people that want to know the actual story on this subject should probably read books like "Interference" by Dan Moldea or the "Fix is In", also "Larceny Games" by Brian Tuohy and then formulate their own opinions rather than buy in to the contrived rhetoric of your casual covers poster who is most likely the furthest thing from an expert on the subject

Keep it coming.

no prob buddy, good luck at winning a 17 week contest against the spread in the NFL, I stand firmly by my assessment that anyone who is in this gig to make money wouldn't have spent the last 13 years posting on covers and wouldn't waste their time in the LVH crapshoot....Steve Fezzik won that shitshow twice and his NFL opinions aren't worth anything, so unless this is just your transition from vanzack: lifetime covers poster to vanzack: petty tout I predict the same outcome for you

I know your not going to quit, SO....find a better betting formula.

lol at someone of his stature, isn't this the same guy that claimed he lived on a private yacht and only posted on covers when he was in port and could get an internet signal? I'll go ahead and answer my own question....yes it was.

Just another in a long line of covers wannabees living in their mommy's basement pretending to be everything they aren't in life.

If vanzack was an actual winning gambler he wouldn't be dicking around with a total shitshot contest like the Supercontest posting his plays on covers he would be too busy betting actual money on his plays. Real gamblers don't have time for the Covers soap opera, I myself am only on here looking for prime fades like these losers to make some real money on

Well, no, not really, it's called "structuring". every 5k bet = 10k+ winning ticket that the casino is technically supposed to report to the IRS

should the OP have cashed his 25 tickets -which would have required the partially blind refs who somehow missed TY Hilton getting tackled by the Philly defense prior to the final "interception" miraculously gaining full use of their eyes- he would have no financial record of the transaction, whereas placing and winning 5 10K+ tickets would have required 5 IRS 1099G (gambling winnings) forms

well, they said it on ESPN so it must be true obviously....notice kids how he clearly left out the distinction of Manning winning in cold wintry PLAYOFF games, which he never has, keep clinging to your hopeless angles for betting the Broncos, maybe your bookie will offer you a reload bonus for March Madness after you torch your NFL roll buddy, good luck with your wagers, I just hope everybody else is thinking like you so I can get Seahawks at a decent ML

Also I know the UH team too.  My post plays with this team was nearly 100% this year also.  I only missed 1 game and that was against Navy.

So take what you want out of my post and not talk about the WHOLE thing and try to crucify me if you want.  Doesn't deny what I posted as being true.

You state that Manning has never won in a postseason cold weather game.  You're probably right because I never checked it out.  But you also fail to state that neither has Wilson.  So who has the edge there?  If no one is clearly better than the other in such situation, then why the hell post it?  Useless and/or irrelevant information is not needed until such a time that it becomes relevant. Did you realize that the Superbowl is 12 days away?  I don't take weather seriously until it's a couple days before and that's not only for football's sake.  You can't take a meteoroligist's word for crap anything beyond that.  They're not mother nature nor are you, so prematurely stating it's gonna be hell is ridiculous.

And yes in my post I did tell you to take a side.  I clearly said that DENVER WILL WIN THE GAME BY AT LEAST 7 and if somehow I'm wrong by the 7 points, it will be no less than 3 which COVERS the spread.  Either way that CLEARLY says TAKE DENVER giving the chalk.  Is that clear enough for you?

any analysis from a person who states "You state that Manning has never won in a postseason cold weather game.  You're probably right because I never checked it out. " probably has not fully analyzed the game in other areas as well and therefore their opinions as such should be discounted quite a bit, sorry no matter how many different ways you post it, Manning has never won anything in a cold weather-outdoor playoff setting and has only defeats to draw from for experience, to try to draw a parralell between him and Russell Wilson is somewhat useless because he is only a 2nd year pro vs Manning who is obv a long time veteran.

If you like Denver bet all you money on them and be done with it, posting 600 times in this thread isn't going to help you on the field where it looks like despite your meteorlogical wishes it is going to be cold as hell............

Last week I called it down to a "T" what would happen during the Denver/NE game and you can even verify my posts since you can't delete them.  I called what would happen better than anyone on that thread did.  Denver led the whole game because they took the early lead.  NE had to abandon the run and rely on Brady's arm.  They got within 10 points at the end and had a chance to cover the spread no matter when you took it.  But because this is Brady's worst year, I couldn't give a high percentage of having him win that game thus calling the best bet being the Denver ML.  No one even came close to what I predicted and I didn't just pull that out of thin air.

I watched both games closely and you can't deny what is clearly on video and shown.  This is what I observed with Denver.  They became more balanced on the run game and it showed with the 100yd running game but they are still very pass heavy with 400yds totaling over 500.  Their defense throughout the playoffs has tightened up immensely becoming number 1 overall and number 2 in rush defense.  They shut out the best thing going for NE and that was their run game having to rely on Brady which sadly has lost a lot on offense.  Brady is great and he makes no name guys look great without a doubt.  But Denver has too much potent offensive talent, both in the passing and running game.  Overall this team has stepped up and clearly without a doubt proved they should be there.  No turn overs and pretty much as perfect a game you can get from any team, not because it's only "Denver".  This is what all teams aim for, good playing on all 3 sides of the ball.

Now lets examine that shame of a game from Seattle/SF.  Play NUMBER 1, Wilson runs around and fumbles the ball in the red zone.  Thank God you guys have a damn defense and held SF to only a FG.  I watched Kapernick run all over your defense and if it wasn't for the many turnovers, they would've EASILY handed Seattle a loss at home.  I don't like either teams so this is an observation of the whole game.  I gotta admit, it was more exciting to watch at the end than the Denver game because of all the mistakes and the closeness that ensued.  But it was a typical boring beginning of 2 "defensive" minded teams.

  1. Ok so now that we know that Denver played nearly pefect game compared to the sloppy display that Seattle showed, I'll tell you why Denver hands Seattle a loss and I'm predicting it to be by at least 7 but in the event that I'm wrong, it'll be by no less than 3 which will cover the spread regardless.  That's why we're here right?  To make money, not to cheer for our team.  This is a sports betting site so let's fill it with useful betting information, not how much you love this or that and because of your emotions is why your team will win.  So leave that garbage at the door because I am.

funny in his post he objectively analyzed his take on the game without professing his undying "love" for either quarterback (unlike yourself) and never tried to tell anyone to take either side, he stated quite clearly he was "just saying" these (his) opinions, which I took to mean he was offering the contrarian veiwpoint or playing devil's advocate

you on the other hand within the first paragraph of your post have called out the previous poster for being "too emotional" and yet in the very next sentence you state that you "love Manning"

this is completely hypocritical or as the old saying goes "its like the pot calling the kettle black"

A real analysis I think should include some discussion of the fact that Denver relies heavily upon their passing game to generate most of their points which plays right into the strength of the Seattle defense not to mention the fact that your beloved Manning has never won (or even played good) in any cold weather outdoor playoff games

so who usually prevails when a stout defense goes up against a prolific offense in the playoffs?

Well the old adage "defense wins championships" comes to mind..... but this is 2014, surely Peyton should be able to carve up the #1 pass defense in the league in an outdoor stadium in near freezing temperatures for the first time in his career right? What were the linesmakers thinking opening Seattle -2 in the biggest game of the year? Bunch of idiots if you ask me, how does vegas stay in business giving away a lock like Denver at less than a field goal? Unless they know something you don't?
