Vanzack---longtime admirer of yours---I recall your Game Hunter feud, your quest to get a pizza delivery guy to sell you weed, and your outrage at the Tennessee Republican Senator Bill Frist who did everything in his power to abolish online gambling for moral reasons, he was likely paid off by Vegas interests. I still hate Bill Frist. |

Cheers from Wisconsin....I keep looking out the window for the lunar show to begin, it's a crystal-clear sky, no clouds, a nice ending to an amazing NFL Sunday!

Great thread as always. Giants wanted this game and it showed. They played hard. |

I'm not even sure that was fun at this point.....What a weird frigging end to that game, |

Not sure why people cant see that. ILL is the only play to make on this game. Heritage Sports has moved Kavanaugh confirmed "Yes" to -1400 based on developments today...yesterday it was -200. It looks like you were right, barring some bombshell in the next 48 hours....wish I had bet it at -200, too late now. |

Heritage Sports has a line up on the Kavanaugh confirmation, currently "Confirmed" -205, "Rejected" +155.

I don't believe a word of this post, especially about buying a house and a couple of cars. If that were true, why would you be so angry at Scal? You would be offering him encouragement and praying to your lucky stars that he keeps posting picks for you to fade. The few times in my life that I tried fading---first Brandon Lang and then perceived "public" plays---I really took a hosing. |

I've had a ton of improbable sports betting bad beats in my life, it seems like they outnumber the lucky wins by a ratio of at least 3 to 1, but I kind of doubt it. In the time of Julius Caesar, the Roman statesman/writer Marcus Cicero had a quote---"We forget our pleasures, we remember our sufferings"---I've likely been extremely lucky on winning sports bets more often than I realize or will care to admit. |

PURDUE @ WISCONSIN: It’s the one and ONLY SCALABRINE SPECIAL CBB Play of the YEAR!
in College Basketball There's quite a bit of hype here in Madison about Frank Kaminsky having his number retired before the game tonight---the crowd and maybe the Badger team will be more fired up than usual. |

I've been a longtime Covers lurker, this is the most fascinating thread I've read on this website.
My two cents----the guy (Hugh?) who bet both ways on the same game, both of those bets in this contest should be null and void and removed from his record---it goes against the spirit/fairplay/honor of a handicapping contest, where the object is to predict a winning bet, and not "middle" lines.

Like Kate Bush sang to Peter Gabriel in their song "Don't Give Up", "We're proud, of who you are"

There seems to be a bit of confusion, I think the bet listed at the top of this thread is that Trump won't complete his first 4-year term---it's not about Trump winning re-election in 2020. If the bet was "Will Trump be sworn in to a second term of office on January 20, 2021?" I would think the "Yes" line would be in the +250-350 range.

Thanks, Mr. scalabrine, tailed you on the Clippers for $100.....not a ton of money, but $100 really does buy a lot of groceries. I'm not destitute, far from it, but $100 can buy an amazing amount of groceries if you shop for the basic stuff. Great read on the Clippers!

I live in Madison, WI and I haven't heard anything about Nigel Hayes being questionable. That said, I wouldn't have much confidence betting on Wisconsin....the only time they've looked good in the past month was the 2nd half against Minnesota on Sunday. Wisconsin has had 3 or 4 real stinkers the past 10 years in their opening Big Ten tournament game, as if they didn't really want to be there.

"Human lives which bucking incredible odds TO EVEN EXIST spend their 80 years on Earth tracking gambling threads"------Hahaha..funny stuff ..to put it another way, the gift of Life is a near miracle---probably a 500 billion to one chance---and you're going to waste it hoping some other bloke you don't know whiffs on his gambling picks? Such a waste.

Great hit on the over, VZ....it was a nice birthday present for me. It should secure Jurgen Klinsmann's job for the next two years--I'm pro-Klinsmann----there's no better obvious option.
