do we get any updates anymore or is it all just over and done with. your number one book got busted, all our money got jacked, you guys made a ton of money off all of it in the process.

and we're supposed to believe that you had no idea what was going on.

Covers is showing terrible form on this

Not a word about this.

I used to give Covers the benefit of the doubt but after reading the stuff on calvinayre and the stuff on sbr, covers feels guilty. And I passionately hate bodog.

The whole flying to Costa Rica seems like a charade, and this silence is in poor form.

I'm surprised that people have let this die down so quietly, feel sorry for all the people that had money on betcovers.com , i mean beted.com

Again, covers isn't responsible for what happened... u need to be upset with the government for shutting them down and for beted for allowing itself in a position to be shutdown....

Covers isn't responsible for touting and supporting a book that sucked? Covers bears no responsibility for that? They were practically in bed with Bet Ed. I'm starting to think Covers actually knows A LOT more about this than they are letting on.

There is no doubt that they shoulder significant culpability; some constructive action is way overdue.

We are working outside of this forum on ways to get more information.

I updated one of the other threads last week about this.

So, have we washed our hands of it? No.

But are we going to engage in endless discussions that go nowhere, answering the same questions over and over while achieving nothing? No.

When we find more information, we will update.

I wouldn't base my understanding on what went on here on anything whatsoever said by Calvin Ayre or Gambling 911. Or on competing forums.

It's not like this place has given any valuable information to fill that vacuum if other places are ignored.

I am about as sure as I am in anything in life that Lou and Freedom haven't told us all they know.

Customers of BetOnSports have finally been paid, but it’s not all good news.  The settlement turns out to have been a paltry 4.6 percent for at least one customer who filed a claim with the US Government. To put this in perspective, if someone was owed $1000 from BetOnSports, they would be receiving just under $50.

BetOnSports Customers Receive Measly 4.6 Percent Payment After Five Years

A member of the SBR Forumannounced the news today.

Affected players were asked to make the claims following an indictment and subsequent closure of the company in July of 2006.  Nearly a dozen executives and high level employees with what was once the largest North American-facing online and call center sports betting company were charged with tax evasion and violation of gambling laws along with money laundering.

BetOnSports founder Gary Kaplan and former CEO David Carruthers have been serving prison time.

The company’s ghosts are starting to resurface as part of an Eastern Pennsylvania US Attorney’s investigation into former Nylon Magazine publisher Don Hellinger.  A grand jury investigation revealed that Hellinger had processed payments for BetOnSports the year prior to its shutdown.  Prosecutors are determined to take down Hellinger on the gambling charges, Gambling911.com sources familiar with the case insist.

The other thing bud is I hate to have to do my "job"...  Im no different than you ...we are MODS not owners of the site.. I have NEVER met any of the guys who run this site.. (I will be truthful about that)...I wouldnt know what they looked like if they punched me in the jaw...but I love the product they put out..so I will give them everything I have..

Covers is A LOT bigger than you ,me or anyone else on this board but they have ALWAYS treated me with respect....in return they have my 100% dedication..  YES i use other sites for "info"...but you will NEVER see me post as much as I do here... Im a stubborn son of a girl and I work in SALES (so you know we are not honorable....lol) but honestly I really care about this place..so I hate to see people dogging the garbage out of them... YES its true I dont know what goes on at "headquarters" but I know what I see and until they give me a reason to do otherwise then Im going to be a thorn in their side...lol

So thats why im in these threads making "noise".....  Please chill out a bit and let these guys help you....  I cant control what goes on up at the main place but we (mods) can control what gets typed in the forums...  I just want you to have 100% proof if you are going to type something like that..if you can prove it then I can't say nothing...

I'm all about letting covers "help me". I really am. I just haven't really heard any tangible way whatsoever that covers has helped thus far.

Thats because they havent helped. The only thing they've done is gotten in the way of a potential bailout deal from betonline a month ago.
