MSU vs. Louisville
These two teams have a reputation for improving as the tournament progresses. Today will be an entertaining one and expect MSU to execute, rebound, and pull out a close down the stretch. The Pick: MSU -2 Duke vs. Gonzaga Gonzaga proved to uncomfortable in Houston as they shot terribly from 3. Expect that trend to continue and Duke to roll. The Pick: Duke -2 |

If there is a ML to play today this is the one. The Zags are coming off two comfy wins in Seattle which is essentially their home floor. They also shot 50% FG and 3pt when they beat the Bruins in L.A. Not likely they will do that in Houston. Fire away. GL

UCLA vs. Gonzaga This game is all about guard play. The Zags’ shot 50% from the floor and 50% from three in the 87-74 victory over the Bruins. That won't happen today. The Bruins squeeze out a close one. The Pick: UCLA +8.5 NC State vs. Louisville When these two met back in February the Cardinals shot a woeful 32% and were out rebounded 36 to 46. Louisville has improved significantly since then and Pitino’s teams usually gain confidence as the tournament goes on. The Cards’ will play better in transition and move on. The Pick: Louisville -2.5 Utah vs. Duke This is a contest of size and scoring. Both teams have respectable bigs who are going to make a difference. Duke has the slight edge in that department and in transition. Duke closes them out down the stretch. The Pick: Duke -6.5 MSU vs. Oklahoma Tom Izzo's teams rebound, execute in the half court, and take advantage of transition opportunities. Trice and Izzo are too much to deal with in this matchup. The Pick: MSU -1. |

Thanks. They should all be entertaining. Don't forget the Chris Mack used to work for Sean Miller so they know each other well. That usually leads to close games. However, it's the NCAA tourney... GL!

N.D. vs. WSU This game comes down to one thing: the GLASS. N.D. has won
the rebounding battle in each of its NCAA tournament games, and I expect that
trend to continue. They are significantly more athletic than WSU, and have a
slight size advantage. It’s unlikely WSU shoots 50% from the floor like they
did against KU, but certainly have the firepower to make threes against the
Irish. This one will be entertaining, and the Irish will roll The Pick: N.D. +2 UNC vs. Wisc. As much I as I don’t like to agree with analysts they are
right in saying this one is going to be a battle of tempo. UNC will push,
attack, and try to take advantage of Wisc. In transition. It’s unlikely they
will find a ton of success as Wisc. only sends 3 to the offensive glass. Wisc.
controls the tempo, glass, executes in the half court, and makes free throws
down the stretch to cover. The Pick: Wisc. -6.5 WVU vs. UK Has everyone written off WVU? Maybe. They are in a tough
spot against the Wildcats in this as UK tends to gain focus as the tourney
proceeds. Cincy exposed UK’s weakness on the glass even though they have a
significant size advantage. WVU will battle on the glass and hang around to
cover, but the Cats’ are going to the Elite 8. The Pick: WVU +13.5 Xavier vs. Zona’ Threes, threes and more threes. As these two coaches square
off in the round of 16 neither coach will have an advantage on strategy or in
game decision making. They know each other too well. This one comes down to who
makes the most threes. Both teams shoot above 35% from the arc, and whoever gets
the most comfortable in Staples will prevail. I expect Xavier to make enough to
hang around and cover this one. The Pick: Xavier +11.5 |

This is sure to be a shootout in the west tonight as Klay Thompson is back and G.S. took a short flight to Portland. S. Curry redeems his last performance in Portland, and goes for 30 plus.
Prediction: Warriors 112 Blazers 102 Bet: Warriors -6.5 |

Take L.A. tonight -7.5 vs Portland. The Blazers beat Toronto last night, and traveled down to the Staples Center this morning. The Lakers have the size to deal with Aldridge, and Camby. Also, Ron Artest has been known to lock down Brandon Roy. The Lakers should cover this spread fairly easy.
