So one week down on the college football season lets take a look at my picks for week 2.
record to date 3-1 ATS (75%) Oklahoma @ Tennessee (PK) In what figures to be a tough road game for the Sooners they are catching the Vols at a perfect time due to injuries in the secondary. The high pass attack will be too much for Tennessee to handle. Sooners come away with an impressive road win. PLAY ON: Oklahoma(PK) Arizona (-10.5) @ Nevada The Wildcats go on the road and are laying double digit points to a very "live" Wolf Pack team. A stat that really caught my eye was that last weeks Arizona win was the 10th win in 14 games decided by 10 points or less. This Nevada team can run the ball and should not a double digit dog at home. PLAY ON: Nevada+10.5 Oregon @ Michigan St (-3.5) Big time early season match up Saturday night as the Pac 12 meets the Big 10 in prime time. I think the Spartans will have their hands full versus a very athletic Ducks squad. Michigan St better improve on the defensive side of the ball as they gave up 365 passing yards last week versus Western Michigan. I love that I'm getting the hook here in what should be a very entertaining game. PLAY ON: Oregon+3.5 Good luck everyone!

The NFL season gets started tonight with the Steelers going into New England to take on the Patriots. The line is a little tricky here. I think the Pats win the game but by a TD? The Steelers can score some points and New England is on a "Us against the world" mentality after the whole Tom Brady debacle. I'm not going to play a side but I do feel confident in the total.
PLAY OVER 51.5 Good luck everyone

I got off to a good start on Thursday cashing in with Minnesota+14.5. Saturday I have 3 games locked in...lets go.
1-0-0 YTD Penn St (-7) @ Temple The Nittany Lions battle their in-state foes as they head to Philly to take on the Owls. Both teams have very good defenses and points will be at a premium in this contest. Temple is looking for revenge as they took a beating last year out in University Park. But now they get the Nittany Lions at home and are getting points vs a sub par offense especially at QB. Penn St is 0-7-1 ATS over the last two seasons on the road. Match that up with Temple's strong 11-6 ATS record vs Non-conference teams and you have yourself a play. PLAY ON:Temple+7 Louisville vs Auburn(-10.5) *played in Georgia The Cardinals take on the Tigers on neutral ground Saturday in Atlanta. Auburn comes in with a well rounded team. They run the spread offense which can always cause a problem for any defense. They also have a star on defense in Cassanova McKinzy who racked up 91 tackles last season. The Cardinals have a solid RB in Brandon Radcliff who the game plan will be planed around. On defense they lost a ton of players but they do have a beast on the DE in Sheldon Rankins who recorded 9 sacks last season. The game actually looks pretty evenly matched so this number is a little high. Plus throw in the fact that Auburn 8-11 ATS vs non conference opponents. I'm taking the points in a game decided by a TD. PLAY ON : Louisville+10.5 Arkansas St @ USC (-27.5) This is the classic case of the big name school from the Pac 12 taking on the no names from the Sunbelt. But for people that actually watch the games they know that the Red Wolves have a top flight offense. Led by RB Michael Gordon and QB Fredi Knighton along with a trio of big time WR. The Trojans are solid no doubt. But Arkansas St is getting zero respect here. Especially with a 6-1 ATS record as non-conference dogs of 24 points or more. On the flip side USC has been a money burner going 0-4 ATS as non-conference favorites of 24 points or more. PLAY ON: Arkansas St+27.5 good luck everyone!!

I'm on the other side...we shall see. No doubt TCU's offense is the real deal. But Minnesota's secondary is solid. The Horned Frogs defense has some question marks as well.

First play of the season comes Thursday night.
TCU(-14.5) @ Minnesota One of the best QB/WR combo's in the nation with the Horned Frogs Boykin/Doctson go against a very talented secondary of the Golden Gophers. Laying big wood on the road is always dangerous. Minnesota's offense is nothing special but neither is TCU's defense. Take the home dog. Good Luck everyone! Play on Minnestoa+14.5

Took a little time off with the craziness of the Holiday weekend. But the last time I posted was Thanksgiving eve and I went 2-2. Here are my plays for tonight.
posted plays YTD 10-9 (52.6%) Eastern Michigan+6 UMass gets it's first true road test tonight as they visit the Eagles of Eastern Michigan. The Eagles have proven to be a solid mid major program. They lost to Kentucky earlier this season but that's there only loss and nothing to hang your head about. The Minutemen will have their hands full tonight on the road. Take a "live" home dog. Indiana+6.5 The Hoosiers are going to be a team that will be very dangerous come March. They get it done on both sides of the floor scoring 86.4 points a game. Also very strong on defense giving up only 66 ppg. Cuse will be tough on their home court. But give me 6.5 points with 2 teams that are pretty even. Michigan+7 The Wolverines are taking a big step up in class here vs Duke. This will be the first ranked team that Michigan has faced all season. But with that being said I think they have the talent to match up with the Blue Devils. I'm 0-1 when picking against Duke this year. But I think this one comes down to the wire. Take the points. Utah+10 The Utes have started the season 6-0 and have won every game by double digits. This line is way too high for me. I know Boise St can score with the best of the mid majors but so can Utah. I hate saying this buy this seems like a "no-brainer". Ucla-11.5 The Bruins are stacked this season and it's showing on the scoreboard. They put on a shooting clinic in their last game versus Northwestern shooting 63% from the floor including 13-17 from 3 point land. The Gauchos can't hang with the firepower of the Bruins. Good luck everyone

First off I want to say everyone have a happy thanksgiving and be safe out there. Last time I posted was Friday and I went 3-2. I have 4 games on todays card..
posted picks YTD 8-7 (53%) Youngstown St+6 Both teams in the game are legit in there respective mid major programs. With that being said I think the Penguins are getting too many points here. In state rivals so go with the DOG. Alabama+8 Duke has owned this series thru out the years winning 7 of the last 8 match up's. But this Bama team is pretty nast on the defensive side of the ball. I know they haven't play any world beaters (Oklahoma they lost). But I think they will surprise some people and keep this one close. Utah-11 The Utes have opened the season at 5-0. Every game has been a double digit win. Things won't change tonight. Indiana St-7 This is a game that could get ugly. Tulsa has no offensive firepower and is 0-4 to start the year. The Sycamores already have a nice win under their belt beating Notre Dame earlier in the year. Golden Hurricane's will continue their offensive struggles. Lay the points. good luck everyone.
