehow held things together in the final two weeks of the season with must win games against the Jets and Cowboys and find themselves in the Superbowl. Of the Giants 7 losses only 1 was a bad loss at home vs the Seahawks. 3 of there 7 losses were to division rivals, 1 to Philly and 2 losses to the WASHINGTON REDSKINS. Other losses include the Saints, Packers and 49ers, all playoff teams. This should be another classic Superbowl but I think in the end the Giants defense and passing game will be too much. Is Julian Edelman really gonna be able to cover any of the three Wr's for NY? Giants win 28-24 Good luck everyone

For those of you who didnt read the email I sent out, I have set up a Superbowl squares pool for anyone interested. It is run entirely online (work friendly) and is run on another site that we used previously for our March madness contest. The cost is $2 a square with a 10 square maximum per person. If all 100 squares are filled the payout will be $50 per quarter. I have already filled 50 of the 100 squares so if I need to start a second one I will. To enter it will require a password from me which I will email you once you have paid for the number of squares you wish to buy. If your interested please respond in this thread or through email or text to me and I will get the info to you. Good luck |

21 people signed up for the playoff/superbowl pool this year so the total pot is $210. Remember there are 2 ways to win which can be read in the rules thread. The player with the most points at the end of all the playoffs and superbowl will win half the pot and the player with the correct team and closest to the score of the Superbowl will win the other half. Please read the way in which the playoffs are scored since it is possible for someone to have more correct picks than someone else and have less pts since the scoring is weighted based on each round of the playoffs. I will have a spreadsheet after next weeks games with the up to date standings that I will email to all players that I have email addresses for. Good luck |

In week 17 there is no Monday night game so the tie breaker to decide who wins the final weekly pot will be decided by the Sunday night game between the Giants and Cowboys. If you are tied after all the 4 pm games have gone final then I will need a score for the Sunday night game from you. Theres a small timeframe for me to collect the scores so please be aware that if you are tied it is your responsibility to get the score to me. In most cases I will contact you through a text or email or if I dont have the info I need to get ahold of you then I usually know someone who can. I may also be collecting scores from the players who are at or near the top of the overall leaderboard to decide the year end payout. After the 4 pm games go final I should have a more clear picture as to who is going to be in the running for the overall 2011 top 3 and if it will be neccesary, so if you are one of those people I may contact you...Stay tuned to this thread
Last, I have set up the playoff pool page for those who are interested. It will be the same entry fee as it always has been, $10 and will be done the same as the regular season right here on wagerline/covers. The only difference from the regular season is the way it is scored which you can read about on the playoff page when you have signed up. Contact me for the title of the page and the password. |
