12 points for Duke in the 2nd H two from three and three dribble drive finishes at the basket. Carolina can't stay with Duke unless they go unconscious from the 3 point line

Carolina looked slow, couldn't stop Duke from getting to the rim at all. They also suck at free throws, Duke wins by double digits

after the way they played tonight and the loss, they will be ready.
Only my opinion. I don't understand the throw the stats out argument. Here's a stat you should consider. Duke and UNC have played 35 times since 1999 and have won 24 of those meetings (10 of those in Chapel Hill). Only twice during that time did Duke win by 1 point. Additionally of the 11 times Carolina has beaten Duke in the last 15 years they were ranked higher than Duke for 7 of those victories. If you put your money on UNC you are bucking history saying this will either be the 5th time UNC takes down a higher ranked Duke or that this will be the 3rd time Duke wins by 1 point (given he line is -1.5). Those trends are too hard for me to ignore and my money will be on Duke.

Duke wins tomorrow pulling away late. Cuse rebounds and sweeps Duke down in Cameron. Duke will play right into Cuse's hands by launching too many 3's, no way they make 10-18 against that zone like they did against the porous GT defense. The final kicker is Cuse will then turnaround and lose to Maryland in College Park on Monday night. A letdown at home, followed by an emotional win in Cameron, then they go back on the road less than 48 hours later to play a hungry Terps team that has a history of knocking off top ranked teams at home. All in less than a week.

As a life long ACC follower I just don't understand all the love for Wake??? Aside from blowing a big lead to Miami and then hanging on by 3 Maryland has dominated the bottom half of the league at home. As for them not getting to 80, they did that against FSU and Pitt (79) two of the better defensive teams in the league. I also don't buy the look ahead angle to Cuse. Maryland and Cuse are not rivals and it's an entire week away. If their next game was against Duke maybe but not Cuse. The only angle I see having merit is a let down after a heartbreaker in Camden. I actually think the number is good and I'm staying away, just thought I would argue the other side to those that think this looks like an easy cover for Wake. Best of luck whichever way you go.

Monster 3's down the stretch by Troy, especially the one with 20 seconds left. Nice to get a sweep after just missing two nights ago

Maryland beat he number 2 team in the country twice in the last month. The second time was a dominating performance on a neutral court in which they never trailed. One more thing, Duke was considered to be the overall number 1 seed heading into the ACC tourney now that they have Kelly back and were undefeated (before Maryland) with him. Maryland is better and more deserving than Middle Tennessee and Boise St. but I don't think the committee will put them in

What goes around comes around. We got screwed by poor FT shooting by Byrd the other night but get the ultimate back door cover on a missed FT and SC heave just over half court.
Way to go PP

With you on Purdue and BC
I'm laying off the PSU/OSU game, just can't convince myself they will stay close. But I hope they get the outright win for you tonight. That would set up a potential outright Big 10 title if Wisconsin could knock them off this weekend.

Beaver, why would Detroit at -5 qualify as a play. Kenpom has them winning by 3 for a difference of only 2. Wouldn't the line have to move to -6 before Detroit becomes a play???

The arguments I'm hearing for Illinois are the same arguments that were being made for backing Nova last night. They need this win more, could be a trap game, blah blah blah. Fact is Purdue needs this win too as they still have a chance for a share of the Big 10 title, and have a chance to go undefeated at home in Big 10 play, and possibly playing towards a #1 seed. I'm not saying Illinois can't come in and keep this game close or even pull out a victory but it's a big "IF" I think it's a play on Purdue or none at all, I can't back a team that I don't know what I'm going to get from versus a team that has been white hot and killing people at home.
