And when half GB backers on here are basing pick on fact that Maurice Pouncey not playing---wow, wheres all that faith in Pack? Steelers have covered 9 last 10 playoff games. Theyve covered 8 last 10 times as dogs. Theyve won outright 7 last 8 road Games. And Mike Tomlin is 12-1 SU against .600+ NFC teams. Oh yeah hes also won a SuperBowl. 25 guys on his side have played in this Game. 2 Packers. They expect to win and know how to win. I will take Tomlin and LeBeau with the 25 guys you can have McCarthy and Capers with the 2. How many threads started in Covers Forum this season about McCarthy being ass and his play calling? GB ranked #18 vs run this year allowing 115 ypg. and 4.7 per carry. Pitts ran 166 vs Jets and avg 120 per game. And with Pouncey out look for Rashard Mendenhall heavy "right" plays behind Flozell Adams--Pitt avg 5.9 yds/carry behind him this season. And Steelers of course #1 rush D allowed 68 ypg and in Playoffs Jets and Ravens COMBINED only 105 yds on 40 carries. Both with better run games than Pack. No sparks for Starks. Yeah I know this is where everyone says Mr Rodgers to the rescue. One jackass here even says he "lights them up like XMas trees". Yep thats the heart talking. #2 Pass D in league. 35 forced TOs. Sure Packs going score some pts but Rodgers is going to take some whacks here. Maybe even some cheap ones. And hes shown hes not as effective when hes getting whacked. Farrior--Harrison--Woodley--Hampton--Keisel--Troy--somebodys going to whack him. Ive said it in other threads--aside from his opening drive in Chicago--13-26 for 168 yds and 2 INTs and a big 3-and-out with 4 mins left kept Bears in a Game that shouldve been long over. I will stick with the big slow clutch QB thats proven hes tough enough and smart enough to win and can make the big plays when he has to. Maybe off field hes piece of shit but hes winner on. You can have the mobile flashy guy. Ill take the winner. 24-17 pitt faced only 2 significant pass teams this year, new orleans and new england, lost to both by double digits, pitt secondary is weak and itll show.... also ben "big game" persona is way overhyped, the guy simply does not play well in big games, atleast not for 60mins, he does however make big plays when needed..... this SB tho, he wil be facing a much better oppponent than previous 2 and he will need to be "big" for all 60mins, something hes never done.... ill take the "real" qb in this game, gb wins by double digits |

Atrocious. 2008 Super Bowl against Arizona (19th in Total D, 22nd in Pass D): 21/30 for 256, 1 TD, 1 INT. Average. 2008 AFCCG against Baltimore: 16/33 (48%) for 255, 1 TD, 0 INT. Average. 2010 AFCCG against New York: 10/19 (52%) for 133, 0 TD, 2 INT. Atrocious. Both Super Bowl wins came against trash defenses. GB best, most balanced team PITT has played in the playoffs over 5 years.

You will see.. he is absolutely clutch, no doubt about it... however this time hes gonna have to maintain a high level of play for a full 60mins, not just one game ending drive or a few clutch 3rd down throws like hes known for.... basically he wont have a chance to be clutch cuz he'll be playing catch up.... GB is best D bens faced all yr, and Rodgers is best QB Pitt D faced all yr, playing just as well as brady, and we all know what brady did to that swiss cheese secondary.... im not saying ben sucks, im betting that he wont perform at a high level for 60mins.... show me examples where ben has been "clutch" throughout a whole game and ill reconsider, i cant find one tho |

Here's the thing. Ben works great when extending the play out of the pocket, but the Packers have either the best or 2nd best CB1/2 combo in the league. And whereas the Jets have great coverage, they have been AWFUL on pass rush. GB doesn't have that problem.

easily? this is by far the best team Pitt has seen all yr and in either of their last 2 super bowls Ben wins the big one? perception of ben is way off and overhyped.... pitt wins with running game and D.... ben was awful vs seattle, and decent vs an avg arizona D.... for some reason that pass to holmes overshadows bens avg/poor afc 'ship/sb performances.... all this hype about ben being a clutch winner coming off a 10-19 133yd 0TD 2INT game??? give me a break.... Pitt will have to rely on Big Ben all game this time and he will be exposed for the fraud he is, believe it.... Rodgers is gonna light Pitt up, believe that too.... Better QB, better secondary, and team speed will be the difference in this game..... GB by double digits |

SB indoors in dallas and team speed on turf indoors will be difference in this SB..... Pitts hard hitters and below avg secondary will have a hard time keeping up with GB deep recieving core and Rodgers quick reads and release.... bad matchup for Pitt, GB wins by double digits |

GB will spread them out like AZ did with warner and "the big nose person" will light them up just like warner did..... only difference is GB has a D to go with that passing attack.... btw, 6-1 means nothing considering 4 of the 6 wins were in the '70s you vagina burp |

I think Big Ben will be under pressure all day though and that is why GB has a great chance to win IMO.. My point was just that PTB looks really dumb making these claims about huge bets and that he is very confident in the play, but he just thinks they will win by 4 and his main reasoning was "GB beat better seeds" and "the oddsmakers made GB favorites because they were scared of GB ML at +money".. If you reason that way to make bets you will end up down a lot of money.. im not defending anyone, just adding my 2 cents, which is what most guys like to read i thought, not ripping you either GB has big time advantages with their WRs vs Pitt secondary and their secondary vs Pitt WRs.... Pitt wont be able to run and control the game like they did vs nyj (in 1st half only really) cuz GB can score, and score quickly |

Totally agree GRAVY TRAIN. Pack gets out front early with those killer play action quick passes and Rodgers and Co. get off rolling to a very high scoring game with PIT playing catchup by Rapeisberger and his somewhat effective vertical passing game.

Big Bens gonna have to earn this one and not rely so heavily on his run game.... this is the best team pitt has faced all year and in either of their last two SBs.... Kurt Warner carved Pitt up, too bad his D was suspect.... Rodgers will carve Pitts weak secondary up as well and he has a D to back him up THE PACK |

Pitt has played only 2 "passing" teams all year, New England and New Orleans and lost by double digits to both New England-39 Pitt-26 New Orleans-20 Pitt-10 The next best "passing" team they faced is a toss up between Atl, Nyj, and Balty, all run first teams with young QBs.... Also, in my opinion Pitts #1 ranked D is inflated due to the fact that they play 6 div games vs pedestrian offenses in Balty, Cincy, and Cleveland.... GB has 3rd ranked D and O who is 2nd vs run and has two stellar corners to shut down an avg pitt passing attack.... plus big bens late game plays are overshadowing an extremely below avg day of 10-19 133yds 0 TDs and 2 INTs.... GB is hot team, more balanced team, with the better qb that can take over a game not just manage it Thats my rationale for taking GB in what i believe will be an easy double digit win and cover |
