Good thread! Deion Sanders - over 20% Ken Griffey Jr.- 20% Greg Maddux - 20% Justin Leonard- got hammered and left 50% Hands down the best tip I've ever received was from Robert Kraft owner of the New England Patriots. Drinking 100 Acre Cabernet with a party of 8 left $800 on $3,000. |

Hey man, I have been been a long time lurker of the forum and after reading through a good number of your responses I'm convinced you might be one of the only people here that can answer this. Just like many on the forum, my friends and I are heading to Vegas for our 5th consecutive March Madness trip. We are incredibly interested in the in-game betting that Cantor is using at several of the casinos. My buddy was at the Cosmo for the Orange Bowl and NFL Sunday. He said it was revolutionary and just plain awesome. Not only to bet in-game but to skip the line (which will be huge for the Madness). My question is regarding limits. I understand that there aren't an unlimited amount of these hand-held computers so I'm wondering if you think the books will have a minimum deposit for an account or if it will be more of a first come basis. We are staying at the Trump and want to play at the Venitian. I appreciate your response if you have any insight. Also if anyone else has thoughts feel free to chime in! Cheers!

Hey guys, already starting to get ready for the start of the season which really isn't that far away. I was wondering if anybody knew of a site or mag that has non-conference ats records as well as ats records off a SU win or SU loss? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the response TRoe any mags you would recommend that do have the ats records mentioned previously?

Appreciate the insight guys. Every play i without a ? or () i've played at bookmaker. Nos, you are probably right about Virginia Tech that might be wishful thinking on my part. From what I remember from the last year they didn't put the games with D2 teams up until gameday. Good luck on Maryland Bracks thinking of making that one a 2 unit. |

This will be my first time staying at and experiencing the "super book". I'm hoping to catch some lines on the D1 vs. D2 matchups along with the more prominent names. Not sure if they will have those up though. I'd love to head to Red Rock sometime, I hear nothing but positive things about that place. |

Hey guys, was wondering what your thoughts are on this mag and if it's worth shelling out the 30 bucks. I have never seen the layout just read what the ads have said. Does it have ats records (ats off win ats off loss) like phil steele for football? Thanks in advance!!!

Not sure if this is the right forum but I was wondering how I would go about applying and hopefully obtaining for a job at an offshore sports book. I'm graduating in March and really interested in the industry. Any information would be incredibly helpful. Thanks in advance!

Things I learned this trip: - Don't mix a trying to win money sports betting trip with a crazy party trip. Nothing works out the way you think it will. - If you plan on partying hard bet your games for the following morning before you start drinking that night. - Never pay full price to get in a club in Vegas somebody can always get you deal. - Freemont Street, just like anything, is what you make of it. We had a blast.
Sports Book Reviews: (only went to 4 this time) Bellagio: hands down my favorite place to watch the games. Free drinks with no tickets, incredibly fast service, comfy chairs. Ballys: I know some people like this book a lot but I don't. They just renovated it so it looks a lot better now but I just get a bad vibe from it. Maybe it was the 1 ticket per hundo bet policy and the feeling I was putting the guy out asking for tickets. Caesars: Cool set up people seemed to be having a blast. Awesome if you have money on the two games being played on the huge screens (on my trip these were USC/San Jose St. and Georgia/Oklahoma St.). If you don't you have to try and find your game on the smaller tv's behind the ticket writer's. Oh yea 3 hundo for 1 drink ticket. I know to some of you that isn't anything but to me its a little steep. Bill's Gamblin Hall: Call me crazy but I liked watching the games in there. Yes, the chairs do blow but I literally had 8 games on up close right in front of my face.
Would love to answer any questions if I can, I really enjoy talking about Vegas! |

Saturday: Wake up at 11:30 furious because we missed the start of the morning college games. The game we liked the best out of anyone the whole weekend (Kentucky) had started and our team was up 21-0 at halftime (ended up winning 42-0). I consider that losing a $100. Anyways, go to Bellagio to try and find seats and its packed. Place some bets and go to Caesar's. Standing room only there. Joel goes back to the room to sleep. Tony and I go to Bill's Gambling Hall and find seats in their tiny sports book. Watch the games and start drinking again. We stay there until 8:30 @ night drinking and winnng. I end up winning 7 (Notre Dame, Michigan, Oklahoma St., Texas A&M, Stanford, Alabama, Washington) and losing 2 (Illinois and UTEP) up a little over $400. Our other friends Tyler, Alex, and Mike come in around 9.
Sunday: Wake up feeling like death around 2. Tony heads home. Mike and I go down bet Colorado against CSU and the sunday night baseball game Over. I want to say it was the Dodgers/Padres . Go to Bellagio not even thinking about drinking. Get there and three dudes from Monday: Wake up and head home.
All in all it was a really fun trip, I've gone twice a year since I've been able to gamble legally (3 years) so this is my 6th time out there.

JW- not sure if this is (most likely) completely irrelevant since your rooms are worth so much more than mine were, but i stayed with 3 friends in march at a comped room in the flamingo. My buddy with the comp couldn't get a flight out till 7 P.M and we wanted to bet the early march madness games so we had him put my name on the room when he made the reservation. I checked us all into the comped room and they never asked for his information or anything since my name was on it. Again I have no idea if this would work for suites as expensive as yours but just a thought.

Thanks Big Daddy for the response and info I am hoping to do a little line shopping between Bally's and the Bellagio since I can just walk across that overpass.

Didn't really feel too strongly about any of the Friday/Monday games. I was hoping the florida st. line would be lower like many on this board. However, knowing myself I will probably throw some money down on Tulsa after God knows how many drinks at the Ditch Friday's Party @ the Palms.

forgot to list Washington +16.5 (I know I'm going against just about everyone on the board)

...this one or the Las Vegas one. Anyways I'm heading to Las Vegas Sept. 3rd-8th to bet the opening weekend of college football on my bi-yearly trip (go for march madness opening weekend too). Staying at Bally's and was wondering if all sports books out there offer the ability to buy 1/2 points, or if was just available at The Hilton, Mandalay, etc. style books? I've done a lot of betting out there just never thought about doing so. I want to take N.C. State and buy the 1/2 point down to 3 assuming it is still 3.5 when i arrive thursday morning. I appreciate the insight ahead of time and look forward to chatting with you guys about college sports!
Here is my list of plays (again assuming the lines are similiar when I arrive)
Thursday:
N.C. State -3
Troy -6.5
Saturday:
Kentucky -14.5
Nebraska -20.5
Illinois -7
Stanford -18
Toledo +12.5
UAB -4
Sunday:
Ole Miss -17
Colorado -11.5
