OK,,so far best bets in NFL,,aka Not For Long League,,IN MY OPINION,,have been,Dal +6 at GB,,Buf -8 vs SF,and Philly +3 vs Minny,,,,the " trap bets " as i see them have been Pitt +7 vs NE and Buff+6 vs NE.Both were just steamed by pats but line made no sense to me.and i like that age old adage "if you feel all warm and fuzzy about your wager your on the wrong side",,,"the bet that makes you sick is the winner",,,,agree or not there is merit to it.I really believe in pro football you had better cap the line not the team. That said this game stinks bad,Vegas does not give away money, but they did in the 2 trap games i mentioned. This is my opinion only so no need for the know it alls or the haters to come out.I read but rarely post. Most of these guys would not know who has outside contain on a toss play in a 4-3 defense, end.playside backer or corner.Answer if you can.Basic fooball and the answer is simple. At any rate i played bears in a big wager which made me wanna get a shot of whiskey. If Cutler breaks a nail it will be Barkley and i will need a bottle and a dark room.GOOD LUCK TO ALL

Agreed,,,Henry wears down Clemson front 7,with 3 to 5 yard runs in 1st half which turn to 6,8,and an occasional 12 to 15.He is a downhill back that gets his pad level low for a addtional yard or two being tackled.Bama's offensive line will get a push early and often. Then theres Coker to the "Riddler" play action for the big 20 to 30 yard strike.Coker is a winner.Bama's defensive front 7 is NFL type.Penetration disrupts mobile QB's like Clemson has.No doubt Clemson is athletic, quick and has plenty of speed, however Bama has seen plenty of that in SEC west.Bama capable of laying a egg and has in past as well documented.Personally believe this crew is focused and ready to put a exclamation point on the Spartan blowout which was close for a half.Clemson will need turnovers and short fields to win this one just like Ole Miss had and took advantage of.Alabama has not forgotten that experience. Its a ballgame and anything can happen but this is not Oklahoma,or North Carolina, and with respect to Clemson and the team they have and the season they had this Alabama team is just damn good.Real good. And deep. And fast. And stout.Bama 34-Clemson 10.

Post your 'fixed' picks in here each week, and we'll see what sort of long-term advantage the NFL script is giving you guys. Realistically, you should go 100%. A fix is a fix, right? But we'll just pretend that's not a problem of logic for now. "But I'm not a numbers nerd, I just know I win more than I lose" -Prove it. The NFL or Vegas will catch on" - Bullshit, You''re posting these 'obvious fixes' every week already. I'll even give you the Vikings and Under tonight. Now let's track you tinfoil hat guys to prove this absolute truth exists. It's a bit late in the year but we'll let this thread run into next year, as well, if anyone has the balls to actually start proving their theory. So those guys lift weights, run gassers, watch film for hours on end,and go out and smack each other around like they are in a free for all just to get a check for a game that has a fixed result??Strange things do happen, college and pro, that leaves you shaking your head in disbelief, but these same strange things happen every Friday night all over America.I have coached high school football in football crazy Alabama for over 35 years, the last 15 as a DC,at one of the larger programs in our state.Coached in 34 playoff games and 4 state championship games.I work the vast majority of the time from the box.Once bet the entire coaching staff a kid could not hit the 2nd long field goal of the night from our 42.A 52 yard field goal. The back of the end zone was clear for about 10 yards then woods. That ball was still rising as it passed the post and the ball boys did not want to go into those woods to find it.The staff ate porterhouses the next night and had a lot of beer and cocktails. That kid went on to kick 4 years at UAB and got a shot with Miami. When you guys that are always crying fix can tell me what a b gap trap is or how to teach a kid to reach block on a zone read or how to adjust to a 2 tight with a wing when you are caught in a 4-2 nickel I will think you know a little football.Dallas did a great job with their line stunts and blitz packages last night which is coaching.Their game plan was to hang around till the 4th and try to win it.,The same thing Coach Dooley did at Georgia for over 20 years.

Have not posted any plays in a long time. Will use units like most
1-normal wager 2- double wager 10 -Best play ,5 times normal wager 20-Load up Will not post extensive write ups with overwhelming stat facts. Not making a play based on "trap"scenario,or public vs sharps, write ups from RX or Sports Book Spy or any other outside source including this forum.Forty years of winning and losing, great years, terrible years.Coached football in this football crazy state of Alabama at the high school level 35 years.Last 15 as a Defensive coordinator at one of the larger programs.Have interaction with most all SEC and Sunbelt coaches both head and coordinators as well as position coaches yearly. Many other programs also.Dont have any "inside edge".These guys could care less about a pointspread.Their job is to win football games and recruit the best players possible to get that done.Have coached many that went to next level. There is so much work in building and even more in maintaining a football program that the average guy, especially if they never played or coached, does not have a clue of what is done. That said and it wont be repeated i like Alabama-16.5 Locals as they always do have put 3 to 4 more on this affair.Bama poked chest out last week bigtime. After 6 turnovers vs Ole Miss ,tide still was in game with a chance to win it late.M.T St was never in it.Alabama will want to play well at home tonight.Saban will have them ready. Make this a double wager.=2 Flordia-5 Line moved up a little.Tough to win on road in SEC.Gators coming off 2 big wins.Came alive late vs Tennessee late.Thats the never quit attitude coaches love.Dont like layin points period.Really dont like laying on road.Great feelin to go to somebodys place and beat them. Gators have the talent to do just that.Normal wager = 1 Gonna take a 3 team parlay on these 3 teams for 1 // New Mex+4 .Line droppin.Probably aint public money and Lobos love to and can run the ball Rutgers+13.Michigan St could be overrated and Purdue comeback could have been from the ole easing up,games won thought process.Guess i will find out Kansas St +8.Line droppin here too.K.St is always well coached and plays hard.May not have the speed in this one to match up but thats why they are the 3rd leg of a parlay. California +7.5.-With this QB this team is dangerous catchin a touchdown and a hook. You dont drop 62 on the ducks just being lucky. Not surprised if the Bears get ruffed up here but this is gambling so willing to take a shot here. Well who would have thunk it??Strange strange things happen in seattle land.Monday nite 2012 and two come down in the zone ,,both with ball,, hawks get the pick and next day fill in refs are gone.Tonite one bats the "stripped fumble"out of the zone,,line judge goes blind for a second, crew forgets the rules, detroit gets screwed and hawks win.But neither compare to last years NFC colossal goat f#kk.Packers ahead late getting what ---5,,,hawks score which you figure they would somehow,,someway,,then the onside and big boy packer has it ,has it,has it,doesnt have it.Then beast bust one for what 40-45.Then the mind blowing goin for two scramble with wilson running to sideline and then hurling completely across field and seadog tite end snags and walks in winning and covering and all sure thing packer tickets are done in.I was holding one.And like a true trap seer took seahags when they wemt to packerville in week two of this campaign and saw these woofers dominate the third quarter only to implode and lose.Did not play this one and to those who had it good call.It never even came within looking that it mite possibly go over.Last week itus is very dangerous in NFL but just dont see packers beating rams by double digits. Then again maybe i do.

I've seen teams on the verge of being blown-out come back and win, and I've personally been on both sides of those kinds of games. For anyone to say because something crazy happened is evidence of fixing tells me they have never played sports much or payed much attention to how things can play-out at times. |

They experience all the odd stuff that happens in games week in and week out . Cant say I blame them for thinking that way. However, Ive been on the handicapping side of things for years and study that dynamic. Its not a question of it being to unpredictable or "predictable" for that matter. Its --> can you pick winners ATS better than lets say 57%+ of the time using a strategy/ method/ information /money management ? Unpredictable things will happen ( intangeables) .Losing will also happen.. at a 43%clip. You have to be okay with both .If you cant handle 43% losses and the crap that goes along with it...its not for you. As far as people thinking the game is fixed and WWF. Im not going to say it never happen...but its highly unlikely that it takes place on a regular basis and that players are involved. |

This thread just gets stranger. From interesting to ignorant.Realize that might not be a adequate description but all i can come up with.I am no better or worse than anyone else.I have bet football since 74.I have seen a lot and i mean a lot of stange endings in the NFL and so have 99%of yall.Yep,southern.But i also coached high school football in this football crazy state of Alabama for 35 years, the last 15 as a defensive coordinator at one of the larger programs in the state and i have seen all of these stange things happen in real time,on Friday night.Everything from bad calls to dumb behind coaching.Even field goals to win the game that went doink.I attended dozens of coaching clinics, and summer camps sponsored by all the major schools and some not so major in our state.Alabama,Auburn,UAB,Troy,Jacksonville State, and several others.I met and got to know many ex pro players, and coaches, even coached alond side some.I've been to several pro camps,a few fall camps. You get to do all kinds of things in a good program.I will say this and you guys can either get what i am putting down or dismiss it and call me a idiot ,in the long run it does not matter much, these games are not fixed or scripted, weight rooms, training tables, film rooms, dining halls, once saw a practice where warrick dunn was running a toss sweep and warren sapp was right on his behind, all 300 pounds of him, step for step and dunn wisely ran outa bounds rather than turn it up with the safty running the alley and both fixing to bust his behind.Every player i ever talked to about it said people were stupid to bet on it not because its fixed but because its totally unpredictable.Anyway fan duel and draft kings are giving bettors alternatives. Before you dismiss this as nonsense i repeat that i too have been the victim of stange things and lost wagers. And won a few.But i have seen all of these strange things happen on friday nite ,,,the exact same things, all of em.Its a highly competitive game played by highly competitive people who work their behind off to get where they are.Wager free from fear of the fix.Its a urban myth.Phixer i enjoyed it.But this thread filling up with to much bull.

Trying to get on same page phixer.Agree with all of above as taught public school for several decades so i could coach high scool football here in football crazy alabama.Teaching a core subject rather than P.E. makes one more marketable as you can wear two hats. The duming down of public education began in 1996 and got pushed forward fast with Bush administration NCLB in 2001.Over 60% of all entering college are now forced to take remedial classes to get caught up for college work that also is not what it used to be.Many others told me it began way before 96 but i was not in it till then so dont know. But all is interesting and stupitiy abounds.Agree with all.Not sure where your goin with this as it relates to cappin football by far the most bet sport. But do believe i am picking up what your layin down. Will continue to read and see.

Agreed. No way.The sports channels, the analyst's,NFL films, former players,"miked up"injuries,on and on.It is not fixed.Maybe a few through the decades,a coach callin short plays, bad situational defense,an untimely yellow cloth pops out,,ect. But fixed??Nope, just too much emotion shown,to much field chatter from old classics disprove all that.Dont think thats whats being said.At least hope not.Thats so simple it screams of STUPID.Dont think the thought train in this thread comes from stupidity. As Root says and like it or not he is as a good a capper as any,you can know every stat ,every player, the bios of every coach ,player, and what a team did last year, this year, and likely to do this week and you will get your eyes beat out betting the NFL.For that matter any sport ,pro,or college. It takes years of paying and playing,at least a decde or more. Its about handicapping the line.Capping the power ratings, capping the cappers, the public, the touts ,all of it.Most dont hang around that long.Thats the angle i am getting from the thread "owner".If i am wrong then i will figure that out and quit wasting a couple hours and move on.But in the end thats the thing you gotta do to hang around.Know the game and all that goes with it.Could write a set of encyclopedias about everything one needs to consider but it all comes down to cappin the line. How Vegas needs it to go and how they want it to go vs how they want you and your money to go..

Tomlins quote. Now thats handicapping. But,he didnt score any.It was all Ravens. Two missed FGs.Two 4th down no shows.Sweep to short side.By Vick??68 runs by two blocks.Ravens smother it.Vick throws cross field to right.Little slide pattern or rub whatever your terminology is.Sails high.Tomlin-"my bad".Flip the script.Under cashes.Had to buy to win.Locals sat on hard 3.No buys.No this NFL thread but wtf.Bet against Auburn rest of year.Team fallin apart from inside out.NFL.Not For Long.Strange strange and stranger things every week.BOL.
