#8 Posted: 4/29/2012 1:20:34 PM By the way, that was just a little joke. It's just that usually in a thread like this, Joanne will give some helpful warning about said sportsbook, and then she'll get a little criticism from a few others that like that book. I figured I'd preempt all that lol |

#10 Posted: 5/1/2012 5:48:41 PM I have used GTBETS from day one. In the past there was a site called VIP.com. It was exactly the same interface, everything the same. The story was that the site decided to close down. They gave plenty of time for players to withdraw money and refunded all futures bets. Then they shut their doors sometime in August 2011. Within days, GTBETS sprung up. Claiming that many of its founders were former managers of VIP and that they bought the rights to its former players and invited them over. Skeptical at first, I still signed up. Been with them ever since. They pay and have some decent promotions.
There have been a few issues, mainly with the timing of their releases. At Betonline I can wager on the next days action the night prior. At GT, the lines don't come out until morning. That delay hurts sometimes as early lines may be adjusted. There have been some issues in my favor. Human errors, I assume. There were a few instances where they had the moneyline price on the wrong side. For example a -5 favorite was a +195 on the moneyline. Clearly an edge to exploit! Keep in mind they do have the right to null the bet if they catch on.
Last issue I have with GT is their lines/prices are usually higher. Here is just an example from today comparing to another site, at Betonline the Cubs are +150, at GT they are +147. This is the case on just about every game. That's not really a knock on GT, they are in the business to make money, and it is the players due diligence to shop for best line.
I would say go for it and sign up at GT!

#11 Posted: 5/1/2012 8:25:14 PM With that said i would rather take a 5 cent hit on a baseball line....knowing that when i put my money in...i can get it out in a timely manner like they have
I am not here to make a living betting on games so...its not a huge deal...its just fun to have some action and even funner when you get on a hot streak
They have bonuses with a more than respectable rollover that you need to hit which won't take long....im not gonna play anywhere else |

#12 Posted: 5/1/2012 8:44:05 PM Glad you are also a supporter of GT, Belt. Getting payed on time is obviously a huge plus and a big reason of choosing a book. However, I must disagree with you on "taking the hit." Every single sound betting strategy out there suggests you get the best price. Sure, if you have determined the probability of an outcome will result in your favor and need to make a quick buck, then sure I guess that 5 cent hit really does not matter. And you know yourself well and are confident in what you want to put your money on. Good luck to you bro.
But for myself and many others. That 5 cent hit compounded over the long-term is HUGE .
Another perk of GT is they have Happy Hours of some sort where the juice is half off. And they also give you favorable lines on your favorite teams. This is huge come football season when a half pt here or a full point there can be significant.

#13 Posted: 5/1/2012 9:16:01 PM ya.........i get your point.......but i don't bet a ton and dont bet every day.............most of my baseball wagers are parlay related.....and i value getting paid more over getting that extra 5 cent line.............
if i was a bigger bettor i would prob think differently..........
i prefer basketball halftime lines......college and pros....so just dabble in baseball
GL to you biz......and their juice is lower on friday basketball games |

I'm with you rather get paid in a timely manner with books like GT and Heritage than deal with the horrific stories we hear on a daily basis with books like Betus, Betonline, Blowdog, 5dimes etc.

#17 Posted: 5/2/2012 10:02:03 PM I think GT is the best site around.
I used VIP for years before it switched. I NEVER had any problem collecting from them. The withdrawal limits kind of stink, but I always get my money. If I request a MG in the morning, I pick it up later that day. When I do WU, I get it the next day at noon. No questions and no problems.
I recommned this book to everyone |

Just to piggyback on this. Requested a check on a monday received it Friday of same week. excellent work GT. About to make them my primary instead of Heritage with all of the problems I have been having lately over at Heritage.
Keep up the solid work Gtbets!

#23 Posted: 5/29/2012 8:36:32 PM The site is the best. Doesnt have the best betting options, but you NEVER have to worry about not getting paid. Requested a check this morning already sent FED EX and a WU I will pick up tomorrow.

#24 Posted: 7/21/2012 10:59:44 AM Another payout collected. Not only for me, but also a friend who uses the site. They even do Western Union. Best though is check by courier however their fees suck if you are a small timer. $50 flat for amounts less that $600 (I think) and $50 + 6% of amount on larger withdraws. That is very very steep IMO. |

So underrated. People are sleeping on Gtbets. Quickest payouts I've experienced over the last year and half and that is including Heritage. I'm almost going to give Bet Islands a chance when football starts. Hearing a lot of compliments on them as well.
